I went at it like a bulldog, 20years on4mg lorazepam and adderal. Cried every morning, broke my heart open to meditate deeply,worked my way up to 40 minutes deeply in heart mind silence. Then in flow state until late night, then insomnia. Wash rinse repeat. Been off adderal over a year. Can't open my heart now, devastating, heavy depression. Before his i knucked down, did wim hoff breathing, lots of walking, so much i just couldn't do it any more. Decided to white knuckle it. Got down to 1.5 back up to 2 now. I'm 79 years old, my world has gotten smaller and smaller. Where shall i draw motivation from? My dream come, for the doc to answer this post.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hi David… thanks for the work you do within the ‘Benzo Community’… 👍🏻 Just wondering though… were you on the internet forums (and later the FB support groups) at the same time’ish as I was during my ‘BWS’ journey? May of 2010 - July of 2013 ‘Got To Beat This’ on Benzobuddies etc.

Dave - I’ve read that rumination is one of the symptoms of benzo wd.
@PowersBenzoCoaching
@PowersBenzoCoaching Год назад
It is, but it is also a symptom of many other disorders, which can create other disorders, which begins usually as a learned thing. I.e., our mother or grandmother, etc., were worriers and ruminated

Dave- can you post the link for the Rumination Log? ALSO, I ruminate all day. I consider searching online for answers as rumination. I basically think about benzo wd every second of my day, including as soon as I wake up. And I’m sure it’s because my brain has been wired to do this for about 5 years now. I’m still tapering, by the way. It took me 3 years to get off K & now I’m working on tapering off V, The only time I don’t ruminate is if I’m watching a really good show (that doesn’t trigger me) or visiting with close friends or family - although if I feel my heart rate getting high, I will start ruminating.

I can't. It's not uploaded anywhere. But I seen Lisa did post it on the benzo warriors forum...

Can’t insomnia be due to issues with cortisol?
@PowersBenzoCoaching
@PowersBenzoCoaching Год назад
Yes, it can begin with 1000 different triggers... but pure insomnia, once it's about fear of not sleep... is its own unique disorder.

@@garysimone4977 Keep strong my friend. Keep lulling and pushing back against these symptoms. And consider hitting up Coach Daniel's sleep program. Did you happen to catch me on his podcast? I had a great talk about benzos.

Wish I could recover like Dave. 26 months and almost all symptoms gone except insomnia, tinnitus, and some annoying muscle and nerve issues. Insomnia is the worst of my symptoms. The inability to get any restful sleep is horrible. I usually wake up in the morning feeling like I didn’t sleep at all.

I started taking psychiatric medications 30 years ago. I took different medications at the hands of a doctor, and in the last twenty years I constantly took a Zoloft 50 mg pill with a benzo medication, which is lixomil 6 mg, (bromazepame)half a pill in the morning and half a pill in the evening. I am now 55 years old. How can I make a plan to get rid of them?

Slowly Slowly Slowly, but steady. You have to cross this tunnel by yourself till there comes Light at the end. Do not do desperate things. Greetings from the Netherlands
