This is my first year with Saski bees here in Michigan. And also my first year using a Lang hive. For the past three years I have had Italians in Warre hives. So this summer is an experiment. Findings thus far: The Saski bees are going crazy. I have had to add an additional deep and 2 weeks later they had that filled about 75% so I had to add a medium, as that is all I have right now. The mite numbers are almost non existant as opposed to my Italians in the Warre hive. The Saskis are just as docile as the Italians. So far they have a slight lead over my Italians and I hope they survive the winter better than Italians!

Thank you Mr. Dunn, Great Video. I loved your comments about the "Hot-Hive". As like every Friday you got me thinking about our hives. We also got what I would consider a fairly aggressive colony this spring. We noticed it from the start (purchased a 8 frame colony from a local supplier, turns out the bees came from a commercial pollinator company, that sent them from California) but, we blew it off as the bees were hungry from the trip. We fed 1:1, installed the old 8 frames ( 6 were junk imo old black comb) + 2 new frames into a new box, added a second 10 frame deep (new frames) and treated OA. Since then we've kept them fed and opened the box to make sure the queen was laying but, it seems they are getting meaner. Even when we feed (rapid round feeder) from behind the hive we have a few bees wanting to buzz our face or if standing 20 feet away we'll have a few that want to buzz us (they hate a camera)(: . Sorry this is getting so long but, it got to the point where I ordered a new queen (will be here next Friday). What you got me to thinking about was that old junk frames and comb "how" and "when" do we get that out of the hive? I notices from the start the bees went to work on the new frames and the queen was laying in the new even before the comb was completely drawn. Sorry for the long post, thanks again for your time.
@weasleoop
@weasleoop 5 лет назад
If there are valuable resources in the old comb and it is still good but wanting to get rid of it, eg came with a nuc or frames you do not like...Just put those frames on the bottom brood box and as winter progresses and the brood nest moves up those frames will be empty come next Spring. If you want to get rid of it now, let the brood hatch then put the honey and nectar frames out for the hives to rob out and take back to good frames within,

For the slanted hive cover question; incorporate a quilt box from the warre philosophy. Take a spare medium langstroth box, staple #8 hardware cloth to the bottom and fill it with wood shavings. Keeps moisture under control and acts like an attic during the winter. Have one on all my hives all year round, I just dump the shavings out come middle of spring.

I have been using Warre hives for a few years now. This is my first year with a Lang hive and I have made a quilt box for it out of a medium. I hope it works, too far from winter (thank god) to tell yet.

@@stansmith4054 Warre hives were actually the first I wanted to try, but Langs were just what was available prior to having the tools to make my own equipment so I just incorporated some of the warre aspects. Actually building what they call a "long lang" at the moment and going to give that a try... but with quilt boxes haha.

Hi Mr. Dunn! In case you didn't see this question on your swarm video, I'm posting it here as well: It's my first year, and I am worried that one of my two hives has swarmed already. I'm getting in there every week, and I find a dozen queen cups every time I go in. In the past couple of weeks, they've even been loading these up with eggs, turning them into swarm cells. Last week I found my queen, culled all of the cells, and added a honey super. Yesterday (A week later) I found and removed 2 capped queen cells (I must have missed them), and a 3rd that might have been a supercedure cell. I didn't see the queen, but I did see _some_ eggs (Not as many as I'm used to seeing). Plenty of capped resources. I culled all of the cells again, and will go back in to look for the queen this afternoon. How soon before a new queen hatches, does the old one swarm?

@danskisbees7348

Hello Fred! So you're a professional photographer, that makes a lot of sense. I was thinking you were a wildlife biologist, Lol! I started learning about bees in 2017, I just thought it was common knowledge that every caste of bee was fed royal jelly, I didn't realize it was new information. It's also fascinating to know that every female larva has the DNA to become a queen if triggered by the right amount of amino acids. You would think the trigger would be a specific combination of amino acids and not the amount. Bees are fascinating! The natural frames look really good! It seems like the bees really like the acorn frames. Your Flow hives are very nice! The Saskatraz seem to be very gentle. I've started wearing nitrile gloves too, they are so much more comfortable! Thank you! I do get slightly nervous when they crawl on my hands though, but it's dissipating, when I focus on the bees, I forget all about it. Thanks for the videos Fred, I really enjoy them!
@RaySarasin
@RaySarasin 4 года назад
Remember only the queen is fed royal jelly the rest are switched to bee bread, if a hive is queen less add a frame from another hive with eggs are the best. The hive will make a queen for them selves with this frame.

