I couldn't deal with that crap anymore and I told her when I left that she should have told both parents to grow the fuck up and focus on the kids not the other spouse and that she has erroded their quality of life for petty bullshit and if I stayed in the job I would have called the welfare on her for child abuse. It should be a crime to feed kids for things like hyper activity or no focus. Put your damn phone down and PLAY with your kids. This generation has been destroyed by their useless parents. A good strategy to discipline your kids, give them options and tell them the consequences of their actions if they so choose to take said action. They will know what to expect and choose the best option.

It's foolish they do it, but again I don't blame them, when you don't know a thing about psychology and the average person hardly knows a thing about it, and you turn to an "expert" who's tryna take your money and please the pharmaceutical companies but giving them customers, the average woman in general might think that's the best solution for their child, because they've been told by an "expert" that it's the best solution for their child. It's really a shame though, with effective therapy you could bring out the best in any child or person, but meds is a great way to just cut corners and shut everything good about that child down.

Things are way different now that’s for sure. My great grandmother once clothes lined a kid in a corner grocery store who had broke loose from his mother. His mom called out,”somebody get him”.... He came around an end cap of spaghetti sauce runnin while looking back at his mom and......grandma laid him out. Full on Ric Flair style.His mother said thank you to my grandma and they both beat his ass together. This was 1976 and any grown woman had at least tacit permission to beat any kid who was actin up.

She felt that my overactive imagination would destroy my ability to socialize with the other children. Psychological and physical abuse of children is not good parenting. Hitting children lowers IQ, increases the likelihood of drug use and psychological disorders present and future and increases the likelihood that they will hit their own children. Just because pain compliance works, doesn't mean it's ideal. It's far from it. It's lazy parenting.

Respect for Ms. Pats choice to not medicate her crack babies. So many parents aren’t willing to put in the time and effort to help their own kids, let alone someone else’s kids.
My middle school friend did the same thing. They found a wild marijuana plant, took the actual leaves and put them in printer paper 😂 he had a head ache for like 3 days.
My sis had a bad elementary teacher who wanted her to start using the ADHD drug. My mom went to the school raised hell on the principal and told her the teacher isn't a doctor to be appointing medication to students. My sister never took that drug, was most improved student with her next grade teacher, & now has a 4.0 in college, clearly she didn't need that. Hearing this story infuriates me bc for a teacher to immediately look for that path tells me they have no patience or care for that child.
Imo, if you're in elementary school and not an endangerment to anyone, the drugs can wait. Let the poor child develop before diagnosing and medicating.

There’s a big difference between abusing your children and DISCIPLINING them, of which they are surely lacking these days. Nowadays, you talk to your kid wrong, cps is right at your door. When I would threaten my parents w/ “cps” they used to just hand me the phone and tell me to dial the right #… which I never ever did. It’s a crazy work we live in today… and I’m a millennial… was raised in the 90’s and 2000’s.
