Every time I see your vids I just expect you to have a bigger truck every time 🤣

Hahaha that is a fair assumption to make!

I just had LiquidSpring 4 corner 5 link suspension system installed on our 26,000 lb motorhome at the LS headquarters in Lafayette IN. By far it's the best money I have spent on this coach, it's like going from driving a 26,000 lb. box to now driving a large SUV, it's that good.

That is great to hear!!!

Thanks for the video! Where do you store such a large spare wheel?

How's the fuel economy unloaded of this 42" single wheel conversion vs stock on highway at 70-80 mph? I haven't seen anybody mention fuel economy yet for this setup. Thanks in advance.

I vaguely recall Dusty mentioning close to stock. So 9-10. But reach out to Dusty at Buckstop and he can get you the exact numbers.

That is exactly what I want to do to my truck. Do you know about how much the install would be....like the truck you test drove?
@ExploringStillConnected
@ExploringStillConnected Год назад
I believe they quoted me at 7-8k, shoot Dusty an email or call the shop and they can give you the exact number.

This build-out is definitely on the upgrade list 😀

Is the Liquid Springs suspension better than airbags? What long term reliability issues are there? Any regular maintenance needed?
@ExploringStillConnected
@ExploringStillConnected Год назад
From my research there isn’t even a fair comparison . Liquid spring is an active suspension, it takes in inputs like speed, acceleration, turning, breaking, and weight to actively adjust the fluid dynamics. All of that makes for an amazing ride regardless of if the truck is fully loaded or empty. Also these are common in ambulance and have a pretty proven track record for reliability.

@@ExploringStillConnected it sure sounds like the ultimate solution! You know of any maintenance that needs to be done on a regular basis?
@ExploringStillConnected
@ExploringStillConnected Год назад
Nothing that I know of, general check of suspension every 12k and keep the hydraulic reservoir filled would be good things to look for. All of the parts seem industrial grade so probably going to run a while before service. I’m sure if you reached out to liquidspring they can give you details.

@ExploringStillConnected is correct. There is really no maintenance. Service lift of the struts varies with conditions, but is generally 75,000 miles
@RustySpurs63

@@buckstoptruckware3240 What if the the hydraulic system goes down...just sayin....then what? Where does the truck then sit as far as level? Does it bottom out? Is it still driveable?

How tall would your camper be with these options on your truck ?
@ExploringStillConnected

I’m at 11’ 3” now and if we assume a 6-8” lift I would be around the 11’9”-11’11”

I appreciate the video and the thorough review, but I hate to inform you that those are not “super singles“ those are just very large, very wide tires, and they converted the dual rear wheel to a single rear wheel. Super single is nearly twice the size of that tire.