Hi Fred, your bee husbandry is commendable and you provide us newbies with very sound and experienced advice...Thank you. I'm in the St. Louis area, first few months, two Flow Hives, VHS locally raised nucs installed, second boxes added after a month and now a month has passed. Lots of activity. I am feeding sugar water, nearly a quart per day per hive! Have left bees alone btw, and don't expect to add honey supers this year. I noticed a few hive beetles on the install, and last week two scattered in the corner of my lid when I propped it for ventilation. One hive has been bearding bees out front at the end of a couple of hot days, and the other there are are a dozen or so bees dead on the ground over the course of a week for the last month. According to local bee club we are experiencing hive beetle issues, and a Master local bee keeper, (manages Missouri Botanical Gardens' hives), is recommending the use of nematodes in the soil below hives. In addition we had a guest speaker at out club last month, Illinois bee inspector across the river form here stating nearly all hives in her area experience European foulbrood. I'm not a worry wort, just your thoughts and experience dealing with either in a if your time permits. Thanks! Ron Adelman

Great video Fred. You are right. I read recently that it is not all about royal jelly, and its more about the pollen proteins that change a worker to a queen. That protein might be in royal jelly sure but its about something about the pollen proteins.

We really appreciate all your efforts on our behalf Fred. I always look forward to Friday when you post the new Q&A video. I have a bit of feedback. The toothpaste idea for controlling ants submitted by another viewer only works if you WANT ants to visit your hives. We put it on our four 3/4" pipes that support our stands and within hours the ants arrived on mass ate all the toothpaste then marched directly up the legs to the hive stand. They loved the peppermint toothpaste.

Good day Sir! Thanks for another amazing video! You are absolutely correct about harassing the bees! As a new beekeeper in my first year, it is extremely difficult to stay out of my hives... That being said, I have been pretty good about staying out and only getting into the hive once a week while feeding and every two weeks or so once the feeders came off. Which has been amazing for my hive 1... My hive 2 came as a nucleus hive in 10 frame mediums and I transferred them to 8 frame deeps in the first three days... This has in my opinion stunted the hive so far. They are hanging out but barely growing. Whereas the hive 1 was a package and they are booming... Great to see the differences in the two hives. But worried I may have messed up Hive 2 by messing around in it too soon and too often.
@LarryLeesBees
@LarryLeesBees 5 лет назад
Fred, Ha!!! I say all off this and then get into the hives today... Fred, hive 1 is a rock star! It’s my Flow boxes and I added the flow super because they are bringing in the nectar. Hive 2 has no eggs no brood, no new drawn comb and apparently no queen... bees are still coming and going but they are just filling the existing drawn comb with nectar but not drawing anything new... Should I think about consolidating them with the strong hive? Or attempt another queen?

Sir, I started beekeeping April 13th with three Saskatraz NUCS. I am pulling a half gallon per frame from all hives and they are refilling the cells. I am having good success with them.
@RaySarasin
@RaySarasin 4 года назад
I split this way - I shake 5 frames into there box moving the frames to the new box, then I add 5 new frames to it (checker boarding them) now add the queen excluded to the box. Next step is add the new hive to the old one overnight, allowing the nurse bees to return to the 5 frames you added. In 24 hours you can remove the box and put it in its new home. In the new box add 3 new frames then the 5 frames then 2 new frames keep the 5 frames together in this box in the middle. After 24 hours take the new hive and put it in its new spot and add the queen cage to it, now close it up. As Fred said watch the bees reaction to this new queen usually its good wella your new hive is born good luck with it

I am using mostly triple wax acorn frames Fred. Again because of you. The bees just love them. Never have any problem with the bees drawing them out. Thanks for trying the Mann lake ones, it is good to see that comparison. I talked to a Virginia supplier of bee stuff recently and they say to be careful with the Acorn Frames as they have those little black spaces on the shoulders of the frames on the edge and hive beetles can get in there. He said he had seen a hive beetle infestation when hive beetles get in those spots and bees cannot get to them. So I got a flash light and checked and I had nothing. But mostly my bees seem to fill those spots with wax and comb or propolis. But those little nooks on the sides of the frame are for the benefit of the frame. It actually makes the frame stronger with those divisions in them. But again just be wary that hive beetles can make a living in there because the bees apparently cannot get at them.

