Exactly what I was looking for, thank you very much, very, very, very much appreciated. I had to make a choice between these various OSD applications or scripts. With this comparison, you have just enlightened me regarding my final decision. Unfortunately they all have one common flaw, the display screen does not change screens to follow the mouse. For those apps which work based on AutoHotkey, I think it would be possible to add a code allowing the display to follow the mouse when it changes screen.
@The Pragmatic That is a use case that I did not consider. Indeed Carnac and KeyPres s don' t do what you want (I uninstalled the others). However, KeyPress OSD does have something similar to what you want already built in (change the position of the osd between 2 locations). Shortcut is Ctrl-Shift-Alt-F9, BUT it only switches the position on the active/main monitor which I don't know where it's done in the AHK code or how the screen size is obtained. On a positive note I have found that KeyPress OSD does EXACTLY what you want with a _caveat_ read below. STEPS: - right click the Tray icon to open the menu - in the OSD preferences set position A to your main on screen position and hit apply - now open OSD prefs again, select position B and just make sure you can see it on the screen and click apply - right click on the tray icon and enable Allow OSD drag - type something or double click so the OSD shows up - drag the OSD to a secondary monitor anywhere you want This works until you close the program. Why? I don't know! So you'd have to do it every time you run it. What that drag osd does though is it can set a negative value for position B or A (I have a secondary monitor on the left so I needed -X). The thing is you can't input negative values, at least with the KeyPress version that I have (v4.35), so once you hit apply the values reset. Also if you have more monitors you can _simply_ make copies of the AHK file in the same folder, then open all AHK scripts, and drag the OSDs where you want them to be. But again you'd have to do this each time you want to use it AND the OSDs would be always visible.. unless you'd find and easy way to hide each individual KeyPress instance.

@@thepragmatic6383 neither did I when I made the video so it's a win/win situation :) I got in contact with the author and supposedly this is fixed in a newer version, however that version is only available on keypressosd.com and is $13 at the time of writing (you also get lifetime license with free upgrades if you buy from their website). There is also a 5 day trial but for some reason my trial expired so I can't test it.
Thank you @stefanguiton In case you need a different mouse clicker/highlighter you can check out PowerToys for windows. It comes with a lot more utilities than just mouse OSD though and I go over my top 10 utilities list here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uc30ZFgSAcM.html I have just changed my set-up so I use the KeyPress OSD for keyboard display (using the .exe file that you get on github so no need for autohotkey), for mouse clicks and highlight I use PowerToys as I have quick access to keyboard accents like ä, ü, ë, °C, ß etc. which I previously had to check online or I had to switch the keyboard layout to a more familiar one. But now I just press a letter (hold it) and press left/right arrow keys to select the accented letter I need.
That is strange and I don't know what the reason for that would be. I'm just guessing that it requires some kind of dependencies that you do not have installed (like .net, java, or something similar), but in that case I would imagine for that to be mentioned in the message. What happens if you search for the same file when using the pop-op window you get?
