Just keep it all on RU-vid. Stop putting in extra steps, that don't work as well as RU-vid. I support this company fully, this is where I draw the line
RU-vid is hard to beat! However, its a good business decision for them to decouple their success from YT's success. All of my favorite RU-vidrs are doing the same.
Bring back the third hour. The app is buggy and is a mess. Tried it and had to delete it because it wasn't working properly. Fix it and let us have the third hour back.
I LOVE The Ramsey Show. You are, hands-down, my favorite! I listen to every Ramsey Show on RU-vid on my computer, and have done so since 2017. I'm out of debt, mortgage free, in baby step 7. Now I have to switch to the App for the last hour? My phone battery dies, and now I can't listen, plus I can't find the last hour on the App. It's easier to continue listening on RU-vid on my computer. Who's idea was this anyway? Shouldn't you be making it easier for us, instead of more complicated? Looking forward to the next Ramsey Survey!
Day 3 of i hate the app. For me, its the equivalent of Ed Sullivan telling people to switch to the radio and listen to the Beatles encor performance the night of their American debut. Can you imagine how angry everyone would be, rightfully so. Almost as angry as the youtube comment section is today. Because its just ridiculous to expect people to switch platforms in the middle of a show
Great analogy! You might have accidentally revealed a little bit about your age. I too, remember the Beatles debut on Ed Sullivan. :) No apps for me, thank you very much.
My husband and I are super wierdos! We built our house with NO MORGAGE! Its taken 8 years but its almost finished and its worth around if not more then $800,000.00! We have three paid off vehicles and about to pay off the last and a boat! We are almost debt free and also already have 6 months emergency fund set aside! I wish we could go on that cruise! We will be on baby step 7 soon!
I have no interest in "the amazing job of becoming debt free" for 2 people starting at $200k and going up to $500k. I remember, from many years ago, someone saying, "any idiot can live on $600k/yr. It takes a genius to live on $30k. My wife and I became debt free 4 years ago. As sole provider, making $36K + a side hustle, we paid off a 15 yr mortgage, that we barely qualified for, in 8 1/2 years.
Completely agree with everyone that the app is buggy. Everytime i leave the app and keep listening to it, it crashes. So buggy. Please bring back the full episode on youtube. listen to us
I love the Ramsey crew and their teachings, but I refuse to download the app for the remaining half of the show. I live the Ramsey way, below my means. I don’t have fancy expensive phone with tons of storage… so I don’t like to download tons of apps. RU-vid was the perfect place to watch the team. I guess I’m only going to watching an hr of his show for the remainder of the change. (And before people start assuming I can remove restaurant point apps to make space 😂 I don’t do those either lol. I meal prep)
@@amireallythatgrumpy6508exactly what I meant. The negative commenters are saying boomers and the elderly can't do aps which isn't exactly true. The boomers and elderly are welcome to come along or not. He's not the one leaving them behind. Considering his son is a gen z and George and Rachel are mills, that's where it's going . Come one come all
WHY THE APP? I respect Ramsey and if there’s a compelling business reason why the show is switching to the app I’m curious to hear about it. Meanwhile, I tried the app, meh, couldn’t update my phone until I deleted a whole bunch of apps to make space, and the Ramsey app didn’t make the cut. The show is just shorter for me now.
2:05pm so glad he came clean with it instead of giving into silent despair and doing something bad. Work together from this day forward. You can recover from money problems and grow closer together you, your husband, and Holy God.
That last caller made my eyes water. I hope she’s doing better and that they were able to help her. I’m sure she’ll be successful at whatever she decides to do.
We gotta get back to, "So, what do you do for a living?" The first caller who owed over 4 million dollars stated her husband is a business owner. What business is non functioning and needs a million dollar warehouse. This show is the same unless you ask a question like that.
For the guy doing private lending in his 401k, his other risk is collection risk for the monthly interest he is receiving on each loan. I’ve done this. When a borrower does not pay you the monthly interest, your rate of return decreases significantly and you need to then make additional collection efforts on interest in arrears. Also, he is not diversified at all.
I'm listening to this on the app now. Glad I can still engage in this way. I'm debt free... Paid off my solar and roller shutters this last Wednesday... I'll never use PayPal pay in 4 ever again. I'll always have my fund for the oh no kids grew again moments and NOTHING fits. Humm was amazing to deal with only $8 monthly fee and internet free is what I used for my roller shutters and solar loan. But I hate paying out money that could be going into a high interest rate bank account to a business that still has $8 more of my money a month.
On 21/08 is my birthday and me and my husband is currently working on baby step 1. We will be in a better situation next year. We are on the 3 month of budgeting and seem to be almost there with the numbers. I would love to get the financial peace university to support our journey.