Keep 'em coming, I always learn something and enjoy the beeyard visits a lot. I have 2 questions, but first some background: I am not getting my 2 nucs until next week sometime. I elected to wait for a locally (southern Ontario) bred 2019 queen. The queens were grafted by the beekeeper at the end of May during 1 warm day LOL, and presumably will go on their virgin flight sometime soon. My understanding is once the queens have proven they are now fertile and laying, I can pick up the 2 nucs. Question: how much is the colony set back, if at all, if starting out as a 4 frame nuc including 2 frames of brood and nurse bees, a frame of resources, hopefully also covered in bees and a frame of comb, or something like that. I will offer 1:1 sugar syrup until they no longer take it. My feeling is it is okay to obtain a nuc this far into the season because the population will rise rapidly with emerging brood and the queen will have proven herself to be laying and with enough population and enough room to expand in the hive, the nectar will start to be stored. I will take no honey this year. My second question is how do you process all the beeswax you must inevitably accumulate from old frames, cappings, etc.? Do you have a video on a solar wax melter? Finally, it would be awesome to see the observation hive in action, once the glass situation is remedied. We will be able to see the bees in action without cracking open hives! Many thanks for continuing the FAQs! Also I look forward to more info on the Saskatraz bees as you get to know them. Did you try them due to genes for winter hardiness or other traits? Ha! That's a lot more than 2 questions.

Excited for another FAQ From Fred! Thanks for telling us about your camera! I'll have to go back and see your frog video, I missed that and always enjoy all your nature vids. I'm adjusting my Electric Fence line this year to encompass the new apiary. I found a hole about 100 yards away and thought it was woodchuck... until a skunk peeked out at me. It made me glad my hives were at the right height. I'd so rather have a skunk than a woodchuck! In plant management, we NEVER take clones or make plant copies on sick plants. We must always address health issues first, then make copies. It makes sense to apply this to bees and anything else we are propagating. I'm not sure I've caught this, so I'll ask... When you order a queen, are they virgin or mated already? From what you're saying here, it sounds like she has already been mated. Yes, this year has been excellent for flowers and bees... Mine have been ROCKIN since it got warm enough to fly. The one hive swarmed, and a week later you'd never notice a difference in population from observation. Haha!... My bees love me too.. When I stay out of their home! Thanks for the explanation of Royal Jelly... Yes, ALL plants, animals, and humans development is GREATLY affected by the quality of the food they receive. Another excellent video Fred! I really like the bee yard time at the end... it's good visual experience for us new beekeepers... makes it much easier to relate to your excellent detailed descriptions. HI Gregory, thanks so much! BUT, the actual good news, even with a Thumbs Down, is that engagement up or down still increases a video's rankings - odd, I know. I also know that not everyone is happy with the presentation, the presenter, or subject matter. If a video title has "Flow Hive" in it, there will be a magic thumbs down before anyone has had time to watch it. Thanks for pointing out that you alternate foundation-less frames with frames with foundation. I started my new hive in April using only foundation-less and the bees drew the comb out crooked, messing up some 10 frames of brood frame. To try to fix the situation I installed Acorn frames to the side of the brood area, which the bees totally ignored to the point that I thought they were going to become honey-bound and swarm. Last week I saw another RU-vid video and the person described the alternating technique that you too mention; where once the bees ignored the Acorn frames, they are starting to build on it. This is definitely a beginners mistake and, if you have time, I was hoping to hear your thoughts on fixing the problem. My hive is a horizontal Langstroff hive, and in the spring I was thinking of changing the entrance to the opposite side of the hive, perhaps forcing them to change the brood area ... this would avoid the risk of killing thousands of bees, perhaps including the queen. Thanks for another great video!
@weasleoop
@weasleoop 5 лет назад
So first off, you need to make sure your hive is level side to side. Bees will draw out frames if you break up the brood nest usually. They do not like having empty space in the brood nest. Last week my bees had not drawn out 4 acorn waxed frames all the way. So I checkerboarded them into the brood nest. EG. Honey..empty frame, brood, empty frame, brood, empty frame, pollen, honey, Those empty frames all were drawn out a week later and the ones between brood frames had brood in them. So once you get the cross comb or bad comb issue fixed you should have no problems. But really need to figure out what caused the problem.

