Another great video. Short, sweet, and to the point. I love my Boveda's in my tuppadors. They consistanly hold my RH at 69 to 70 %.

Hey Gerad I've been following you and I love your videos. I'm new to Cigars like 6 months and I love them. I started with acrylic humidors using Boveda packags because it was so easy to maintain. So on my acrylic air tight I'm using 69% Boveda and I got a glass top wooden humidor that holds 25 cigars and I seasoned it for 2 weeks with an 84% Boveda. Now I just purchase a 60 75% boveda to keep in my humidor, but I've been seeing videos to use 72% Boveda. Which is the correct RH Boveda to use in my glass top humidor. It was a $30 wooden glass top humidor and its nice for the price and it also got good reviews.

Hello El Mayimbe De NY, the concept is to use a Boveda higher than the desired level which is 69% since the glass top humidors are often not airtight and a higher level Boveda RH will compensate for that. Glass top humidors can vary in how much air is able to come through and the environment that the humidor is in also plays a factor. If you live in a dryer environment I would start off with the 75% and see how it does. Most importantly is to have a calibrated hygrometer inside so you know where the RH levels out at which then you be able to see if you need a lower or higher RH level for your environment and humidor. Thank you for watching and hope this helps!

I have one of those quality importers desktop humidors which states it holds 25-50 cigars so looking at the boveda chart I am not sure if i should be using 1 or 2 84% seasoning packets and 1 or 2 72% humidifying packets (after seasoning). Would 1 packet of each be sufficient? I dont plan on storing more than 25 cigars at any time.

Great video But how do i use these? Just lay m in the humidor? Or is some other action requird?

Take them out of the cellophane and just set the pack in your humidor! After a few months they will start to harden up that's when they have to be replaced, super easy! Thanks for watching and hope that answers your question.

Love your channel man! You deserve more views. My first cigar experience was not that good, I was in a cigar lounge, I didn't know what the fuck I was doing haha. That was before watching your videos. I just bought a lighter, a cutter, some Boveda packs, and I'm gonna buy some cigars with the advice of my tobacconist and smoke them at home, trying to replicate what you explained. Could you do a video explaining all the different types of cigars?

Instructions say not to take it out of the packet, but it comes in a clear packet. So do you or do you not remove it from the clear packet?

As in don’t open the actual packets in spilling the contents out, you def need to open it out of the plastic it comes in

Do you still need to season a humidor if using boveda packs?
@MardoCigars
@MardoCigars 2 года назад
Always season your humidor otherwise the wood will act like a sponge and pull the moisture from the cigars and the Boveda pack. Boveda offers seasoning kits as well to help get your humidor ready to protect your cigars. Thank for watching!

Why do I need 65% for cubans? I have a wood humidor and want to put all my cigars in there. Both cubans and other types. What do you recommend?
@MardoCigars
@MardoCigars 2 года назад
Cuban cigars are tightly bound and tend to mold at a higher RH level. It is ok to have them all together but go with the recommendation from Boveda to use 65% since you have Cubans in your humidor. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Make sure you use the right number of packs for the amount and size of your humidor. In a sealed humidor Boveda packs last a very long time. Also be sure to keep the humidor in an area that is cool without direct sunlight. Thanks for watching.

What if you have cuban cigars in a tupperdor? 65 or 69?

Best advice is to have a calibrated digital hygrometer and just see if it is at the desired RH you need. Best way to gauge what RH you need is how your cigars are smoking. If it goes out all the time the RH is too high. Burns really fast or has uneven burning issues you need a higher RH. Also a big part is having a properly seasoned and a humidor that has a very good seal. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.

How do you use them!!??
@MardoCigars
@MardoCigars 3 года назад
Hi Scott, thanks for the question super easy just take out of the cellophane place the bag inside your humidor. The environment and size of your humidor can have a factor of how many packs you need for the RH level you prefer. Best advice is to make sure to have a calibrated hygrometer to tell if you are achieving the desired RH level. Thanks for watching!
