Therefore, peeps in those countries where have to resort to these electronic devices as a substitute. The only ones who have access to mercury sphygmomanometers are the ruling elites, because they want accuracy when it comes to their health concerns.

can the monitors be used to measure BP from the ankle? This video says by comparing BP between ankle and arm you get an indication of plaque buildup in the arteries.

There is too much of this crap on the market. They are not precise and too many are downright inaccurate. You cannot calibrate any of them. What you buy is what you get. Not being able to calibrate is a real turnoff. If the accuracy changes, there is nothing you can do about it except junk it and buy another one and hope it is better than the last one. You can get consistent and better readings with a separate cuff, gauge, and stethoscope. I finally took the plunge and bought an OMRON. It lasted a week before it began reading systolic more than ten points low and I can't fix it.

Yes they are all junk. And not many people on you tube know enough to rate them. Who cares if its wi fi or this or that. Botton line is it accurate and not 15 pts high or low. The wrist type are terrible.

I can't take what the narrator says seriously as she says the Health Check Smart at 5:20 takes two batteries and I clearly see three. There are some other inconsistencies so not a good source for me. One thumb down!