Fred, in response to Amy’s problem with “hot” bees and vorra. Could you not move the honey super on top of another hive and treat them x3 and then replace the supers? It seems like making a split if they are truly “hot” would only compound the issue and make it harder to assess.
@FrederickDunn
@FrederickDunn 3 года назад

Great videos! Makes learning about bees a lot easier when you see it instead of reading about it. The thing I found most confusing my first year was what to do with the frames that still have honey in them that was only partially capped in the fall. Do you extract it out and feed back to bees? Freeze? Or store somewhere? Will it ferment during to winter when left inside basement? I watched a video where you test different areas of the frame for concentration levels and total together to figure out how the batch will come out. It ended up at 17.5-18%. Tasted fine but I worried it would ferment if not consumed fast. Any suggestion?

@weasleoop
@weasleoop 5 лет назад
Not always the case. Main rule to take is only open a hive if it is for a specific purpose. Do not open it just to open it. Have a rule before you go in. I want to see if my queen is laying? Open and as soon as you see eggs or young larvae you know she has laid within the past 3 days. Close hive back up. Or like Fred does. Combine things. Say putting more feed up top. May as well pop open the top and see if your queen is laying if that is what you need to find out.
@aberlend
@aberlend 5 лет назад
How often should you check to see if a queen is laying? How soon would you see on the landing board if she is not?
@FrederickDunn
@FrederickDunn 5 лет назад
I observe landing board activity daily and you will soon notice changes in colony behavior which may result in further inspection. You'll know that laying is going on and larva are developing when pollen is being brought in etc. Sunrise landing board observations will show if they are removing lots of dead bees, or even discarding developing larva if they are varroa resistant, etc. No pollen coming in, a more defensive colony, lots of guards, then an investigation is warranted.

@FrederickDunn
@FrederickDunn 5 лет назад
THAT is a great question and I'm going to talk about that in FAQ 21.... regarding the strength of adhesion, it doesn't matter at all, the bees attach comb to the full width of the top-bar underside and the wax provided by the beekeeper just serves to get them "started". Please explain the process used to do this. Thank you.
@FrederickDunn

HI Bill, I leave them all year long until the final nectar flow of the season. I don't remove them between spring and fall as they would continue to work the frames. After the final draw off, that's when I remove the entire Flow-Super and set the box to the west of my apiary where the bees clean them out - then it goes directly to winter storage in a protected unit until reinstalled the following spring. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you take it off during summer dearth for example. I just put them on the strongest colonies in spring, remove in fall.

Hi Mr. Dunn, question how do you calculate bee speed and distance? I’m trying to find a wild hive. I have marked bees making return trips on average of 8mins. 8 mins from when they leave and when I see that same bee again. How far would that indicate the hive is? Thank you for help
@FrederickDunn
@FrederickDunn 5 лет назад
Depending on the bee and head winds etc... they are doing 15 to 20 mph... if they depart and have returned in 8 minutes, they aren't too far away. Consider that she would be transferring her nectar or dropping off pollen also during that trip which takes five minutes (average) at the parent hive. So... guestimate a 1.5 to 2 minute flight time at 20 mph.... The parent hive is less than a mile away! Do you have a trap-feeder? That would allow you to catch the foragers on each return trip, rap them while feeding sugar syrup/honey - whatever... walk in the direction they returned from.... release again and wait for the return... each return cycle will get shorter... repeat... have fun and keep us posted!!!

In my neck of the woods, horizontal hives, including the top-bar hives have not done well. I would present more about them, but I don't have a single beekeeper friend who has had success going horizontal. I would never heat a hive, or put a hive in a heated shed as they need to respond to the weather cycles and conditions in the region where they will be kept. 1 - Why don't you want your burr comb on the ground? 2 - I've been feeding my package bees since I got them, two months ago. @weasleoop
@weasleoop 5 лет назад
It all depends on what you want to do. Some people feed packages for the first month. Some all season to build them super strong, to some only a few feedings to get them built up for a nectar flow. I would go with what people do down in TN locally as my standard. If you are taking no resources from them this year and you can afford it, and want to do it, feeding does not hurt all season. However be mindful if you are open feeding do it at least 140 to 300 feet away from your hives if you can and if you are feeding inside the hive during a nectar dearth make sure you watch for robbing on weak colonies. They will smell that stuff in there and can rob out a weak hive.

