@Joel Osteen You're sad bro. The DG community doesn't need your attitude. Bert said he played with her, if you can't believe that then that's pretty sad ngl.
@Saner Dummy, Bert mentioned her several times in the video as well as her being in the video clip they showed. Paige is the Best female disc golfer on the planet. Not everyone is a liar.
Colorado represent! quick story the first time i ever played random draw doubles i drew eagle mcmahon as my partner up at bear mtn dgc visit CO and play the courses the pros are playing Bailey dgc in June plus so many other amazing pay to play courses around conifer and pine colorado and the ski areas in the summer
Does he love it though? Seems like he was laughing at it & feigning interest which is a shame because he probably would love it if he actually gave it a shot
I am starting up my own disc golf store in Georgia soon. A video like this will help me show the landlord how popular disc golf is becoming, so thank you Bart Kriscnier.
there was a disc golf store near Alexander Park, but its not there anymore. It was convenient whenever you need something real quick you forgot. Sucks it isn't there anymore.
Disc golf is the one activity that I can get my cousin outside to do. He's a little bigger and has had weight issues for a while. Finding something that's so fun, and also keeps you so active is amazing.
I love playing disc golf, but what I love more is the disc golf community. If you lose a disc and put your name and number on it, most people will help return it to you. I've made so many friends through disc golf, It's awesome. Someone even stole my bag out of my car a few months ago, and so many people gave me a disc out of their bag and I have a great set again.
Started disc golf during Covid. Picked up the forehand last year and now that’s my primary throw. Was my first time going to the disc golf course by myself last weekend. I had a grand time and ended up joining a group of really cool people. Love disc golf!
Awesome for you! I've played for 45 years - you wouldn't believe the early discs. I still play with friends, my sons, or just myself. Always a great time. Comeraderie when with others and meditation when you're by yourself. Just be careful as a woman playing solo - bring some pepper spray with you. Not everyone in the woods is a good person.
This is incredible! I love this sport! I've met some of the coolest people through local leagues and courses. You could feel his excitement and enthusiasm towards the sport. I would love to play a round with Bert and Joe. What a great ambassador to our sport, thanks Bert 👏

The boys were playing disc golf in the early 90s in Muscle Shoals, AL. It was a whole day of full coolers, bowls, sunshine, shady trees and happy hearts. RIP Sam Held, Keith Held, Ashley Laine Hannah and Bradley Adams. Some good memories.
My uncle started the disc golf league for St. Louis areas over 20 years ago and it's really cool to see it blowing up and all the different types of people that have started doing it!
49 years old and my oldest son got me into it when the covid lock down was kicking off. Now I play weekly and have a basket in my yard. You would never know how technical disc golf is until you try. Then you play with those who have skills and you see the difference. Played 3 times this week now that the weather is better. There are definitely levels to this sport, but no one really judges anyone and are typically willing to always help if help is wanted.
This is amazing! Been disc golfing for 10 years and to see this makes me so happy to see and hear, this sport needs and deserves this recognition! #letsgo !! ❤️
Disc golf is so damn fun. I went for it hook, line, and sinker when the pandemic broke out and still play it to this day. And most places don’t charge to play since a large swath of them are in city parks. If they do charge, it’s like $4 for a whole day. If you have even a sprinkle of an addictive personality, you will love disc golf!
So nice to see Bert's enthusiasm about disc golf, it pretty much sums up every disc golfer's energy about the sport! So nice to see this on Joe's podcast too. If you're thinking about trying it, don't hesitate! It can be hard at first, but the community is the absolute best and it's like doing something fun while hiking. There's also a ton of room for growth and mastery, while also having room to play the game in the way that suits you best. It's cheap to get started and play too, and it's been gaining a lot of popularity, which means there's more money to earn for those that might want to play competitively.
Bert Kreischer Thank You for talking about DG. I have been playing for around 6 years, this reminds me of the first time that you get hooked on the flight. Bert will not stop playing now...might want to take it easy on playing a bunch if you still want that beer belly for your stand up, you know the stuff that pays the bills! :D Paul Mcbeth would be my pick for first player on the channel. He already has a foundation planting courses in parts of the world that do not have them. He has to be one of the best ambassadors of the sport and is an absolute favorite to win any time he is signed up to play. Please do the PRO/AM Bert, that would be amazing! Plus that would be the biggest purse by a mile for the actual event. This is awesome!
