My mom was in the audience and asked a question toward the end of the show. She passed away in 2014. It was amazing to find this video and share it with my Dad. Thank you!
Best looking time for Robin, gorge hair..!! and long hair suited him well ..!! Barry’s jewels..! 💖 Maurice always the classiest, the more stylish, best hat wearer, the cuttest...!! So down to Earth men..! GIGANTIC talents BG’s FOREVER 🙏💔❤️💎🇬🇧🎸🎤🎼
These men always give me a chill when they harmonize, The Magnificient Bee Gees! I love each brother, Mo, Robin and Barry, they love each other and we love them!
It's now 2024 I'm loving their music like it was the first time hearing it. Barry is the only brother left and he is aging like all of us, I'm 77, and have an idea of what his physical challenges have been, but he's still out there singing his country heart out! Sing on Barry and treasure your Linda, your lifelong love❤❤❤
Love hearing their comments. See how patiently Maurice waits til he can contribute without the two dominant personalities of Barry and Robin intervening. He maintains the peace constantly and puts in humour to relieve any stress. Love them all but especially Maurice.
They made beautiful music 🎶 🎵 😍 ❤️ together. There will never be a sound like theirs Bee Gees had their only sound They harmonies were perfect 🥰 💞 👌 😍 .Love you all
I Always Love ♥️ Hearing About Their Pass And Their music, I Love Hearing Them Sing , Never Got Bored. I Can Hear Them Again & Again I Loved The BE GEES . R. I. P. Mo & Rob ✨🕊✨👼🏻
This interview marked the beginning of my total devotion to yummy Robin. I loved Fever, but I didn't know anything about the Bee Gees except that. But once all that gorgeous Robin filled the screen of my TV, I found out real quick! Shortly after this interview, I rushed off to my friend's house to hear her albums - she was a big fan. Oh my soul... when I heard Robin sing on his own I thought I was going to die! His sizzling sexy combined with that heavenly voice is absolutely killer! Oh yeah... I've been lost in Robin from that day on. 40 years and counting beautiful 💗Robin💗, and you are still my crush. 🥰 Robin love is forever!
Best group ever. You can't find another sound like the Bee Gees. The most clean-cut and handsome group. They are and always be my favorite gr ❤❤❤. Love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 the Bee Gees for ever. Miss Robin and Maurice R I P you will never be forgotten Love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️ a huge fan love you all Barry keeps the sound going I am gladje keeps the sound going
Recently a woman posted that her son told her she was lucky. Because her music was so happy. I agree and am bow searching Bee Gee music everywhere. It's a fresh now as it was back then. FYI it was my music too.
Andy, Mo, Ro RIP ❤️🙏🌹 Gott segne Barry & Family
The 3 brothers are icons even though they never admit it. I always watch their interviews so many times and never get tired of them. Yes they were on drugs, their faults and everything. But at least they are honest about this not like other artists that cover them up.
The only one on drugs was Andy cocaine. Barry and Robin took amphetamine which was legal at the time to work late. Everyone smoked pot at that time, they did it a short amount of time. Maurice choice was liquor.
Robin looked so stressed-out at that time. He's still so gorgeous though. I can't help but feel sad for Robin, I believe he just got divorced. But then he laughed when he said he has two children and no wife.
HE'S MY FAV!!!🙏🙏🔥💕💕♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
@@Enthusiasmisgood He does have a strong singing voice. You can pick his voice out, it' s unique. As far as vulnerability,---I always hear a sadness in his voice. When you look @ the black & white video's of childhood,---he was a happy, playful, silly child. Actually as children it was Barry and Robin wrestling around in fun. And those two had a fascination w/starting numerous fires. As adults, they had power struggles with each other. They were both very talented, creative, driven, and competitive!! So why did Robin have such a sad singing voice? I still believe the change w/Robin was the two brushes of near death experiences in very early adulthood made the difference. I believe it seriously changed his life significantly. If you remember, Robin & Molly went through being trapped in both the train derailment and being trapped in an avalanche for 4 days. There were many, many people injured in the train accident and 49 were killed. Being in that scene, leaving that scene and @ hospital Robin describes the dying and dead bodies was like the war front of World War 2. I think of PTSD horror nightmares for decades of his life. He wrote several songs of other tragedies in spite of his own. He could relate to the people who went through that drama, he could understand the feelings and was mournful for them. He felt the emotions in his heart,---and we can hear that when he sings and feel that in our heart and soul. Then top that off with his own pain of numerous years fighting his own Cancer. His songs come from the depth of his soul. His voice has numerous times been described as "ANGELIC".
