@@pulpyfiction22 I agree. Polite Society was in my 3 spot for April. 1. Air 2. Super Mario 3. Polite Society 4. Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. 5. Tetris 6. Another amazing tier list! Your tier lists are always so fun. Here’s my ranking from my favourite to least favourite that I watched in April: 1: Evil Dead Rise (very good movie and in my opinion it’s actually one of my top favourite movies of this year so far, tied with Scream 6 since I really enjoyed Scream 6 too) 2: The Super Mario Bros Movie (I grew up with the Mario games so this beautiful movie meant a lot to me. It was so good) 3: Renfield (very fun and enjoyable movie, Nicolas Cage played Dracula perfectly) 4: The Pope’s Exorcist (this movie was alright. Not bad but not amazing) 5: Peter Pan and Wendy (definitely my least favourite of April. Now it wasn’t terrible and I’ve seen worse, but it wasn’t too good. It was watchable though and it looked stunning with the scenery)
Mario will always have a special place in my heart and always will be my favorite character of all time! The movie was brilliant and amazing! My favorite parts were bowser’s song and Mario and Luigi’s relationship as brothers 😊🥰❤️
@@AustinBurke This year has been low-key pretty 🔥 so far. Movies with very little hype have turned out surprisingly great (Margaret, Covenant, D&D) and some that looked pretty mid have actually been above-average (Plane and M3GAN.)
@@Cash42 She was decent. But Iman Vellani plays a similar fan girl type in Ms Marvel and found her to be more funny and endearing. Maybe one is a movie and one is a TV show?
@@brianng8350 I mean they’re still going for different things though. I think Iman’s performance was honestly equally as endearing as Priya, but the script doesnt give her as much to work with in terms of funny, so I thought her performance was really great. I think without her in that role, the movie doesn’t really work bc so much is grounded in her relationship & chemistry with Ritu Arya, who was also really good in this.
His ranking: 15) Quasi 14) Paint 13) Ghosted 12) The Pope's Exorcist 11) Renfield 10) Peter Pan & Wendy 09) Beau is Afraid 08) The Super Mario Bros Movie 07) The Last Kingdom: The Seven Kings Must Die 06) Sisu 05) Are You There God? Why? They can just jump to the end to see the ranking than search for your transcript. People should want to hear the reasoning for the ranking- the pros and cons of each movie.
My ranking Saw 4 movies in April 4.Dungeons and dragons 7/10 3. Super Mario movie loved film 9/10 2. Air 10/10 Huge sports fan and this movie is very fascinating to know even more about the Jordan brand. 1. Are you there God it's me Margaret 10/10 This is movie was right up my alley and really showcases the true struggle of a human wanting grow up fast at a young age and very relateable. Read the book and Film pretty Faithful to the book.
Here’s my list: Awesome: Beau Is Afraid Great: AIR Good: Polite Society, Evil Dead Rise, SiSu Okay: Super Mario Bros., Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Renfield Meh: The Pope’s Exorcist Bad: 65 (not a new release, but I just watched it) Awful: I really wanted to go see the Owen Wilson movie, sad to hear it wasn’t that great lol. I Cant wait to go see Are you there god? it’s me, Margaret. I’ve heard this is an adaptation from a very famous book, i don’t know much about it, but It looks very good. Beau is afraid is so good lol How dare you put it in the Beau tier lol that tier must remain there for the next tier list 😂
Here’s all the ones I watched in theaters in April, ranked: 13. Sweetwater (I don’t think this movie will be topped for ‘worst of the year’) 12. His Only Son (I love the story and can appreciate shooting on a small budget but honestly this movie just wasn’t very good) 11. Renfield (rolled my eyes at the entire film) 10. Sisu (again, rolled my eyes) 9. Malum (this movie aggravates me because I actually liked some of the horror elements but the story itself along with the character performances and the writing were all very weak) 8. Evil Dead Rise (maybe the best version of this type of movie, I just don’t like this type of horror movie very much) 7. Paint (my guilty pleasure for the month, it’s not great by any means but I actually really enjoyed it) 6. Polite Society (not nearly quite as well executed as I thought it might be, but definitely a lot of fun, like Sean says!) 5. Enys Men (the best made movie of the year outside of HTBUAP and a thousand and one and probably the most interesting - I still don’t know what