@@yeabuddy6070 I used to think like that too but it’s inevitably going to grow. Even 10 years ago courses were packed if you got out after 11-12 on a nice day. I’ve always gotten out early, so it’s not too big of an issue for me.
Disc golf is highly underrated.. this is awesome! And maybe not underrated so much now... But 15 years ago, it was barely heard of. Love the success and attraction it's gained. Getting in the woods with the family or friends or both and just throwing some discs at baskets. You wouldn't believe how much fun it is if you've never played
Meh.. not so much but if that's your opinion on it, so be it. However, even throwing a frisbee around and playing catch, or playing catch with a football or baseball, that's fun as fuck still. So what if it's just "throwing a frisbee around" lol
Disc Golf is amazing, I played every sport my whole life. Wish I got into disc golf when I was a teenager.. I've been playing only 2 years now and I'm addicted. It's sooooo fun to watch also.

Disc golf is the answer to all life's problems. This sport has the ability to bring world peace. Glad it found its way into a conversation on Joe's podcast, thanks Bert.

Ben’s tourney is a pro/am Bert would be perfect for it. Disc golfers walking on cloud 9 today, this the biggest exposure possible!!! Thank you Bert n Joe!
Literally my buddy took me out once to play during the pandemic, I've played just about everyday since. it's very addicting especially if you have some nice courses around and it's usually free!
I picked it up last year believing that my extensive Frisbee throwing would help me. You quickly learn that you must unlearn how to throw a Frisbee, and learn how to throw a disc. Love it.
I think disc golf got a lot more popular during COVID. My friends and I got into it at the beginning of 2020 because it was one of the few things we could get out and do during the lockdowns.
I played BALL golf for 40+ years at least 2-3x a week. About 7 years ago I was introduced to DISC golf. My golf clubs are now covered in dust as I am now completely, 100% obsessed with EVERYTHING disc golf…
Hell yeah, I've wanted some disc golf on the JRE forever! It'd be amazing if a top player like McBeth/Simon/ Ricky could guest on the podcast! Maybe McBeth + Askren together? The disc golf explosion booms on
I love the JomezPro channel - I was a 20/month Patreon supporter for a while. The sport is amazing, and I can’t wait for my daughters to be old enough to play with me.
paul is so funny him and bert would make people laugh so hard they cry ... well the whole Jomez team.. I cant watch anything else ... the rest of the coverage is boring!!!
Been playing for 10+ years and I'm still getting better every time I go. I became obsessed last year went from small bag to grip bag. 15 discs to 60+. I just can't get enough of it. Excited to bring the kids when they are older.
@@EcksLacks And you're a douchbag starting internet fights. You cannot stand that someone is so passionate about something. So you must find a reason to drag them down to your pathetic level. I think I'd rather be an adult frisbee hucker lol
Dude you don’t even know how much the disc golf world is geeking out about hearing you play. Anytime we can get recognition it feels like we hit the lottery.
So glad to get the exposure. You’re are 100% correct that it’s very fun and addictive. As a husky guy, it helps me stay in shape. Keep throwing and growing the sport!
My buddy is HUGE into disc golf now and I have to say listening to him talk about how great the community around it is and how non-intrusive it is to the natural environment and relatively cheap it is to get into, I'm really impressed. Basically take all the fun and comradery of golf but remove the enormous cost barrier to entry, the reliance and maintenance a course requires (disc golf "courses" simply use natural landscapes in forests AND are basically hiking trails with goals) and some of the pretentiousness surrounding golf and you have disc golf.
Nothing compared to ball golf courses. Water, labor, chemicals, and $ just to maintain the greens is insane. Part of why elitist ball golf is dying and disc golf is exploding.
you didnt mention the big one which is the the interesting variety of shot shapes a frisbee can provide. it makes balls golf look really boring in comparison.
I’ve been playing disc golf for 15 years and I’m 63 years old. My son got me started on it and I’m an addict. I live in the DFW area we have lot of courses. Since most disc golf courses are natural terrain it makes every single disc golf course unique.
