I grow up with the best Group ever. Nobody can switch there Voices like the Bee Gees. I love it. Amazing. One guitar and three great Voices. Thats the Bee Gees. ❤❤❤
As you saw in this medley, Robin sang many of the leads or at alternated with Barry. In the 60s, Robin sang more of the leads. It wasn't till the 70s that they(the record companies wanted the superstar look and Barry had the look. But in my opinion Robin had the voice. Barry had the falsetto, but Robin did too. You will hear it on Fanny be tender with my love, on Living Together
Robin's unique earthly vibrato...different layers of Barry's vocal voice...sexy deep voice of Maurice...these three Gibb brothers always moment of pleasure in music..🎉❤❤ forever my music...
Between Run to Me and Holiday at 5:17 is the chorus/ending from the song World. All of these are songs from their first few albums and the song New York Mining Disaster was sung in its entirety. I'm glad to see you appreciate their older material. So many reactors only look at the "Fever" era and stop there. They had wonderful, successful songs before and after Saturday Night Fever.
@@awordfrompresidentpat1985 - A shame these guys actually got blacklisted and no stations would play their music after the late 70's. Why? Because they were TOO POPULAR with Saturday Night Fever and they saturated the airwaves. That never happened to ANY other group in history. Did it happen to the Beatles when they controlled the airwaves? No! As a result they wrote songs for other artists and....who knew...those songs were hits for them, people like Streisand, Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton, Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Olivia Newton John, so it wasn't their songs but THEM who were blacklisted. In spite of that, their number of #1 hits is still near the top of the list of artists of all time. Their earlier and later songs are now getting heard thanks to people like you and You Tube. Long overdue. That is also exposing listeners to Robin and Maurice for people who only knew the "disco" era where Barry primarily sang lead. As Mo said, one of us is pretty good, two of us is better and three of us is magic. He was right. PS, that "vibrato" of Robin's was perfectly natural to him and IMO never matched since. To me Barry is the cake, Robin is the icing on the cake and Maurice the sprinkles. Personally, I usually like to lick the icing off the cake. 😁
Hi, I'm a great great great fan from Bee Gees. I'm from Brazil and feel very happy when I see so many channels reacting to their songs. Please, You must react "LOVE SO RIGTH", "ALONE", "I COULD NOT LOVE YOU MORE", WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW", "I STARTED A JOKE", only to start 🤭 because you won' t believe How many beautifull songs they have. They are the best musical group ever! Thank you!
The Bee Gees have been singing together since they were 6 and 9 years old. But they became famous in the early 60's and have made songs up untill the 2000's.. they wrote ALL of their songs as well as songs for other artist, such as Diana Ross, Dolly Parten, Kenny Rodgers, Celine Deion, Barbara Starsand and many others to many to mention. Sadly Morice died in 2009 and Robin died in 2012. Barry is the only one left.
Pat, wonderful reaction as always. This medley from a 1975 "Midnight Special" episode is just amazing but, in my opinion, every medley they ever performed live was a treat. Yes, they always sang around one microphone and had one or two guitars accompanying them but it was most definitely all about their wonderful vocals and perfect three part harmonies for me. Sheer perfection! And their new "Main Course" album was being featured on this show. They hosted the show and this medley was just one of several performances they did. So any song performed would have been from '75 or earlier. Their medleys throughout the decades were always a compilation of their older hits that everyone still wanted to hear but time didn't allow for full versions so they strung together, quite beautifully I might add, songs from their past. You're hearing a lot of Robin leads or leads shared with big brother Barry because most of their earlier hits were done this way. I'm so glad that you have discovered Robin's amazing voice. So many reactors never venture out to their pre and post disco eras so they never get to experience that ethereal voice of his. Thank you and I'll be waiting patiently for more of your wonderful reactions.
Omg! ❤ This channel came across my feed and the fact that you reacted to their first "career" of the 60s and 70s! Great reaction, going to check what else you've put out. Subscribed!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Oh man. You have to rewatch starting around 9.08. If you look off to the right you can see this lovely exchange between the twins starting with Mo putting his hand on Robin’s back and then they hold hands for a split second. You can then hear the audience laugh. We don’t see why, but i think Mo was trying to keep Robin from putting the palm of his hand near his ear when his lead part came in.
I had throw another thing at you. Pat you've become one of my favorite reactors of BeeGees music. You really appreciate who they truly were. I myself am a lover of the unique and ethereal. And so Robin is my favorite. I can listen to him all day. Keep reacting. I'll keep watching. Thank again
I love listening to you critique The Bee Gees. They were definitely one of a kind. I'm looking forward to listening to you review "One" from 1989. It's and amazing change and shows the versatility and underscores the reason for their longevity.
Great reaction. Have you reacted to "Wind of Change?" It is a rock song from '75 where Barry belts out the lead in his natural range! Please review! Also for more amazing Robin, Robin takes the lead in a beautiful mystical love song called "Rings Around the Moon". For amazing R&B, please try "Bodyguard", and the funky "Love You Inside Out" & romantic classic BeeGees sound of "Reaching Out".
I don't know If you know but there is a fourth Gibb brother. Andy Gibb passed away in 1988 at the age of 30 sang beautifully. Please, listen to "AN EVERLASTNG LOVE", "STARLIGTH", "LOVE IS THICKER THAN WATER" and "I CAN'T HELP IT (with Olivia Newton John). Simply incredble!😊
The "Nights on Broadway" song on the Midnight Special, Morris does the falsetto! Check out the Bee Gees: "Man in the MIddle" with Morris singing lead..
Maurice was always the middle man between Barry and Robin...rivalry between siblings was often..uh😢Maurice..was amazing for the brothers🎉🎉this talented instrumental expert in the band 🎉
I just commented on that. I didn't know that for a long time, even in many documentaries and interviews he is called Maurice. But, now I only think of him as "Morris" or Mo.
Mo (Maurice) doesn't sing lead in too many songs. To be honest is because Barry and Robin wanted to be lead. They would fight about being lead. There wasn't enough room in the group to have 3 lead singers. So Mo always stood back and let the light shine on his 2 brothers. Later in their career Mo sang lead on 3 songs that I know of. Closer Than Close, Man in the Middle and Walking on Air. Mo could sing falsetto and voice chages. He was a remarkable singer just like his 2 brothers. People don't think he could sing like his brothers but it's not so. Would you play his songs? He should shine like his 2 brothers also.
I watch a clip with the guys talking about how they worked everything out..No one was ever Left out ,when they broke up it was because they said " all their egos got in the way." They all all went solo they did very well but as they said " What good is being successful if u don't have anyone to share it with." Meaning themselves together...The three of them had amazing voices..They were all close at the hip so I can never imagine them leaving any brother out....
