My wife and I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now, as we just discovered your channel. We don't spend a lot of time watching RU-vid, but when we're relaxing in the evening, quite often we find ourselves on your channel. It's easy for an hour or more to slip by. What a wonderful body of work so far - KEEP IT UP! We're in our 60s now (lord!) and only wish we had done even just half of what you two are doing (while we were younger)! We can't really do the hike-in-camping anymore, but absolutely love to do day hikes. Our hiking/camping play ground is in the Mt. Adams wilderness. Your videos show us MANY new places to go within reach in our region - and we will! We CONTINUALLY here ourselves saying; "HEY - We need to go there, we need to do that!" We're not social media types, and very rarely comment on videos, but this morning we're just compelled, seeing the low views on apparently all of your videos (so far). We don't completely understand that, as your videos are really appealing, as they have a more 'reachable theme' than many other video channels out there. Please know that your videos are truly wonderful to watch -honestly! They are very well done, at times breath taking, beautiful, obviously took great effort (wow), care and TALENT to film (video), then edit and produce here on RU-vid. The choice in background music and very informative commentary are also spot-on and fitting. We THANK YOU very much for the wonderful videos and salute your obvious courage and sense of adventure. They have certainly made several dull winter evenings a real treat indeed, especially with a hot buttered rum, ha.. We've focused mainly on videos of the West and Northwest region, plus Glacier and Yellow stone...etc.. Just wonderful. We live in SW Washington near the Columbia Gorge. We would recommend that you someday travel to the NW corner of Oregon to Joseph Or, Wallowa Lake, and the Eagle Cap wilderness. >> These comments apply to ALL the videos we've viewed thus far, which appears to be roughly 50%. Apparent low viewership has NOTHING at all to do with your videos, they are great. Your channel is simply young, and the topic may be appealing to a limited sect of the population. Given the competition on RU-vid, you're doing fine. "You have our heartfelt thanks, truly!"

Wow, thank you so much for these kind words.. you truly do not know what this means to us! We really appreciate the encouragement and we are so happy to hear you have enjoyed our videos! We loved our time in Washington so thank you for those recommendations, we definitely hope to make it back there some day!! We have been back home for the holidays for several weeks now but still have a couple more videos from our road trip to finish! We are crossing our fingers to get back on the road internationally here in January so hope you guys stay tuned! ☺️

@@WaypointofView > We will be sure to keep watching your channel. Your un-stoppable smiles and can-do attitude is very refreshing! We just started viewing your travel through-out the Philippines, and that whole region. Beautiful videos thus far, like all the rest. You two are indeed quite adventurous! Keep it up you two, stay safe and healthy.

@@craigtaylor7812 Thanks so much! Lol don't judge us too hard on our older videos.. 😂😂 While we definitely still have a long way to go, we like to think we have improved since the early days. ☺️

I hope to do a lot of backpacking now that I retired. The pack makes a difference when climbing a mountain. The ramen bomb sounds filling. I like instant potatoes! The hammocks are a nice way to chill at camp. Trekking poles really help over boulders if you are not scrambling. Hiking on uneven rocky trails is hard on the feet. A good firm insole is a lifesaver.

So hoping to score a permit this year. I hiked this back in the mid 70's when permits were not required and very few people hiked and even fewer went there. Happy you got to enjoy that area it really is a gem.

Fingers crossed you get the permit! Very cool you got to hike there before it became so popular though! We were amazed by all the people doing it as a day hike... that hike was no joke!!

@@WaypointofView our trails have become so over crowded since covid its not even funny. I find myself heading way out in the middle.of nowhere to little known trails these days.

My husband and I came upon your channel and are having so much fun watching you! You are so fun and inspiring. We are preparing to retire and want to travel and explore , you are giving us such great ideas. I would love to see a video with you both sharing a bit on how you got started on this grand adventure. What inspired you? How did you prepare? What did you do before? How do you fund all your traveling? What tips would you give for anyone wanting to do something similiar? What are your future plans? Oh and ... what are your ages? ;) Thanks for sharing and being an inspiration.

Thank you so much Jennifer!!! We are so glad you found us and really appreciate the kind words and great questions! We really do need to do a video addressing this stuff! But in the meantime, I can answer a little bit here! ☺️.. We are 33 / 34... I (Jessica) was an insurance broker for 10 years before we left to travel and Myles was in marketing for a medical company. We saved and saved for 5 + years... sold our house, one of our cars, put all of our stuff in storage and went for it! We currently don't really make any money so our savings are what funds our travels. We took the leap in 2019 with the plan of traveling internationally for 2 years and obviously a lot has changed due to COVID. While it might be a little early, we are so excited because we actually have our first international flight booked for 2021... in 3 days! 🤗😳🤗😳. Packing as we speak actually! As far as tips/ suggestions/ preparation... I can get into more details on that than you would probably ever want but the biggest thing I would say, if this is something you are passionate about... book the flight!!!!! 😍😍 In all seriousness, I am happy to answer specific questions/ go into a lot more detail if you want to email us (Waypointofview@gmail.com). Thanks again for the advice on the video, we definitely need to do something like that!
