52. Transformers: Age of Extinction-A movie that combines all of Michael Bay’s worst elements with a ridiculously long runtime, making for a very exhausting movie to get through 51. Minions-Because the minions aren’t meant to be main characters to support a story and themes, this is just a very unenaging and boring watch 50. Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi-While a lot of people love this movie, this is the Star Wars film that genuinely steps on my toes the most and the one I would want to rewatch the least 49. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey-When a short book is converted into an epic trilogy of films, you completely lose what makes the book special, making this a pretty tedious movie 48. Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker-While The Last Jedi is a better made movie, I find this movie to be more watchable, even though it’s a very bad conclusion to this saga 47. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides-A complete and total misfire from this franchise that lacks an interesting adventure, interesting characters, and interesting action sequences 46. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom-I know you know conflict in one of these movies, but did they really have to choose a story where the dinosaurs go extinct again? 45. Alice in Wonderland 2010-A lifeless remake that treats this story as something that it’s definitely not 44. Captain Marvel-There’s some entertainment with seeing a young Nick Fury, but that’s about as much as far of the enjoyment of this movie goes 43. Jurassic World: Dominion-While there was some fun to be had, the movie wasted its basic premise, put in a bunch of cheap jokes, and didn’t do enough service to the legacy characters 42. The Lion King 2019-It’s certainly a technological achievement, but there’s absolutely no reason to ever rewatch it 41. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace-A movie that’s a couple of changes away from being very good, even if those are some pretty big changes As a point of reference, I would go positive on the rest of these movies 40. Beauty and the Beast 2017-It’s enjoyable to watch this movie one time, but it doesn’t provide a whole lot after that first watch 39. Finding Dory-It’s fine, but if I want to watch this kind of movie, I’ll just going to rewatch Finding Nemo again 38. Spider-Man: Far From Home-A movie that has a lot of entertainment value, but fumbles in the story department 37. The Fate of the Furious-There’s a Paul Walker sized hole in the center of it, but I still find all of the absurd action sequences to be pretty fun 36. Despicable Me 3-I’m huge on any Illumination films, but there’s still some fun to be had with these movies 35. Iron Man 3-If you take away The Mandarin twist, I think this movie’s a good time with a lot to offer 34. Incredibles 2-It’s nowhere near as fresh as the first film, but it works as a sequel to that first film 33. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest-It doesn’t fully recapture the magic of the first film, but it still has great action, great Jack Sparrow moments, and a solid story 32. The Dark Knight Rises-A movie that’s so close, yet so far from greatness at the same time 31. Avengers: Age of Ultron-A movie that’s an example of bigger not always equaling better 30. Transformers: Dark of the Moon-It has most of the problems of the other Michael Bay Transformers sequels, but it delivers a lot of great Transformers action to make up for it for me 29. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens-The next two films in this trilogy sours me on this movie quite a bit, but it’s still an enjoyable Star Wars film that has a lot of solid stuff in it 28. Aquaman-A really fun globe trotting adventure film that has great action, some fun humor, and a solid version of the king and his kingdom storyline 27. Frozen II-I don’t think it has the songs of the original, but it’s still a very good piece of family entertainment with a bunch of solid jokes and themes 26. Avatar-Even though it has the template of a bunch of other movies (which a ton of people have pointed out), it’s very well executed for what it is and what it’s trying to do 25. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone-It may not be as layered or deep as the later films in the franchise, but I do think this is a very good introduction to the Wizarding World 24. Frozen-A movie that shows that you if you get the most important things in your movie right, everything else is forgiveable in a certain sense 23. Aladdin 2019-Because the story lends itself to a live action format and because Will Smith is great as The Genie, this is the best Disney live action remake if you ask me 22. Furious 7-A Fast & Furious movie that provides all of the shenanigans you want from one of these movies, all while being a great tribute to Paul Walker 21. Black Panther-A very solid comic book film that has a lot of interesting ideas, a fantastic villain, and quite a bit to say about race and identity 20. Zootopia-A great animated film that has humor, emotion, fun characters, and a message that it articulates through its story instead of shoving its message in the audience’s face 19. Avatar: The Way of Water-It wasn’t worth the thirteen year wait, but it’s another very satisfying, crowd pleasing film from James Cameron 18. Jurassic World-This movie is incredibly dumb and at times nonsensical, but that’s why I have so much fun with it and think it’s easily the best Jurassic Park sequel 17. Skyfall-A James Bond movie that changes up the formula in a way that makes for the second best film of this franchise in my opinion 16. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2-One of the best films in this franchise for its great acting, cinematography, and closing out this great franchise in a very satisfying way 15. Spider-Man: No Way Home-An amazing gift to Spider-Man fans that provided a fantastic theatrical experience that doesn’t around much these days 14. The Avengers-It’s easy to take for granted how insane this movie was, but this really is a movie that holds up very well and is a great close to Phase 1 of the MCU 13. Captain America: Civil War-An MCU film that has a lot of popcorn entertainment, while also having an incredibly engaging, well written, compelling, and fantastic story 12. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story-A great Star Wars movie that complements everything that came before it very well, while expanding on what Star Wars is very well at the same time 11. Toy Story 4-I know a lot of people really don’t like this movie, but I loved it as the epilogue to the character of Woody and his journey throughout this franchise 10. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King-I’m not a Middle Earth fanatic, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a truly epic and emotionally satisfying conclusion to this great trilogy of films 9. Joker-A comic book movie that shows that you don’t have to have a bunch of jokes and massive spectacle to make a fantastic film 8. Toy Story 3-A movie that has a great story, great humor, and an amazing last 45 minutes that concludes this trilogy of films in an incredibly satisfying way 7. The Lion King-A beautifily animated, emotionally rich movie that’s one of the most celebrated movies of all time for a reason, because it’s fantastic 6. Titanic-It’s easy to pick on this movie for taking an event where 1,000+ people died and making it a love story about two fictional characters who just met, but the movie itself is masterfully executed from beginning to end 5. Avengers: Endgame-An amazing conclusion to the Infinity Saga that delivers fantastic entertainment, fantastic emotion, and the greatest fan service ever put to film 4. Top Gun: Maverick-I’m not as huge on the original Top Gun as a lot of people, but Top Gun: Maverick is an absolutely phenomenal movie that shows the absolute best of what blockbuster filmmaking can be 3. Avengers: Infinity War-A movie combines everything amazing about the MCU into the best MCU movie and a comic book movie masterpiece 2. Jurassic Park-A phenomenal movie that has fantastic characters, amazing thrills, digital effects that age beautifully, a great sense of wonder, a compelling story, and a great sci-fi concept to pull it all together 1. The Dark Knight-A fantastic, layered, complex story + great action + a great score + inspiration taken from Michael Mann’s Heat + a phenomenal performance from Heath Ledger + 1,000 other reasons for why this movie’s awesome = the greatest comic book movie of all time