it was about though) 4. Air (wasn’t really that excited for this movie but the writing and performances were great! Probably the funniest movie of the year for me so far) 3. Beau is Afraid (not sure I liked it all that much at first but the more I think about it, the more I think this movie is truly great) 2. Are you there God? It’s me Margaret (this made me uncomfortable at parts as a college aged male in a theater packed with women, but thought this movie was great and is maybe the first movie this year to make me cry - in multiple scenes, such a sweet and thought provoking movie) 1. How to Blow Up a Pipeline (this movie was incredible, I don’t even normally like heist movies all that much but loved each of the character arcs and loved watching it al come together) Evil Dead Rise and up were all enjoyable for me, but Enys Men and up were the ones I consider really good
My Ranking: 07) Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 06) Ghosted 05) Peter Pan & Wendy 04) The Super Mario Bros Movie 03) Are You There God? Its Me, Margaret 02) Renfield 01) Air
I liked suzume so much, i watched yesterday, and its great, i watched evil dead last week and it was good but a little bit disspointed tbh.. first half great and then kinda predictable and it was little bit to much, like over the top lol but i enjoy it, just not as much like suzume
I think Are you there God should be up there with Air and The Covenant - nearly perfect for what they set out to do. Suzume is pretty but issues with the story. Evil Dead is fun, but thin on story - unlikely to rewatch in my opinion. Polite Society and Mafia Mamma are meh movie. The concepts are good, but that is about it. They are okay fun, but forgetful movies similar to Pope’s Exorcist.
I just watched Renfield last night since it dropped on digital streamings with few other movies in your tiers. I thought Renfield was fun and good time. Cage killed it as Dracula. Story nothing very special. I would just say another dumb-fun.
11. Peter Pan and Wendy C 7/10 10. Super Mario Bros movie B- 8/10 09. Quasi B- 8/10 08. Chevalier B+ 8/10 07. Polite Society A- 9/10 06. Renfeld A- 9/10 05. Somewhere in Queens A- 9/10 04. @@brianng8350 thats why one is barley a A- and one is a A. Renfeld was on verge of B+ but I went with my new girlfriend on my first date ever. So I'm a little bias.
I love how people keep blaming "review bombing" for Peter Pans low scores but then in the next breath they say it's not a good movie lol. It's scores are low because it's bad plain and simple. They made Peter Pan worthless in his own movie.
There is a HUGE difference in giving something a 1/10 and a 4/10 or 5/10. Look at those ratings in that picture and your half of your brain… You can probably come to the conclusion that the score is THAT low because of the very clear and evident bombing. Think.
@@AustinBurkeYou are right, there was definitely review bombing happening but it's because audiences are fed up. If they want to change stories to make them progressive then at least make the effort to make them good. They stripped away everything that made the characters interesting and replaced it with nothing. The end result is a gloomy boring movie.
The bombing happened before the movie came out, so I genuinely don’t give any credibility to any of it… Fed up or not, that’s not how you do it. That’s actually the opposite of how you do it. Nothing will happen if they keep making themselves look stupid.
No pun against this great video and channel but it really is the most hilarious thing throughout the whole Mario ordeal to see literally every critic go from “this film is shit” to “it’s not that bad” once it became one of the most successful film of all time. The human mind is one massive whore.
Nahhh, let people have their opinions. I haven’t heard one person feel that way. Who gives a shit how much money it made. That doesn’t influence anything. Dungeons and Dragons bombed, and that movie rocked. The Fast and Furious movies make all kinds of money, and those movies suck.
@@AustinBurke noted! Oh I agree that money shouldn’t matter but many of those reviews (not yours) changed so radically following the first and second week it’s just hilarious.

Prom Pact (2023) 1/10
wow you watched more films than me this month (and I thought I watched quite a bit with 13). Good on you daring to put the Justice League RWBY crossover 8/10. I didn't quite get there with a 6.5/7 for me. Is Ghosted actually that bad. I had fun with The Gray Man which also features both Chris Evans and Ana De Armas.
