Excuse me but currently I'm learning Japanese from many sources and I have been interested to learn from you, so i wonder if it's completely free (asking this too for those already subscribed it)
"Aloha state" was a crazy series. It started off relatively calm, with a very friendly and relaxed bunch and one by one they were slowly replaced with more and more extreme characters. The last few episodes felt more like a movie than a reality show, it thus feels almost surreal to hear Chikako talk about "her life there", rather than "the character she played in that movie called aloha state". It's pretty cool to have it the other way around... realizing that a "movies you watched" was actually real.
What an unexpected interview, but pleasant to watch! Chikako was one of my favourite members on Aloha state and its nice to see her doing well now! Especially nice to hear that the members hang out sometimes.
Just discovered the show, watched the first episode of this last season in which Hana was in, right after that I decided to Google about the latest episodes and found the sad news about her... I don't think I'll ever be able to watch this show after the news I've read
I had such a crush on Chikako on that season! She seems reluctant to talk about Terrace House production. I wonder if it’s simple professionalism or an NDA or what?
@@Zeis i mean the whole point of signing one is that you aren't expected to talk unless you wanna get sued about it. like thats the whole point of an NDA
Chikako was my absolute favourite, it was a lot of fun watching her on the show. Personally, I never felt her and Taishi were a good fit, but then again, I was only watching a reality show so there's no way of telling what was and wasn't real. And it's not really my place to judge a strangers relationship anyways.
She had appeared in one of my short film when she was a child. At that time , I felt that she had special something. I admire her courage and positive attitude ,and I am sooooo proud of her. Chikako, I'm sure your acting career will be an encouragement to young actors in your home town. Keep acting Chikako, I will always be on your side! :) Yumi
Wow!! I really need to finish my novel and get back into my classes with Yuta-先生 I feel like I've missed out on an entire WORLD of things I never heard of here!! Idk who passed but my condolences goes out to their family, friends, and all of their fans. 💔💔😔😔
I don't know if they really try to get "normal" people on Terrace House, especially Aloha State. Cheri turned out to be a total nutjob and almost ruined that entire series.
The best season of all! Not for the drama (for that Karuizawa is better) but because it was very interesting to see the clashes in culture. People felt more natural and relaxed.
Yuta, please try to interview Kai Kobayashi from 2019-2020 I'm still salty and angry at how Fuji TV handled that, pretending like nothing happened despite having people come forward after THAT happened... If they hadn't denied and help her mother, maybe they would have recovered some good faith with the public and gained some PR back and then maybe, just maybe Terrace House wouldn't have been canceled indefinitely... RIP TT__TT
Hey Yuta, can you do a video asking Japanese people to react to Shohei Ohtani highlights? He’s having a breakout year in major-league baseball here in the states, and a seen by some as the second coming of Babe Ruth; a phenom. I know he was pretty famous amongst Japanese baseball fans before he came to America, but it would be interesting to see people’s reactions to the crazy success he is having as both a pitcher and hitter (something that has not been done in the sport successfully in over 100 years!).
@@krin9437 lol any update now? I do the same thing and I think it's been helping, but it's definitely super hard understanding the casual native Japanese in Terrace House
Chikako and taishi are my favorite in terrace house aloha state. But my favorite out of all terrace house season is TSUBASA AND SHION from terrace house 2018. The wholesomeness tho
"Terrace House" got such a huge start because they recruited Rie Kitahara (name's Rie), at that time an active idol at AKB48 and those idols weren't supposed to date and obviously share room with other men. I still remember all the fuzz back then. I think she lasted one season there, I never watched one episode fully but after that I stopped watching it. Kind of surprised it's still running.
The show isn’t running anymore as far as I know. On the most recent season last year, the producers basically caused one of the show members, Hana Kimura, to act in a way that got her cyber bullied so badly that she took her own life. I think the show is effectively canceled now
After what happened with Hana Kimura, I wish Terrace House or any sort of bs television never come back. Wished the TV system with “reality TV” shit gets rectified.
If people go on reality tv shows, they need to be mature enough to know that the internet is a make-believe fairyland and to not care what random losers on the internet say. So what if people criticize you on the internet?
@@sonofsarek i lack of english, but i have to say that you can't make responsible of the person who's suffering cyberbullying, even more considering that the whole production doesn't give any kind of support and force the script to make the person more hateable.
@@sonofsarek Dude she was a 22 year old girl, she was still just a kid. You're talking about a society that has virtually no support for people with mental health issues and high suicide rates. It's also a society that's built on being polite and not showing feelings so the anonymity that the internet provides allows them to be as rotten as they truly want to be.
@@DOVM6336 Um no. She had interest in language and wanted to gtfo of her homeland because of the social expectations placed upon her. She dated a Japanese guy and now dates a White guy. Dating outside your race isn't wrong.
Hey Yuta, I have a question. In the anime Tokyo Manji Revengers, delinquency is shown and I have heard from a few sites online that delinquency was actually a thing in Japan in early 2000s. Can you tell me if it's true or not? Thank you
@@pendragnx some kind of reality show, i think its scripted but last year it lead to the suicide of a wrestler named hana kimura. not sure if its still running though
So with sadness in my heart, I feel the best thing I could do: is end it all and live forever. What's done is done it feels so bad, what once was happy now is sad, I'll never love again my world is ending.
Chikako-san really pretty. But i think you should add english subtitle so we can understand her english better. Her english is pretty good but yeah her accent kinda make it hard to understand some of her words.
Chikako with banana san will forever be in my heart in a good way. My ex in the beginning showed me a song and it's actually very sexual. Very soon she let me know she didn't mean it because english is not her native language. Chikako prob doesn't compute the same way too.
"One person usually has stronger feelings".... really? Where did that perception come from? This is so subjective, there is no way to know that. Even "in general"
I think this interview would have been more interesting and upbeat if you both were speaking your native language(Japanese). Feels hella slow and boring in my humble opinion. just some constructive feedback
