Darn....now I want a an echo foot AND the cutwork tool for my 570QE. Other than cutting out multiple appliques, what other designs can you use the cutwork tool for ? Also, the stipple stitch you used on the multi-leafed flower, is that a preset stitch pattern? And is that stitch available on the 570QE? Would be great for blocks and doing QAYG technique.
Ye, the cutwork tool will work on the B 570 with embroidery. You will either need to purchase the DesignWork CutWork Suite or BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 to make the most of it. The embroidery design was an imported multi-directional stitch that was n the B 790 Plus I was using.
Yes!, The B 830 LE can take the cutwork tool and foot, just make sure when you are in the embroidery mode to tell your machine that you are using the #44C. That way the larger foot will not accidentally break on the edge of the hoop since the #44C on the machine during embroidery shrinks your embroidery field.
I always put my feed dogs down for Free motion quilting. On the B 880 PLUS machine that I’m using, when I chose the #44C foot the machine automatically drops the feed dogs.
No. This foot can be used for many quilting applications including wide zigzag free motion and double needle. The cutwork tool is only to be used with the embroidery module.
