Thanks for the review. There are So Many Led Panel lights out there that it can be confusing on what one to buy. This one sounds really solid and not cheaply made. And can't go wrong for the price. Especially love that it's bi-color.
Are there different versions of the light? On Amazon the backside (the battery interface thingy) looks a little bit different. Do you know anything about this? What are the differences between them? Hope you see this.

FriendFilms Have you noticed any flickering with these lights when dimmed? Also have you seen or found any softboxes that are made and fit this light perfectly?
Is there a video you shot with these lights? I ordered two of these too and im a bit scared that i will be disappointed because that they are not as bright as some other products?
Yeah, absolutely. Every video that I've done on my channel since that one (and including that one) has been lit with those lights. All of the talking head and b roll was lit with those lights. Yes, the output does leave a bit to be desired, but in a controlled setting they're great.
Nice video, thanks! Do these LEDs tend to cast a harsh shadow like against a green screen behind the subject? Or, does the pebbled surface diffuse the light effectively, the way an umbrella or a light-box would?
Man, you need 3 sources of light, two sides one top, to make shadows disappear... it's the only way... this have literally nothing to do at all with kind of light you use...
do you recommend one of that for Livestreaming? I'm a Twitch streamer without greenscreen. I just want to light up me and my room so that my webcam doesn't produce that ugly pixels
I have foud a review that is couple of years old... the output is some 1000 lx at 1 m (around 90 fc at 3 feet) - f8 at iso 800. That is 10 fc/110 lx at 9 ft/3m. Cca f2.5 at 800 iso (1.2 at iso 400). If you don't need aluminium housing, u-bracket and bi color, you can look for a yongnuo yn-300 that is 2x brighter (and a bit narrower and harsher but uses only 1 battery). Don't get me wrong, I ordered 2 of the lights in the video, for interview purposes when I don't want to setup larger lights and softboxes, booklights and whatnot or to light a background when I do.
The dimmer did not reduce the light output enough. Very disappointed with this feature. Need to have ND cut for this light for the subtle lighting one needs when shooting with at F1.8 with a 2000 iso. It drains batteries quicker than my Genaray because of the inadequate dimmer. Still for the money it's a good tool to have.
wow so I purchased this product off of amazon and the battery is not included, I thought I could plug it into the wall and not need the battery, I'm so confused! I'm a total roookie someone plz help me!
I haven't discovered any but I did use the little threaded holes on the front (sorry, not sure what size) to makeshift a little filter holder where I can. Put gels, diff, ND, etc.
Yeah turns out I think they listed it wrong because I went back and tried to do a repeat order and it was now priced at $90. I think it was only suppose to be the soft box for $38 but the ad said both so I guess they just honored the purchase and took the L.
Mine broke on the first day I received it. I wanted to love this light but Neewer customer service is hot garbage too. Now I'm a Yongno man! Their yn light series has totally stepped up!
Ordered set of three 660 with batteries, stands, barn doors and then, couples days after payment, get canceled. What a joke of the company and the way if treating the customer. It is a Sunday and they just canceled my order without even contacting me first. I'm in UK and currency is GBP but payment is done in USD, so my bank done currency conversion from GBP to USD and in this transaction and cancellation I just lost £20.00gbp. What a joke in very bad!