Won't be using the app. If your consideration for youtube viewers to miss the later hour b/c they're not choosing the app, what can one say? That there's nothing too important that I'll miss? No FOMO on this end.
In that old clip, Dave sounded like all the televangelists on at the time. Brought back Jim Bakker memories (and not in a good way). Thank goodness he doesn't sound like that any more.
id assume its for control. the more u rely on other platforms the more ur at the mercy of their algorithm. the algorithm could change tomorrow and limit their ability to reach ppl on other platforms. so the more u funnel traffic to your own platform, the more control u have over the content your audience gets and the more impact u have by growing a core audience
I may be misunderstanding your position on helping out parents but I found several scriptures that require us to honor them in just such a situation. 1 Timothy 5:4 ESV, But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God. 1 Tim 5:8, prov 23:22, mark 7:10-13, john 19:25-27... hope this helps people with how God feels about the parent/adult child relationship.
I have become a weirdo! I can't wait for the next month to come and I can pay more off! It's an odd addiction. I check the ED and my bank account too. I was living like too many people. Previously, if I had money I did not care where it went, as long as I got what I wanted when I wanted it. I did not pay attention to where and how much money went to anything. Once a year, for the prior 23 years of marriage, my wife and I would have an argument (petty on my part) and say we were getting a budget, and x, y, and z would then happen. Nope, I finally spent a month (July 24) on an Excel budget; then several days of my vacation reviewing the previous 3 years' statements...I was shocked. We are broke-broke! Mostly because we allow immediate wants to direct our lives. We make enough money but spend beyond our means. I wish I had found this when in college!
The first caller is why I would never recommend women not work and leave everything in someone else’s hands. It’s too much risk. 😢😢😢 Both people need to be aware of the financial situation
The break in continuity is annoying. My bank disconnected it's 24/7 automated phone teller and says to use the app 😲 Don't understand the business decision to use apps.
I'm 20 now and am basically unable to buy a house and don't know if it'll ever be achieved. It's sad a house was so cheap back in the day. Wages definitely haven't kept up. Rent it is I guess.
Dave, you forgot that the US is a melted pot of all cultures. We are an Asian family in the US. In my culture, parents and siblings are also our responsibilities. Taking good care of old parents is also the children’s job, just like it’s the parents’ job to take care of their children. It doesn’t mean we have to pay for everything but to help them when they need help and provide care when they are older. My mom has never asked me but I have been sending her money every month for the last 3 years ever since I graduated and got my big girl job, and make it my priority. It’s not out of guilt or anything, and it’s only $100/month. My sister is older than me but she got scammed and lost $5k (all of her saving at that time) and I helped her pay for it because I had the money. She said she will pay me back, I said Ok but in my mind I thought it’s okay if she wont pay. It’s just a normal thing in my culture and I am willing to do it. They appreciate me and never would take advantage of me. And I am proud that I could help my family.
I love Dave Ramsey show & have listened for years. We only get 2 hours so what. It’s America…run your business like you want. Some of you need to get a LIFE😂
@@randilevinthol4617 it doesn’t integrate with Apple play and you can no longer watch the show directly on a smart tv. Their viewership is going to be depleted on the app. Huge Ramsey fan and I live right near their headquarters. Worst mistake since the Gazelle debit card
I don’t understand why Dave says children have no duty to their parents…of course they do. He says his principles are Biblical and therefore can always be taught but it’s just now in very modern times that it is even a possibility for parents to take care of themselves. If you even had to ask Jesus at his time if I need to take care of my parents in their old age he’d think you were morally depraved.
This so called Jesus said let the dead bury the dead when a man said he couldn't follow him. This was regarding his father. Also it says for children to be obedient

No, he is saying that the parents should take more responsibility of their finances and not live sloppy with their finances and ask their children to support them. He is not saying not to help them- but just be wise about it. Do not be an enabler to negative behavior.

@@MONI-bj1msWhen you are living underneath their roof in their house. Once you become an adult you must have a relationship with God yourself. You should read their notes- and not take the class that they took. You do not have to make the mistakes that your parents made but learn from them.
Here's an idea: Someone who doesn't like the app makes a comment and everyone else who doesn't like the app hits the "like" button. Another person who likes the app makes a comment and everyone else who likes the app hits the "like" button. That will mean that 90% of the comments are not all about the app. I like reading comments from people who can add something to the conversation and present additional ideas. Dozens of comments about the app are annoying!
Again, ladies, listen to Dorothy near the end of the show. Make sure you have skills and an education - you never know when you are going to have to take care of yourself. You can keep a part-time job and take care of your family. There are a LOT of short programs at community college for women returning to school. Her income should qualify her for almost complete financial aid.
