I have that same rod. Paired with a piscifun honor xt 2000 reel. Absolutely awesom combo. It was my favorite crappie rod. I just had my hatch in my boat close and snap the tip off. I will be buying another. Because when that happens to a $35 rod I am annoyed, but when it happens to a $120 St. Croix rod I am ready to loose my mind.
One time I was in my yak in this pond sitting in the lily pads I hear something hit the side of my yak and it was a huge snapping turtle like the one in the video I was like don't come in don't bite my yak!! LOL!! Thanks for watching.... next video will be awesome stay tuned!

Thanks I ordered it directly off Berkley on amazon this is a 2pc version but they also make it in one piece if you want it. you can find them at a lot of shops.
I got a question... I have the exact same rod as you do in the video and I bought mine today. However whe. You pull apart the 2 piece does it have a Nub in the center connecting the two pieces so it won't disconnect or does it have just 2 holes to fit it together. Sorry I hope you understand. I never had a rod like this so I just want to know if it's missing something. Thanks.
Hi i think I understand what your asking, I checked both mine and the handle side of the rod when you pull the top section off and look at the end of the handle side ware the rod is cut there is like some sponge like little rubber plug stuffed down in the rod end. Hope this helps
@@michaelhebert8984 Hi it's not on the outside of the rod like a wrap like how the guides hold on the rod is smooth outside with nothing on the bottom part and the top just slides on.. the little rubber thing I am speaking of is pushed down inside the end of the lower rods cut tip that slides into the top section.
