You have saved my life Dr Berg. I was suffering from dysautonomia since march after getting sick with a viral infection. I started having strange symptoms like heart palpitations, POTs, cold feet and hot forehead without fever, cold intolerance, dizziness and anxiety which was turning into panic attacks. I did my own research and found that my symptoms are matching a lot with thiamine deficiency. I started thiamine 500mg along with a b-complex, magnesium and a good quality probiotic and I'm feeling much better. I cannot thank you enough for your life changing content but still a big thanks from my side. :)

You've saved my life Dr Berg. I had a severe B1 deficiency caused by fasting without supplementing electrolytes and vitamins (I'd class myself as very healthy, avid runner and strict keto diet). I knew better, but we all make mistakes sometimes - it was my own fault frankly. Ended up in hospital 2 times where I thought I was going to die, I had severe shakes, huge arrhythmias, chest thumping, swollen feet, the list goes on. Essentially I had Beri Beri - the doctors however told me I had anxiety and sent me home both times. Eventually I fell hopeless and the symptoms continued. I said a little prayer and the next morning I woke up to you posting a video of B1 deficiency and sure as anything, it was that. A week of Benfotiamine and Magnesium (worth mentioning not to take Benfotiamine without taking Mg alongside, at least 400mg) and I was already way back on track. Never comment on these things but I just wanted you to know how much you really do help. Forever in your debt, friend. Thank you.

After listening to Dr Berg, I had my boyfriend start taking this. He is diabetic, alcoholic and has a heart problem. The combination of his bad health and medicine for it, he was so tired he couldn’t function. He was really dragging. I was afraid he was going to die, he was so low in energy. Not even a month, maybe two weeks in, he is a new man. He has the energy to do projects after work and has started woodworking again. I was afraid he was going to have to stop working a month ago! I can’t express how thankful am for the information.

I was showing all the signs of B1 deficiency after starting methotrexate for Rheumatoid arthritis. My Rheumatologist ignored all my concerns (peripheral neuropathy was debilitating) and kept saying all I need is higher dose of methotrexate for aches and pains. I heard that folic acid deficiency impacts absorption of B1 and methotrexate blocks folic acid. Though I was supplementing with folate my symptoms got worse every time I took methotrexate. More over due to wheat allergy I was eating white rice in every meal. No wonder I was deficient. At one point I felt I can’t move my legs to walk and I told my family that it feels like I am about to get paralyzed. I started taking be benfothiamine with other form of B1. Superb video! My daily dose of knowledge 😃👍 Trauma/chronic stress/chronic sympathetic driven state has caused my severe gut problems. Leaky gut, inability to absorb nutrients and severe insulin resistance. This cumulatively has caused debilitating symptoms. I listened to a different video from Dr. Berg and he mentioned cracked heels would respond to benfotiamine. I bought some immediately (I already take alpha lipoic acid) and long story short, in about a month there was a significant improvement. About 4 months now and the cracks are almost gone. Previously I had to keep after them (carefully) with a file because they were so rough but when I say carefully I mean it. If I filed too much and went to deep near a crack it could hurt for days. I am really grateful for this information. My summer feet are finally sandal worthy. As a bonus I think it's helping me fall asleep faster.

I mix it up. I've been on a high dose B1 regimen for 3 months now to great effect. I started with Benfotiamine at 900mg and a liquid B1 with my magnesium before bed. No more "jimmy legs" at night. I then bought a bottle of Thiamax, which is uses Thiamine Tetrahydrofurfuryl Disulfide at only 100mg ( it is more bioavailable so I don't need the super high dose ). I think using ANY form of B1 is gonna help most people. My system has improved greatly since starting this regimen. Best of luck to Team Berg Fans out there.