@FrederickDunn
@FrederickDunn 5 лет назад
Hi Wendy.... I'm not advising you to argue with your mentor. BUT, for me, that's a great way to destabilize your colony when they are trying to get on your feet. When the landing board activity is going well and looks right, I cannot think of a reason for doing a frame by frame inspection weekly. I think you know that my philosophy is to get in and out with minimal damage and a very short working time. If I have a hive top feeder on my started colonies, I can get to that and swap it out without the bees in the colony being disturbed. Have a purpose for going in the hive, find out what you need to know and close it up. Just me personally. Remember, you are intruding on their natural order and rhythm every time you pull frames. People who smoke their bees too much or too often can also slow or stop production for many hours after the inspection. All food for thought.

i heard a queen piping in the intro video clip! I am also amused by people who think their ‘pets’ ie. their spiders etc or their reptiles and things like that ‘like’ them or ‘like’ the interaction with them. No, to my mind, at the very most they may tolerate it without noticeable aggression. It is stressing the animal even though the owner may not recognize it. It may thrive inspite of the stress, not because of the stress. Social animals of certain intelligence do like interaction, animals like dogs and cats or larger herbivores that are commonly kept by humans. I couldn’t even say that snakes for example, recognize an owner for sure. I do believe goannas recognize familiar people scents though as they are fairly intelligent even for a reptile but even they don’t like being handled. I always think that attitude about pets is more about the owners psychological needs than about reality.

You absolutely nailed it Kym! Herpetology was my thing for many many years until I realized that I'd be poor forever. I can't tell you how many people owned snakes that they felt some deep spiritual connection with and carried their snakes around like a puppy. It was impossible to impress upon those owners, that the snake is merely tolerating being handled. A losing battle for sure. Show me a baby sleeping with a python and I'll show you an owner who is borderline insane. The highest intelligence I've ever witnessed in a snake was with a spectacled cobra (we won't even talk about King Cobras) - it seemed to anticipate my moves and was not easily fooled - I can tell you that it was not at all interested in being "hugged". Even Steve Erwin loved reptiles yet completely understood that they are not going to be "cozy" with owners.

I had a verry intelligent clownfish .Now lives in a museum aquarium but i miss my pet and could travel 400 km to visit him.Now he doesnt recognizes me from houndreds of people he sees every day but when i kept it at my home it shocked me how inteligent it can be.At times was jealous because i tooke more care on a new coral so he took bits of sand in its mouth to try to bury the coral.Such crazy fish was sleeping on one side like a human in bed wich looks like a dead fish. This is the fish sleeping mimicking death to draw my atention. i.postimg.cc/mD8cK5SN/07092014048.jpg

yes, I bred lots of geckoes, monitors/goanna of different sizes and snakes over the 30 yrs of keeping them and they definitely will keep you poor! I think you need to be prepared to work a lot harder and take a lot less personal interest in your animals and their welfare to make money at it or even break even. Not so much a hobby as a lifestyle. I gave it all up when I realised I was working full time just to keep that hobby going. I am pretty happy just with one small puppy now. I only had one pair of hot snakes (death adders) so I didn’t have that type of problem. Dealing with fast snakes like taipans and brown snakes was way beyond my acceptable stress levels. If you race cars eventually you crash, if you keep hot snakes eventually you get a bite.

@@58Kym We eventually had a small serpentarium and you're right, very expensive to operate. One way we not only controlled the food for your reptiles was that we also had a rat and mouse breeding program so we supplied all of the area pet shops as well as fed our own herps. It allowed us to break even in that area. I originally designed my home to have a center nature space with a series of skylights and the rest of the house formed a square around it.... well, my wife didn't act so enthused about that idea and we no longer keep reptiles :( Sounds like you've had some wonderful experiences and are in the know!

Opened one of my hives yesterday Fred. Found a large bumblebee they had killed that got in there. I have also seen bumblebees landing right on the landing board and get covered in bees. Like calm down bumble you do not live here.

@@FrederickDunn This one succeeded. Lol. She had 3 bees hanging off her when I pulled a frame up. I guess she was too heavy to move out, I mean if it takes 2 bees to move a drone out, what would something that size take to move out. I also had a dead miner bee on the landing board on one hive, and I have found multiple dead carpenter and bumbles stung out on the ground. I guess they can smell the resources in there, but there are flowers to go on, why even try to go in here. I have had. (red wasps, Hornets, miner, bumble, and carpenter bees all test the landing board and get stung a lot.. The other day I dunno if the bumble picked it up or the bee stung to her, but it looked like the bumble flew off with a honey bee.) Everything except Yellow Jackets. I still do not know why there are none out here but I am glad.

