Behringer Odyssey First Jam - Carlo Mezzanotte 

An account of my first encounter with the Behringer Odyssey,
a very convincing clone of the original ARP instrument from 1972. Cosmetically, it copies the mkIII version released in late 1974, but it actually includes all three filters from the different versions of the original.
The architecture of the Odyssey can appear straightforward, but under the hood it offers amenities like ring mod, oscillator sync, sample&hold and FM - and above all, an unique sound.
I used the internal effects exclusively, with no external processing of any kind. I played in 'true mono' mode (via CV and Gate connections), without using the duophonic capabilities of the Odyssey. Also, I did not use the sequencer or the arpeggiator.
I played three half-an-hour sessions, playing and tweaking as I went along, then I chose the best bits. Since I shuffled the order of the clips a little bit, there are sometimes jumps in luminosity and color during the transitions.

Il mio primo incontro con il Behringer Odyssey, un clone estremamente convincente dell'originale ARP uscito nel 1972. Esteticamente riproduce la versione mkIII della fine del 1974, ma in realtà sono presenti tutti e tre i diversi filtri presenti nelle varie versioni dell'Odyssey originale.
L'architetture dell'Odyssey può apparire semplice, ma presenta funzioni come la modulazione ad anello, la sicronizzazione degli oscillatori, FM e un circuito di Sample&Hold - e soprattutto, un suono davvero unico.
Ho usato esclusivamente gli effetti interni, senza nessun altro processamento o editing del suono a posteriori. Ho usato soltanto la funzione di autentica monofonia grazie ai collegamenti CV e Gate, senza mai usare la funzione duofonica. Non ho usato ne' il sequencer ne' l'arpeggiatore.
Ho suonato tre brevi sessioni di mezz'ora ciascuna, sempre aggiustando parametri in tempo reale, quindi ho scelto i frammenti migliori. La sequenza temporale è stata un poco riaggiustata, quindi ci sono talvolta dei salti di luminosità passando da una clip all'altra.
