Best breakfast in Hamilton, Montana then onto a bike path to Missoula, Montana.
Met some interesting and informative bikepackers while camping in someone's yard!
Finally saw my favorite bikepacking gear setup!
This is DAY 10 of my first bikepacking learn-as-I-go adventure!
48 Miles
In this episode I bike from Hamilton, Montana on the rail trail up to Missoula, Montana. I land at an amazing Warmshowers house in a beautiful neighborhood where people have been camping in the yard for years! I'm welcomed by the generous owner and some super cool unique bikepackers - all with different agenda's. I take a peek at downtown and swing by Adventure Cycling Association where I'm offered some truly appreciated treats! After sharing my bikepacking plans, Jeff re-routes me to the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route in Ovando, Montana. A truly wonderful day with so many unique experiences!

One thing that blew my mind was that all the back alleys in Missoula were super super clean. I wish I had know about Bruce's place before visiting.....although I had some fun with a gas station attendant at a truck stop nearby trying to catch a wandering cat for a couple of nights. MASALA the Indian restaurant just a few short blocks away from Bruce's was fantastic! Although its a pretty expensive town to live in ....and there's not a lot of places available to rent....I found myself feeling like I was at home and at peace with myself 2375.2 miles from my actual home. Pauls Pancake Parlor was crazy good and I visioned myself living there and walking over to the Wilma theater for a string cheese incident or a leftover salmon show..... 15 minutes away is the garden of one thousand Buddha's and it's such an experience that I went back everyday that I was there. I took a short walk up to the M but that was it. I would love to some of thoes trails in the area.....just to be in that quiet beauty....its really incredible! Thanks for the video Naomi 😊

@HumanontheLoose 2 года назад
It was for my particular setup. The Revelate Spinelock is fantastic! No shifting and the high wide design kept weight closer to saddle. I've also come to learn many bags drop a bit. The problem for me was the bag was already very close to my tire so I didn't have much clearance to begin with. If you do - I think you'd be fine.
