I noticed there was a holiday special on the Bauer Polisher (Harbor Freight). Did anyone take advantage of the special price?

I bought one just for yucks. Planning on a different backing plate better grease. For $49, it was hard to resist. Nice cord.

I got one and changed the grease to lucas red and tacky and ordered a rupes 5 inch backing plate. Tried it on a vehicle over the Christmas weekend. Seems ok, i mean cant really complain for $49 😂

Brian, I have the cordless ShineMate 15mm. Came with 2 5ah bats, charger, and its a very good machine. I am a pro detailer, but I don't do it for a living. Just been doing it for 52 years😊. Hence why I didn't pull the trigger on Flex or Rupes. It gets used once a month.. more than sufficient. Godspeed and Happy New Year my friend. Always respectful, Michael

Appears to be a very well built polisher and looks to be smooth. This is perfect for glossing up the paint and doing enhancements and it will not wear your shoulder out. Thank you for the video!

I have the ShineMate EX620. Very capable and well made. They've been doing this for quite a few years now and offer great value for money.

The 620 is a BEAST. I have the 15mm and never lack power. This little one here looks very attractive for quick enhancements and may even finish better with the shorter throw.

@joeschmoe6908 Yeah, I have the 15mm and 5 inch plate, too. Works like a champ. Agreed that this looks like a great little unit. I could definitely find uses for it.

Brian Sir, if I may ask, for a beginner like myself is it sufficient for me to just purchase a 3 inches and 5 inches DA polisher and I'm good to go? Kindly advise. Thanks

Nice polisher and the speed control, out of the box, is ABOVE the power cord. Many of these have the speed dial under the cord where you can't see it and end up lifting the polisher off the panel. I find I get more work done with the 5" pads. 6" pads (for me) just don't do as well on these smaller type polishers. That backing plate is perfect. Do I need another polisher? Sure! I can run this 600W (guessing less than 7 amps without a speed control interface in the electronics as far as speed/load) one on a mini-1000-watt generator for small mobile jobs. Great review and have a Happy New Year.

Seems like a good polisher. At least it sounds quiet but you should wear headhones to protect your ears.

As a hobbyist who has experienced several entry-level 8-9mm polishers, that switch and dial setup is an absolute dealbreaker for me. I would much rather go with a GG9 polisher with a trigger mechanism (with lock) and the dial in a more ergonomic position. The GG9 also has a lot more power, so stalling will be less of an issue. If you're a hobbyist or just getting into polishing, nothing is more frustrating than stalling on every little curve or if the pad isn't perfectly flush with the surface, or bumping the switch to OFF when you switch positions.

Anyone know the difference between this unit, the ERO600G2 vs the older ERO600G1? Size, throw, and power all seem the same, this one seems to have the same backing plate as their more expensive units. Wondering what else has changed, since the price on this one is much higher.
@btbd2785

wondering if you could also use this for sanding? is the speed set up to 6500 high because it requires higher speed to compensate for he smaller motor and smaller throw?

Hello Brian, got the ShineMate ex605. Please would you recommend Lithium LiquiMoly LM 47 or Lithium comlex LM50 grease for this polisher. Both NLG 2. Thanks a lot

Nice polisher. I got scared when you lubed up your finger ..lol. I just bought a used Genesis G90 ultimate 5.0 AWD a couple of days ago. Of course it's all black. Have you dealt with Genesis before? Wondering on the paint , like soft or hard. Got scratches and some scratches on the leather too I don't know how to go about doing the leather. Awesome deal and drives so smooth

Don't you take out the factory grease before putting in the better one?
@TheCarDetailingChannel
@TheCarDetailingChannel 6 месяцев назад
I don’t know why they keep using cheap grease at the factory. Nothing worse than grease leaking out when it’s 30 degrees and you’ve been polishing for an hour. This polisher reminds me a bit of my older Porter Cable