There are somme parasitic species of bumblebees called cuckoo bumblebees that can live in a beehive with the bees.Id let them live with the bees if id had them and i dont consider them a pest.Normally the cuckoo bumblebees lay theyr eggs in otther bumblebees colonyes but some chose honey bees.

A few hours ago I had a question about hive entrances relative to the frames and I need to clear something up before people start thinking I'm an idiot and making stuff up......Mr. Dunn's hives has entrances that are perpendicular to the hive frames. Mr. Scott Hendriks (another one of my favorite bee keeper....link to his channel ru-vid.com/show-UCiA38zEnFZW7SmcI0ogQGgQvideos ) has entrances that run parallel with his frames. Both use standard langstroth hive bodies and standard langstroth hive frames. The difference is in the bottom board. Generally speaking hive bodies do not have entrances , unless one drills a hole in a super as a secondary entrance but that's beside the point. The entrance to a hive is located on the bottom board. Therefore, one can if they wished put four entrances for all for sides of a hive on a bottom board or three entrances for three sides or two entrances for two adjacent sides or two for opposite sides or .....wait for it.... one on a side parallel to the frames. Of course the most common are the manufactured ones with the perpendicular to frame entrances. I'll have to ask Mr. Hendriks if there are any advantages or any disadvantages to his parallel entrance preference. I know from watching his videos that he builds and sells a ton of his bottom boards :)

Another fine instructional video Mr Dunn. Had another series of questions for you ,perhaps to be discussed in your upcoming FAQ. I was watching a previous video you had made entitled “First Flow Hive Extraction cycle how to remove honey without filtering frame by frame”. You made a statement , when you are filming your bees in at 3:15 in the morning(minute marker 28:17), that “ bees don’t sleep they work 24/7”. Is that true? www.bbc.com/earth/story/20160621-do-bees-dream If so ,and there are resources available at night time, do they forage at night? If not why not? Are they able to see in the dark? What are your observations? As always look forward to your logical insight.

HI Aaron, this is already my first question I'll be answering for FAQ 21 - it's like showing an overview of New York City at 2:00 am... still a bustling city with lots of activity... we may say it's a "City that never sleeps" yet, we certainly know that individuals sleep as is the case with honeybees. They sleep in shifts and as individuals, while the hive continues to function and is a flurry of activity. I'll talk more about this... thanks for watching and commenting! :)
@aaronluecking3597
@aaronluecking3597 5 лет назад
I was hoping that would be the case. The comment you made could be taken out of context if we did not think of the entire hive as a living organism. So in that context I agree , it never sleeps. Thanks for the clarification and I’ll look forward to your upcoming videos.

Do Bees sleep?
@FrederickDunn
@FrederickDunn 5 лет назад
I will add this question to my next FAQ 21 on Friday. Honey Bees are always doing something inside the hive, there is always activity and the "colony" never sleeps... However, individual honey bees can be found sleeping off and on throughout the day and night. They do sleep, and older bees sleep more often and for longer periods, while younger workers sleep less frequently and for shorter periods of time. Lots of "resting" bees can be seen inside the hive and often on plants.

@@FrederickDunn There have been studies that bees learn while they sleep, which means they may actually *dream*. That is so cool. Bees are so intelligent and amazing.

@@weasleoop I have a friend who is a Dr. of Bio-Psychology... she's done great work in the brain function of many animal species while they sleep... Bees though... I have no idea how anyone can link to a bee brain and see "sleep pattern" activity? Post that study, I need to know more!!!! :) She claims that insect brains are not accessible for that kind of study/observation.

This guy has never had real carniolan bees. Carnys are more gentle and display less robbing then Italians. Carnies have smaller clusters then Italian. They shut down brood production when natural stores slow down. Your just putting out a lot of misinformation

Hi Greg, you'll have to help me with a time-stamp on this video where I discuss Carniolan Honey Bees? Everything you said about them is true, and I do have them. Where is the misinformation you're referring to? I'm always open to discussion and am happy to correct something I've said in error. My Carniolans came from Olivarez Honey Bees, are they not producing/selling "real Carniolan bees". I look forward to more information from you, thanks.,
