@@wahyudyatmika5119 Yeah they've been hinting at it since season 3 using words like the "east wind" and finally revealed her in the last episode of season 4
I didn't realize The Holmes parents showed up in the show and I was even more surprised that Benedict Cumberbatch's actual parents were the actors it's so cool
I think Benedict said in the Sherlock convention that moffat or Gatiss (can't remember) tell him that they planned to introduce Sherlock's parents in season 3 and Benedict said "well, my parents are actors" and the response by Gatiss or Moffat was "I know".
I agree with Watson I mean... They're normal. They doesn't seem like parents who have 3 childrens that are insanely smart. One's a government itself, one's a 'consultan' detective, and one's a psychopath.
His nose is literally a carbon copy of his mom's nose, but the eyes are dad's. Overall I think he mostly resembles his mom. Genetics is an interesting thing 🤔
I was thinking the same!! He simultaneously looks like both of them, but he definitely has his dad's eyes and cheekbone structure, then his mum's nose and Cupid's bow I think. Neither of their mouths are quite the same shape though so that could've come from a previous generation perhaps😅
If you watch the movie Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, there’s a moment where she rolls her eyes in an “oh you idiots” kind of way and I swear I’ve seen him do that exact thing on Sherlock. It’s uncanny and awesome.
The fact that Sherlock rushes his parents out the minute John enters will always he hilarious to me. He even has this sensitive voice on when John enters and puts on his annoyed one to usher his parents out again. It's just overall hilarious to me.
I love that the second their mom catches them smoking Sherlock yeets Mycroft under the bus with the effortless ease of someone who’s done it literally hundreds of times before and possibly every single holiday for most of his life.
brooo i always forget that sherlock has two sweet and normal parents so whenever i remember i’m like aw :) aww :) awwwww :) like the scenes with them are sO CUTE ,,,,,,
This was amazing, but I was hoping for my fav quote: "Behave, Myke." "Mycroft is the name you gave me, if you can possibly struggle your way to the end." Mark's delivery was everything 😂
You know, I love how the parents treat their boys as if they're normal. They're not scared or intimidated by their intelligence, nor do they place them on a pedestal. They just love them, and that's all there is to it. It's really quite touching.
okay I do love them but the way they treat Mycroft in that last scene like brooooo he was just a child and I dont see you trying to keep your daughter in a safe environment (basically Myc is my favourite and I will defend him til the day I die)
Mycroft does his best to protect Sherlock in his own way, since yk he struggles with his own emotional bonds and doesn't know how to cope with them. Parents were possibly never there for Sherlock and Mycroft, and they have the audacity to say that he's limited when it came to Eurus, like legit he's been the one watching over Sherlock (like that scene from The Abominable Bride episode where Mycroft was with a drugged out Sherlock) and at least keeping at eye out on Eurus.
Look up a movie called Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. She’s in it as a villain and at one point she does this eyeroll and smirk that’s EXACTLY BC’s Sherlock.
I don't think there's hate, just resentment. Mycroft has to keep a constant eye on Sherlock and the people he associates with in case he goes off the rails. Sherlock spent his whole life as Mycroft Holmes's not-as-clever-little-brother.
When I watched the Sherlock episode that first shows his parents with my friend, she said: "Wow, the parents are so much better cast than his brother Mycroft! They both actually look like they could be related to him!" XD XD XD She first didn't believe me when I told her that those are his real, actual, honest-to-God parents, it was so funny!
I like how, very subtly, you can see where the Holmes boys get their great powers of observation. Their mother is a brilliant mathematician as evidenced by the book she keeps around. And their father is excellent at reading people, as evidenced by him picking up on John and Mary's strained relationship.
Absolutely hilarious. I love that his face literally could have been predicted by one of those face mash websites from the mid-2000s. He is a perfect cross section of his parents’ features. Good edit, too. Very funny as always😂👍🏽
I remembered being confused/shocked At the end of their first scene because I took Mycroft’s “I’ll be mother” as a sign the Holmes parents had died at some point during Sherock’s childhood and Mycroft was raising Sherlock
Don't they talk about their fights upsetting their Mom in the very first scene they have together? That's how John understands they're brothers if I remember correctly.
A truly therapeutical video. Thank you for all the hard beework. Although sooooo helpful, don't overwork yourself making these videos, little bee. Thanks again.
Its so funny: Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, the sociopath's of England with the highest IQ (just ignore Eurus) that are intimidated by NOTHING and always keep their cool, are afraid of their mother finding out they're Smoking
I don't remember the scene where the parents talk about their third child. Was that a deleted scene? And I totally missed Mummy Holmes thinking that John and Sherlock are a couple lol
@@hbkjn281 It was when Sherlock (tries to) kick out his parents after John comes back to the flat. It was very vague, but it was like a similar reaction from Mrs. Hudson.