I would love to see more stuff like this. Every person I’ve ever brought out with me for the first time had virtually the same reaction joe did until they played. I have gotten over a dozen people massively into disc golf just from taking them with me once. Welcome to the group Bert!
I love seeing Disc golf finally getting some props .. People have no idea that the money is real now , Top players making millions and its just getting started
Hell yeah. RU-vid bots are the worst, especially the ones that have fake convos about Bitcoin. But yeah, crazy that disc golf is just finally blowing up now
Disc golf is a great thing to do on long road trips too. Easy to throw a bag full of discs in the car and research places to play along the way. Breaks up the drive, you get a good walk and some fresh air.
Disc Golf players are some of the best people you will ever meet. Let's goo Joe I wanna see him go thru the learning process it would be a cool journey
Love disc golf because it is chill and totally open to anyone who can walk a course and throw a disc. The community is super nice and it is affordable.
If only I'd known about this sport as a kid! Been playing 10 years now but I'm 41 and to be able to throw it like the pros do you need serious "major league pitcher" type of arm talent .
Love Disc Golf! Love Bert & Joe! The sport was going through a good growth spurt after 2010. Then the Pandemic hit. Most indoor sports, gyms, weight rooms, bowling allies, etc. and even golf ball courses (clubhouses) were closed. So people looked for an alternative activity/sport to do outside. Most disc golf courses are set in public parks and are FREE. Discs Golf has no dress code. No greens fees unless it is a "pay" course. No tee times. Cheap to get into the sport... most discs are under $20. Three disc starter packs can be found for $40 and under. Due to the Pandemic and these low barriers to entry the sport has absolutely exploded. Joe... this sport is VERY addictive. Just look into Bert's eyes when he starts to talk about it. That's how addictive it is. Lots of Fun with Lots of good people and professionals who are very willing to share their time and knowledge with you. Brody Smith is based in Dallas. He was an Ultimate Disc player who now plays Disc Golf and has his own RU-vid channel. You should invite him for an interview some time, he is very outgoing. Also try and book Simon Lizotte. This man can absolutely crush a disc (he can throw over 700 feet) and also has his own RU-vid channel. Simon can teach you quite a few things about DG. Finally Bert's idea of hosting a MILLION DOLLAR EVENT in Hawaii would instantly become the "SuperBowl" of Disc Golf. It would easily be the top showcase of the sport. One of the best ideas I have heard to grow the sport of disc golf. Bert... whatever you do... take Joe out and get him hooked. There is the FLYING ARMADILLO course near San Marcos (close to Austin) that you can easily take Joe out to and "pop his cherry". HAVE FUN and reach out if you are ever in Albuquerque and we can play some DG. And feel free to contact me if you have any questions... been playing DG since '92.
Oh man this takes me back to the mid 90s. I used to work the graveyard shift at Sams Club in Austin and my coworker John and I would get off at 5 AM and play. First we would go to his place and his girlfriend would make us like homamade biscuits and gravy with all the fixins. Then we would decide which course to go play at, pack the beer, and roll a couple of joints. At that time in the morning, no one would be on the course. There used to be great courses too.....Barthalamew, Southpark Meadows before it was stripmallsized, and even Zilker. Any sport one can get a good buzz at while playing is awesome.
Zilker park is awesome! Only place I've ever hit someone with a disc, but the older gentleman was super cool about it. Then asked if I wanted in on this joint he was about to light up. We became fast friends haha.
Love how excited Bert is about it! I don't know wtf the sport is but watching videos now espeically given I live in rural WI and land/woods is abundant
Disc golf is amazing, supports nature with little impact, and the DG community is probably the most wholesome of any sport or ideology. If you enjoy sports, DG is for you. If you enjoy nature, DG is for you. If you enjoy hiking, DG is for you. If you enjoy math and carving insane lines through trees, finding that perfect angle of passage, DG is for you. If you are looking for a low stress workout in a casual or competitive setting, DG is for you. I throw LH and RH (learned LH after a pitching injury I never got fixed) and to step up to a tee box with 20+ different shot types I can take is exciting!
Yep, disc golf has been my passion since the pandemic hit in 2020. I played a little as a youngsta int he late 90's but it never struck me the way it did when I picked it back up. Truly a game of skill and technique over raw power. So much fun, and the disc golf community is often the coolest bunch of assholes you'll ever meet.
