every time i see these guys interviewed, they just come across as nice, humble "normal" people....a great contribution to the entertainment world..sadly missed
I got my first taste of the Bee Gees at our City's local public swimming pool back in 67 or 68. I recall the SONGS, To Love Somebody, and Run to me, so well. It played over the loud speakers of this enormous pool area, and you could feel the sounds thru the cement. It was fresh, and so heartfelt, the way they sang. I love them to this day, and will till I am no longer here. Best group to ever hit the stage by the way. Their harmonizing and beautiful voices were heavenly to me.
4 angels in heaven decided to come to earth and bless us with there heavenly voices. Then they up and left, but not before leaving us with wonderful music. Thank you God for allowing them to come. Imagine seeing a glimps of what we are instore for in heaven.
Sir Barry is still alive. He had a few years where he was puzzled as to why the oldest of the four brothers was still around while his younger siblings all passed away in reverse chronological order, but he is still alive & doing well as of this comment’s posting of March 3rd, 2024, in the same time zone as Sir Barry’s primary residence on the east coast of the US.
Robin was so funny when he talked about a case, the judge and the jury. Hahaha! Mo looked so handsome singing "don't forget to remember me" with Barry.
Yes Barry his son and daughter as well as some of the other Gibbs are carrying on the legacy. Andy, mo , and robing is deeply missed. Hope to have Barry around a long long time. N.JJ.
They’re very honest about their split. Happens to so many groups. They grew so much after that split. Their music got even better. There’s not one song I don’t love. Love seeing interviews with them. So funny. They bounce off each other like naughty boys. Brotherly love at its finest. Xxx
There is something so special about the BeeGees! There has never been a sound (&looks) like them before & I haven't heard anything that even comes close,to this day. Andy as well.what a terrible shock! How I miss him! I think Barry & Andy looked So Much alike.Incredible! What beautiful talent they all were blessed with. Oh & did I mention their GOOD LOOKS?I think 1 of the many things that made them so unique is their adorable humility! Their music was clean and respectable. They are all true gentlemen in every sense of the word. There's not much of that in the world anymore, including their great sense of humor ! How would I have grown up without them? Oh and did I mention how good looking they all are? LOL What woman in her right mind wouldn't notice that? I really miss Mo, Robin & Andy. I am still waiting to meet Barry, who lives just around the corner from me. I better stop before I write another book. Thank you all for your beautiful contribution to our world! Much love!
🥀Amazing interview with The Brothers Bee Gees! These Guys were way beyond their time in the music industry. With not knowing how to read music it's not hard to write by hearing how well you can hear the music inside your mind and pick up a guitar & understand how one play's it my Dad could listen to a song 1 time & play it on guitar left handed like Jimi Hendrix bass string on top and play a song. Bee Gees were Blessed with talents more than my Dad. They were amazing together. 🥀☝️🥀
I love The Bee Gees!! It must have been real early cause Barry looked sleepy in the beginning of the interview and u can tell they were tired it was way too early for them. They gave a great interview! I would have been so cranky I hate early mornings I love sleeping in. Also The Bee Gees have always been honest in their interviews and another thing I loved about them was the jokes! Rip to moe and robin. Thank u for posting! 💞
If you look at the little clock in the bottom right corner, it says 8.20am that's British time as this is like breakfast television in Britain early 80's.
Know I know why their songs so clean pure and romantic, their humble sweet boys. That's why we don't have that kind in this time, celebrities know so complicated sex addict and crazy for attention
Oh I love these interviews with the Bee Gees and the ones also with Andy Gibb. These guys are so much fun and so down to earth. I can imagine sitting talking with them and laughing the whole time. Their mother was right when she said in an interview that they just feed off of each other. Robin is so funny at the end asking the interviewer what time she got up, then asking if she and the male interviewer slept in the same bed! LOL The lady interviewer looked so sweet but so embarrassed.
So nice to see all three together, laughing and joking. Robin definitely talked more in the older interviews but became less talkative in later years. Not sure if it's because Barry talked more so the other two kept quiet. But I do enjoy it when the 3 are more engaged and actively answering the questions.