Didn't listen. To. The. Beegees. Much. When. I. Was. Younger. But. I. Do. Now. Alot. Everyday. God. Bless. Barry. Gibb. Rip. Maurice. And. Robin. Gibb.
Thank you so much for posting; I do love seeing the Bee Gees in 1981 and what I really love is that you left the original commercials in this video. They are just wonderful and really take me back, and it is a blessing to be able to watch this and, like a time machine, be transported back for an hour. Too bad dam RU-vid has to add their stupid ads. i remember when RU-vid was free and ad free.
I love all three....I think Robin may be a little difficult now and then....I have 3 boys....they're all different and special in their own ways.....boys will be boys
@@marykayd2781 yes we can still see how much they fell in love with each other, Barry said the moment he wanted to relive in his career was the day he met Linda. A truly unique couple ❤️
I dont think it was in them to make mediocre music... I was 15 yrs old when Saturday night fever came out... I dont think people today understand just how "big" the Bee Gee's were.. I saw them in concert when I was in high school . It took me a month of pay to save up for the tickets working at a hamburger joint... I paid $250 in 1978 for 2 tickets . ( minimum wage was $3.10 an hour) I intended to take a girl , but I ended up taking my kid brother , who was 3 yrs younger than me... The concert just happened to land on my kid brother's birthday . So I canceled the date with a girl & took my kid brother ..(the girl never spoke to me again...lol) He still brings it up occasionally & to this day he says it was one of the best times of his life... We were right down front & they sang just as well live as their records... I also bought the "Saturday Night Fever " album that cost $25. Not much today , but back then it was 2 days work . My father was furious that I spent $25 on an album. But it was my money & at 16 yrs old it was worth every penny.. The Bee Gee's were for the 70's what the Beatles were to the 60's... For a few yrs the only band that knocked the Bee Gee's off the #1 spot was the Bee Gee's. At one point , they had 6 songs in the "top forty" ...and they were #1 thru #6. What knocked their song from the #1 spot was one of their songs . It was an amazing time to be young & alive . I would'nt trade my teenage yrs for any other era musically..
Guardas y atesoras esos recuerdos. Bien por tí.
The "Centre Supermarket" ad brought back some memories. They used to had a store just across the street from my house on Alexis, that location later became Banner Mattress when they opened another gallery in town. Sadly it's been vacant for a number of years now.
This was a rather difficult period to be The Bee Gees. There was such a backlash against them in America and as hot as they were in 1978 and 1979, by 1981 they were almost completely written off by DJs and they struggled as artists for the entire decade.
I still don't understand what is wrong with the disco era. Was the hate only towards Bee Gees? I was born 1991 (no idea what happened) and I love Bee Gees so I am curious what made people hate them?
@@julieann4813 After the enormous, unprecedented success of Saturday Night Fever, The Bee Gees became the face of disco music - even though their music is not true disco - but nevertheless, the public branded them a disco group. Now, many fans of rock music did not like disco and by 1979 they started to rebel against disco music and everything associated with it. The industry needed a scapegoat for disco music and The Bee Gees were it because of the incredible run of hits and the public's almost instant distaste for the falsetto sound. Radio stations pretty much removed all Bee Gees records (even pre-disco) from their libraries by 1980. They spent much of the 80's behind the scenes and having great success as writers and producers. They had a huge comeback in 1987 across the world, but not in America. It wasn't until 1989 until they had a Top 10 hit with "One". No matter what style of album they released post-1979, they were always associated with Saturday Night Fever and disco, which in some interviews, really got under the Gibb Brothers' skin.
@@allisons3663 Wow, thank you for that info. I can't believe such thing happened to the Bee Gees just because their music (as people labeled disco) wasn't some people's cup of tea. I mean, rock music can be promoted without hating on other artists. I think no artist deserved to be treated like that.
If I could have spent just one night with Barry, My life would be complete. (Sorry Linda Gibb, I only say that because it was impossible to happen but....I can't help dreaming). I would never encourage him to cheat on you...well maybe....naw, I just couldn't ...could I? Hmmm, ??? : - )
Barry is a bit (a lot) annoying to be honest. He constantly cuts Robin very aggressively, he answers every questions without letting any of the other two chime in. Worst instance is ''well it's a different answer for each brother, for Robin I guess it's hard to say but form me it's ''Words'' ''. Wow, how rude. Painful to watch for that reason.
They may have decided before the show that only one would answer due to time, Phil might have required it. Producers sometimes suggest that, too. The brothers are very close and they live each other very much. The other two look chill, not mad.
@@happy777abc Unidos?
Donahue was so annoying at times. Kept getting facts out of sequence or incorrect. As they were trying to answer a question or correct Donahue's statement, he would interrupt again.
