Because of this scene, my older brothers, my cousin and I have been playing this game for years where we sneak up on one another and say “remember that shit from the basement?” And if you get hit, you’re out of the game until the next day🤣 this shit been funny as fuck man
Man them Avirex coats used to be POPPIN back in the late 90's. Had me one of them and one of the bubble First Down joints. Rock them with some jeans and timbs just like in this movie. Damn East Coast had crazy swag back then.
Before Black History Month over I gotta highlight one of the most overlooked unsung heros in our culture. The Barber from belly. My man gave Nas the fresh fade, Heard a shot ran outside, start shooting, saved Nas life, got rid of Nas gun, then ran back inside and kept cutting hair. #Legend
I understand that AZ left quick because he was holding the baby and didn't wanna put him in danger.. but wtf was AZ doing chilling in front of the barbershop with the baby in the first place??? lol
Mr. Golstein Rs he would of turned around n them dudes would of been bustin it was another street way of sayin watch out because in anybody head they would be like why he end convo short than next thing u kno a nigga you n yo ppl got a problem with walk up u kno wassu
@@truegrit9202 spoken like a true dumbass, 1 you don't need a car to live in NYC, 2 people do drive in NY. You shouldn't speak on things you don't know about...
Allegedly Nas did this in real life he just switched the storyline around to avoid incriminating himself but stickup kids tried robbing him outside a barbershop & this happened
@Apostle9590 'felt my leg burn then it got numb, spun around & shot one, heard shots & dropped son, caught a hot one, somebody take this biscuit 'fore the cops come'
I had to come find this scene, we was talking about Belly and I was like, his barber came through with the fresh cut and backup. He owe that man twice. Lmao
Yep, true story. + on Hate Me Now in the third verse he said “Tried stickin' me up, but I flipped on these ducks Instead of me, ambulances were pickin' them up” he’s talking about this incident
Those old car alarms though every time there was a loud noise shit used to go off. I've witnessed one going off because of gunshots before. Thank God they are not like that anymore lol. Added some drama to the scene though lol
Hashytaka Yeah but a few details are different. It happened outside that barbershop like in this scene but in reality it was 2 dudes he didn't know trying to rob him. Nas was unarmed but was able to take a gun from one of them and put a bullet in one of the kids and sent the other one running
RDoubt96 yeah his baby mama Carmen said that in her book then Nas said in a Khaled interview that some parts of belly really happened to him in real life but he can't say which ones
He had a lot of love that the barber comes out and bangs for him and takes both their guns. "ill have niggas ridin' on you in the name of loyal-T" papoose
Alphonso DeVante nah man Nas ain't into street shit he's just a rapper the entire Queensbridge projects say he ain't no thug just a humble good kid. He just rhymes that way cause he's seen people around him live that way watch Tragedy Khadafi's documentary as well as Cormega who am I. Nas is a great rapper but far from that thug shit he's been punked many times and didn't do nothing.
@@mrgolstein Carhartt is expensive as fuq here in Europe. It's known here as a street fashion brand and not as a blue collar worker wear. Only hardcore Skater are eearing this brand but it's definitley not as populair like back in the late 90s-early 00s