First off and most importantly, amazing video. However, I will die on the hill a Syndrome being a great villain as without his role as both a failed younger sidekick and attempt to replace superpowers, the journey of Bob and Helen both a) allowing their kids to take the risk of using their powers becuase Syndrome is what befouled happen if they don’t and b) functioning as an externalization of the family’s struggle against hiding their powers, that character growth loses its foundation. And he’s legitimately scary, not in a nightmare way obv, but in that his egotistic unpredictability and confidence illustrate his competence until the final action set piece when the robot goes rogue.

This list was fascinating. I didn't realise there were so many billion films and it makes me happy many of these films feel like they deserve the billion (Not all, tho). My personal Top 10 would be (I'm a HUGE comic fan so there's a bit of bias): 1) Toy Story 3: Have such a connection to the Toy Story films and to me it was just the perfect ending to the trilogy! 2) The Dark Knight: HUGE Batman fan (Like most), so as one of the best Batman films, this has gotta be high on here! 3) Jurassic Park: MASTERPIECE! No matter who you are, this film is just phenomenal! 4) Avengers Endgame: A memorable cinema experience and an epic conclusion to such a spectacular saga 5) Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone: The film that started one of my favorite franchises so perfectly 6) The Avengers: Considering what it had to do, it is incredible they pulled it off, and still holds up to this day 7) Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows P2: Not my favorite HP film, but the BEST ending I could ask for 8) Captain America Civil War: One of the best films in the MCU, and proves the Russos as the MCU powerhouse 9) Top Gun Maverick: My favorite film of the 2020s so far, and a masterclass in filmmaking and storytelling 10) The Lion King: Iconic!

No way Return of the King is this low, it’s in it’s own class above pretty much every movie on this list.. but it’s also my all time favourite movie and I think it’s the greatest achievement cinema ever gave us.. so I’m biased 😅

My top 16 billion dollar movies are 01. Top Gun Maverick- A wonderful thrill ride from beginning to end and one of my favorite movies from 2022. It was worth seeing it on the Big Screen three times. 02. The Avengers- My all time favorite MCU movie and another one of my favorite 2012 movies. This movie took risks that paid off really well. 03. Skyfall- My second favorite Daniel Craig's Bond movie and one of my favorite from 2012. 04. Jurassic Park- A movie that I didn't like at first, but overtime I have grown to love this movie. 05. Avengers Endgame- A movie that pays off the previous 21 MCU movies and this is my all time favorite final battle in the MCU movies. 06. Spider-Man No Way Home- A movie that does justice for Spider-Man fans and seeing Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland together on the big screen is one of the things I thought made this movie great. 07. Rogue One- A movie I felt was a breath of fresh air for the Star Wars franchise. 08. Furious 7- My all time favorite Fast and Furious movie. 09. Captain America Civil War- In this movie, the conflict between Captain America and Iron Man felt earned in this movie. 10. Avengers Infinity War- A culmination of the 10 years leading to this moment. 11. The Dark Knight- A fantastic follow-up from Batman Begins. 12. Black Panther- I really love this story and just the heart that went into this movie. 13. Jurassic World- A fun taco bell movie. 14. Incredibles 2- An enjoyable sequel! 15. The Dark Knight Rises- Despite me wanting a better ending than what we got I still had fun with it. 16. Star Wars the Force Awakens- I enjoyed this movie out of this recent trilogy, but due to the other two movies that made me like a little less.

I think despicable me 3 could have benefited from it being about him meeting his father instead of his brother, because it could have had Indiana Jones 3 last crusade vibes kinda utilising the Harrison ford and Sean Connery chemistry. It could have had his dad be this super evil guy and have him throughout the movie trying to convince grew to be a bad guy again, and have his dad actually be the main bad guy, maybe teaming up with the purple 80’s dude and maybe turning him into his side kick. But idk, maybe that wouldn’t have worked either, it’s just an idea.

What I find so fascinating is that the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was the first to have multiple films gross at least 1 billion dollars.
