One of the most beautiful piano concertos. A wonderful interpretation by Maria Joao Pires. She plays the piano. No show. No killing the keyboard. Just giving a performance with feeling and intensity.

La Pires plays scales with great passion and great delicacy giving the concerto a great touch of Romantic aspect that this music has incorporated. A great artist that plays the music of a genius.❤❤❤
What a wonderful performance. She is a magnificent pianist. Herbert is a wonderful accompanist he was with her all the way. Her performance was so sensitive.
Maria Pires is a star here but not the only one. H. Blomstedt was 96. I loved seeing her play with Martha Argerich on the same piano not too long ago. I never thought of them as adversaries and badly wanted to see them together and i was allowed to see it :)