Hay algunas entrevistas donde sólo están MAURICE y ROBIN...Y ES UN PLACER ESCUCHARLOS HABLAR CON LIBERTAD, SIN LA MIRADA DICTATORIAL DE BARRY...EL RESPETO ENTRE LOS DOS, CEDIENDOSE EL ESPACIO..ADORO A LOS BEE GEES DESDE MIS 11 AÑOS, PERO ME MOLESTÓ SIEMPRE COMO BARRY SE CREIA EL DUEÑO DE LA BANDA...LE INFLABA EL EGO SER EL MÁS IMPONENTE FÍSICAMENTE, HASTA A LOS PRODUCTORES LES INTERESABA DESTACAR A BARRY PORQUE LLAMABA MÁS LA ATENCIÓN...EN UNA ENTREVISTA ME DIÓ MUCHA RABIA QUE EL ADORABLE MO EMPEZARA A HABLAR, BARRY LO INTERRUMPE Y ÉL LE DICE " PUEDO HABLAR YO?"...
@@ceciliarodriguezroge7692Hate much.....in the interviews when they were younger Maurice was always drunk and Robin was always on pills and neither one of them could be trusted not to embarrass the group so Barry took the lead. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE MAKIN 11:20 G YOUR ASSUMPTIONS.
As all interviews, interesting and insightful even though the questions had been answered so many times. So polite and witty too. They understood the music industry for sure.
As talented is Barry was/is I don't understand why they didn't stay in the charts all through the 80s and 90s.. it's great the success they had but if you look at all the songs Barry has written and produced for other artists it's phenomenal..that being said they did do Islands in the Stream in 1983 which proved them to be able to cross over and dominate any genre of music..I suppose they made their millions and wanted to enjoy life and not be so pressured to turn out 7 more Top 10s
5:42 Woman Journalist: "What about the orchestration who do you work with..." Maurice: "Oh, we do it ourselves. But, eh, we don't actually write, because we can't read or write music." Woman Journalist: "You can't read or write music?!" Maurice: "It's true, we can't." Woman Journalist: "I find that absolutelly incredible!" Maurice: "So do we." LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
Barry views himself as a lion. He’s very in tune and very accurate. The other two’s characters fit, too. 🤣 A lion is noble, big, strong, and impressively beautiful, and has impressively great hair, too. Lions also have mighty roars and rule the land. Fits Barry well. The other two, the dog and the buck-toothed, slick-haired beaver are beholden to the lion.
I was closer to Andy's age though they were all older than me. I was young when I fell in love with their music and it was not the disco are. I love lot their songs mo was my favorite.but I loved all the Gibb brothers, any time I can see interviews I watch as well as concerts. Its like I'm there.I appreciate everything they did. Brothers that was gifted , talented as well as good looking. Mo had his own style, that smile his sense of humor. So anytime something pop up I save it so later I can go back and watch again, its 2019, I'm still listening to the bee gees and Andy music. I miss Andy, mo and robin. That's why these old interviews care a treat for me. A fan of the bee gees and the Gibb brothers till the day I die.hope to meet them on the other side. Barry still with you. Love always, n.JJ.
In Argentina there was a Great Tango Singer called Carlos Gardel, of French descent. He said that the Sounds/Music formed in his mind, he played it in his guitar; but before he would forget it, he had to call a close friend who was the Song Writer. Both died in the same plane crash.

This is the year Robin bought Prebendal, Oxford where he stayed till his passing. The interview is full of insight. They learned early about fair weather friends. Barry was cheesed off by Anne's comments so was a bit reserved. Until Peter piped up and said BeeGees were THE best. Then Barry became very honest about their difficulties. I feel every interview they did, the interviewer made snide comments which made them defensive. If they had respected them more they would have given so much more insight into their experiences.
Awesome! Mentioning my group from Philly: the Stylistics. Lead singer: Russell Thompkins, Jr. Another group mentioned (in another video interview) William Hart - the Defonics (Philly.) And Frankie Valli (Four Seasons - Newark, NJ) the Bee Gees took the falsetto to another level. Robin is funny, but very serious about the group, each brother.
How Can You Mend a Broken Heart was released in 1971 and Lonely Days in 1970. So what Barry said about not getting a hit record between 1970 and 1975 was not completely true. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart was the Bee Gees first number 1 hit single in the United States.
What a nice and relaxing interview. Three great musicians conversing with naturalness, balance, counterbalance. Creating a feeling of pleasant harmony. What a time when intelligence and good taste reigned!!
MIO GRANDE AMORE ROBIN XSEMPRE ❤❤❤❤👄👄👄🙏🙏🙏🙏
My sister in law actually work at the federal court house when that case was going on. She was the federal marshals secretary. I believe she met Barry. She called afterwards to brag about it. She was killed a couple years later.
