Very impressive, looked like a great race, big pack too! There was no live stream again this year which seems crazy. Very thankful that you shared your race
Molaría escuchar un poco del ambiente que se vive en eoss momentos, la verdad que en algunos puntos llega a marear y desentona con la experiencia vivida. Por lo demás, carrerón de gran nivel a velocidad de vértigo por lo que se ve en pantalla.
I know the answer comes late, but I just found this video. When skating in such a big pack it sometimes behaves like a snake. Front is fast - wide spaces between skaters. Front is slow (due to headwind or uphill) - the fast skaters in the back start to come closer and closer. To keep at least minimum distance to the guy in front of you, you put your hand slightly above the ass on the lower back. You have skaters that brake by themselves and just touch you gently for you to know there is someone close. I personally witnessed skaters using me as brakedevice. Pushing very hard. That can lead to crashes and I really don't like that. Edit: And I recommend being very gently or avoiding this when having female skaters in front. At least someone should excuse himself when that happens (includes that strong pushing mentioned above) .
Main thing...we don’t have breaks like cyclists, so we use the hand to stop and push the one in front, so we don’t loose speed. Became a chain where you push , the other pushes and the front gets faster
