Picked this model up recently, it's superb. I am the typical use case of movie buff too so it suits me perfectly - I'd been tempted by xgimi horizon pro but the colour accuracy and 24p on the benq were worth the extra. I haven't tried gaming on it yet but I'm looking forward to it.
I've always been curious about something - what do you do with all the projectors you review? Do you have to send them back, or do you have some sort of giant storage cupboard crammed, floor-to-ceiling with projectors in boxes like some sort of insanely niche Tetris skin?
Tip: if you use the standard QS02 Android stick you cannot get Dolby Atmos, even with an E-Arc audiosystem and compatible 2.1 hdmi cable. It only supports previous Dolby Sound formats uptill ARC capable systems and 2.0 cables. To get Atmos you need to have a better Chromecast or stick. I use the most recent Chromecast on the back-end of the projector!

BenQ W2710i vs Xgimi horizon ultra. What do you prefer in: 1 - black level, 2 - sharpness, 3 - 3D Feature, 4 - colour settings, 5 - no high noise volume and 6 - without rainbow effects? Greetings.
Tip: for those with a clicking noise thinking it is a defect color wheel;The extremely loud clicking noise while watching movies or using the projector is the Dynamic Iris. If you shut it off the sound disappears. So that function which should make a difference in extreme contrasts is in my opinion not usable. @allthingstech do you noticed this as well? About the projector: it is beyond spectacular image wise. I have no regrets at all spending €1.800 for this unit. It got some really small things which could bother a person who tends to be a little autistic or is a perfectionist.. But for this price point using it for gaming as well as movies it's amazing🎉
Thanks for the tip. I too got the clicking noises and also noise like an old hard disk being read. But that dissapeared with the Dynamic Iris set to off. Strange that it emits that much noise
Hi please give me a response, I am planning to buy this but however already have a good experience with Epson LCD projector .and worried to buy This BenQ projector because of picture quality and rainbow effect caused by DLP projectors like BenQ,. and in other side Epson projectors known as Pro UHD which only has 4 million pixels even with a 4K resolution still lacks of pixels compare to this BenQ model who have 8 million pixels, is it mean this BenQ model is real 4k and superior ? and Epson tw 6150 is not ? Which one I should choose ? Thanks
I have this projector. It much sharper than the epson literally twice as sharp so the picture is much better and the colours are amazing and I see no rainbow effect. This is definitely a better than any Epson at this price point. Don't miss out! BenQ wins everytime
