3D Now, man I've been patiently waiting for this review. I recently purchased this printer and it's in transit, can't wait, lol. I was leaning towards the Ender 3 as my 1st printer, but decided on the U30 after watching your build video. One question, is there a list of a Cura profile for this printer ?. THANKS so much for the review and test prints !!!

Awesome! I believe a cura profile comes with the printer on the Micro sd card, but I just used my normal profile for all my printers and just changed the bed dimensions. It works great.

It should have came with one. Mine was kind of hidden.

@@3DNow No it doesn't. I searched intensively several times, but it doesn't appear. I contacted Gearbest, but nothing has been solved. :(

Bought the printer just before your unboxing came out and when I got it worked great.. A few mods that I done for it, like the spool holder on the side with bearings and going to put some fans on the stepper motors. I noticed that the extruder motor gets extremely hot and needs some cooling. Not sure if it is just mine or all in general. But all in all love it...

At what overhang degree did it start stringing? You mentioned it did well but we didn't get any good pics of the underside of the overhang test

Hay. I have a u 30 but im having a bit of trouble. The cant get the cura settings to work on it the test prints works well but not my own prints. Mabe u could do a vid on how u do your cura settings? Any help would really help

Maybe sure your bed is the right size and the filament diameter is correct. Those are usually the most common problems

Add a custom printer and put in the U30 specs.

What slicer did you use on your models? Been using ideamaker then a quick go on slic3r and the print is lighter and more detailed.

what types of filament can it use? And would this one or the ender 3 be a better printer to get?

It can pretty much print any material. This and the ender 3 are good. It is really your preference.

Good video, you’ve assembled and tested both the Ender 3 and the Alfawise U30, both is under $200; which do you think is better? I plan to use it for printing miniatures and build small scale sci-fi ships, so I guess print quality is most important as well as ease of use. Your opinion would be helpful. Thanks

If you are going for ease of use and print quality then the ender 3 will be best. If you are looking for features then the U30 will be great.

Hey I'm gonna get into 3d printing and I would like to know if this is a better choice then the ender 3, I'm going to be printing a lot of tpu

If you are printing tpu than you should get a direct drive printer.

@@3DNow Yes but I do want something cheap ish and I'll still be printing pla and abs as well I just think maybe tpu more because I fly fpv drones and would like to do some gopro mounts and other small mounts for antennas, motor dampeners etc

The ender 3 and U30 will work with tpu but it may be a little hard. Both printers are great. You can check the links in the video description for links and prices.

I'm a complete beginner and wanting to get into 3d printing. The U30 sounds and looks great. But in the comments it looks like you've recommended the Ender 3 slightly more. I don't want to fall for gimmicky features and sacrifice quality and true ease of use. Which would you recommend for someone just starting out? I've gotta keep it around $200.
