Sultan has his LS powered 911 too. Older Porsches used to go everywhere sideways or at least out of the corners in the Turbos they did 🤣 (Often not on the road anymore)

@@K_Swap_The_World_69I’ll start out by saying that I’m a honda guy as well but there’s a reason why the LS and JZ is so widely used. Pro drifting isn’t about doing something different. You use what is proven and reliable and those are it.

If they do, maximize the traction because the surface has INSANE grip

​@chelseadenofa do you find that the weight transfer is strange, maybe like sectioned or was that just visual because with the tandem with Grant his was one snappy motion and yours seemed front moved then the rear weight brought it the rest of the way around

Yes this is a gtx3071 gen2 but it’s the turbine wheel that’s the issue IMO. I’m going back to the bolt on unit for now. It was amazing on the car.

@@chelseadenofa Got it, I appreciate it! I was thinking about doing the NX2 turbo because it seemed like a good all around turbo. But if the aftermarket turbos have been problematic, that's definitely good to know. Thank you!

The NX2 is the best current solution IMO,

This is what happens when you trust the internet and other people. I never do, but I did and we spent more time trying to make the setup work because of the old turbo failing and not being able to get another one in time. The runners are 14” in total length and the diameter is correct. Obviously coating the manifold and moving something’s around would help tremendously. BUT, we had zero time and just had to let it ride. Trust me, I’m going back to the previous setup until I have time to do the bigger turbo on my own. The reason for going to the larger turbo… we were running 30psi and making a lot of heat and backpressure up top, while already limiting the boost and torque down low as the old turbo could to make 400ftlbs as low as 2500rpm. So the plan was to build something modular that we could actually use normal turbos on (the turbo bolts straight to the head flange on these engines). But unfortunately the mark was missed at a bad time.

@chelseadenofa I've watch the video and in there you explained the same I experienced: the car has a lot of forward grip in drift... and therefore I think it would be a bad choice to try and compete with... because of the different way the car gets around the track... I think if you put an mr2 against any other drift car like nissan or bmw etc... you get in the situation if you would ride the lead run, you wouldn't be able to make such big angle and drive away from the guy behind you... en when In the chase you wouldn't be able to maintain as nuch angle and consistent speed because of the forward grip... I know weight ratio has a big impact on the car. But would there be a difference in like... 50-50 with a FR Car compared to 50-50 with a MR Car....🤔🤪
