Wow! I just made this in our Tovala oven and it's amazing! Baked 400 for 20 minutes. Got that little crisp too. I used Coconut aminos instead of soy. I'm 57 and about 2 weeks in no sugar and low carb eating. Love your channel.

I use the shaved steak from Kroger all the time, when it’s on sale. I made shaved steak fajitas, with lots of peppers and onions, yesterday. Will be trying this … minus the fish sauce.

Marinate the meat for. 30 mins in 1/4 t baking soda and 2 tbs Chinese cooking wine.,.. Pat dry on paper towels… perfect

I grew up eating Filipino food. I know how to cook sinigang (Filipino sour soup) which is great since it is my most favorite food. Still not sure how to make adobo (braised in a blend of water, vinegar, soy sauce, onion, garlic, black pepper, and Bay Leaf), pancit (stir fried rice noodle dish), lumpia (fried egg roll), sarciado (fish dish with greens and scrambled eggs), kare-kare (cooked in a peanut sauce), turon (Plantain banana sliced in half lengthwise, optionally topped with Jack fruit, place in a wrapper, and fried; Mom adds a sugary glaze to the outside; I skip that step; the older I get, the less I tolerate sugar; have to reduce or eliminate it in most of the recipes I loved when I was young), etc. Probably need to get some Filipino cookbooks. Lee only likes pancit and lumpia. Our son Daniel loves sinigang and likes the other dishes.

Can you do a cold meal prep where you can take for dinner/lunch but don't need to re-heat? There are times I'm out and about, and don't have a chance to eat dinner before 7p. After 7p, I don't eat anymore until the next day. Basically, I want to have a packed lunch in my car if I don't get to make it home on time. I don't mind cooking the food a week in advance... I just can't reheat it as I'll be out.
