Some wrestling coaches make a couple key mistakes with their wrestlers. Do this one thing to revolutionize your coaching approach and unlock your wrestlers' full potential.
Ben I’m so pumped that you’ve put more time and effort into YT. We appreciate your work and expertise. Please keep sharing here as not all of us want to be on Facebook. Thanks buddy. 🙏🏼
We sent our high school son from Michigan over to Ben and Max’s camp in the summer for camps. Both Ben and Max set great example for the wrestlers. It was the best experience for our son. It’s hard not to be friends for life with these two guys. Great camps, great guys.
I totally agree with this approach! As someone who owns and runs a small private youth sports business offering a variety of sports, including wrestling until a few years ago, having a sound philosophy which emphasizes on long term and athletic Development and and a sound philosophy is key. Too many kids are burning out early in different sports because they are pushed too hard, too early. In fact, when my 2 sons (twins) who were multiple high school state wrestling Champions when in high school were kids, I would get criticized by some of my peers because they didn’t wrestle year round, or didn’t attend any wrestling camps until middle school. I took a strategic approach, and focused on the picture. They played different sports, they had actual off seasons from wrestling, and unless they competed at the USA wrestling kids freestyle/Greco Roman Nationals in early July, they took the entire summer off, and most of the Fall off from wrestling. I believe that programs that have a sound philosophy, will focus on gradual progression, and will push kids harder at the right time, depending on the kids interest level.
My 4th grade son loves wrestling in your program! Max and his team were instrumental in helping him qualify for State this past March, which was his goal for the season.
Ben, I am an older guy who will most likely have to get my hip replaced. I have managed to stay active and on the mat for the last 25 years between BJJ and wrestling. Could you make a video about your experience and recovery from hip surgery? I bet there are more folks like me out there who would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