I got this version of B1 relatively recently and keep forgetting that's fat soluble. I am so used to taking B group vitamins with water at any old time because they're usually water soluble, but with fat soluble vitamins they need some kind of fat or oil to bind to in order to be absorbed properly. I'm glad I saw this video as it acts as a reminder to me to take the Benfotiamine at the same time I take my other fat soluble antioxidants (such as E) which I usually take straight after a meal which has some amount of fat or oil in it. At a pinch you can use full cream milk and chug it down with that. As long as it has some fat to bind to.

This stuff is amazing. Last year I started to have problems with my legs. Couldn't walk very far or fast, they felt really tight, heavy and I would get burning in my thighs. I would feel tired all the time. I was on thiamine for a couple of weeks, then decided to try benfotiamine, which I've taken for maybe 2 weeks. At first I didn't take the whole 300mg, capsule, I tipped some out. For 3 days I've been taking 300mgs in morning. While walking today I noticed my legs felt really good, relaxed, no burning, light and no trouble walking, I also didn't get tired. I'm very happy with the results so far. Apparently, from what I've read, full benefits are reached in 6 weeks, on 600mg. i'll take another 300mg. capsule in afternoons starting Monday. In tests on my legs, nothing really showed up, and I didn't think it would, my trust in doctors is nil. It seems it was nerve damage. Amazing. I will have to watch the video again. Thanks to the you tube doctors who don't believe in drugs for every ache and pain.

Best advice is don't take it if you're not getting any of the symptoms. If symptoms don't improve, stop taking it. This is an antioxidant that comes with its drawbacks, specifically that oxidative stress is a requirement for building muscle, and oxidation is a requirement for muscle healing and energy recovery. There is a reason why people who take powerful antioxidants such as "resveratrol" report a significant decrease in performance and recovery. Even with supplements such as Vitamin C that showed a decrease in performance, recovery, and muscle gained in those taking Vit C vs. those that aren't. Unless you have an imbalance or deficiancy, then dont take it.

YES, PLEASE. Majority of supplements I can’t take, because they end up bogging up my (right) kidney/liver - to where I get immense edema (only really in my ankles; though, I do get a bit puffy in my hands and under my eyes, also). I just had to stop taking a B12 supplement, even though I am severely deficient due to having most of my stomach removed - because it started causing edema. Hell, I just bought Dr. Berg’s brand of liquor Vit. D and had to stop taking it, because of the edema. Also, after a time, I start to develop pain in my right side - sometimes from my liver, sometimes from my kidneys. Which, then causes the tinnitus to get worse, in my right ear (as I lost some hearing due to kidney damage/oxycodone Rx). I do my best to eat beef everyday, to help - as a beef/some dairy/some fruit/coconut water based diet is what I feel best on. It seems that even though I was told it is necessary to supplement, after having bariatric surgery, due to all the health issues I have had, as result of other medical interventions due to surgical and post-surgical complications - diet is the only real successful way I can get the nutrients I require. I definitely understand your struggle, for sure - and I can imagine it’s much more difficult, because of the type 1 diabetes. My prayers are with you.

If supplements are taken right, you would only need them to recover the damage made by a disease. After that, you may be better off the supplements. I mean, literally feel better without them. But one never knows, so is worth experimenting to find the right personal balance. It may take up to a few years to recover. If one has an incurable incident disease (like T1DM), he is required to always supplement with some stuff. In case of T1DM, it is insulin. Also B1, because many people with T1DM develop a parallel insulin resistance that eventually leads to T2DM. And people with both T1DM and T2DM feel terrible! So, if the situation is left unmanaged, it may significantly hinder the quality of life.

I have radicular neuropathy due to a spinal injury and now I have hypothyroidism and psoriatic arthritis. My average pain level is an 8. I pray for a 7 day! I take so many supplements to try to mitigate damage.

Could it be arachnoiditis? Did you rule it out?

@@ThePallidor Yes, it did nothing to help. The thyroid issue is probably a pituitary problem.

@@DinaraBakirova-um9zd I know I have spinal arthritis, I broke L5 and was born with double hip dysplasia. At this point, nothing fazes me. I am going to ask my doc about the arachno. Thank you🫶🏼
