Explanatory:
==========
Inspired by some videos here on YT, I tried out how well my old stills camera Nikon D810 would perform in video.
And, I am quite impressed with the result. Okay, I was somewhat lazy and let the AF do some of the focusing - but it worked most of the time.
But what impressed me most are the colors that come out of the D810 when loading a log-type of picture profile into it and doing the post in the ACES color space (using the Panasonoc P35 as an IDT).
I also tried out the super scaling feature of DR, lifting up from HD to 4K - again, not too bad.

I am loving the colour coming out of this camera. Did you use DaVinci or Premiere to colour it?

I did the post in Davinci Resolve. To be honest, I've never worked in Premiere. For these shotes, I tried out working in the color space ACES - but in the meantime, I've switched back to manually setting DR into Rec709 colorspace for the whole timeline and transferring the clips (yes, clip by clip) with a color space transformation node into famous ARRI color space which allows for very cinematic grading. Your question just created some appetit with me to re-edit exactly thiss footage and see what it comes out from different processing.

@@joyoffilming9500 That's stunning, I've never used Resolve before but I plan on using it to colour grade my videos next year

@@ChevaughnBeckford Good plan, man. DR is basically for free. Only a few functions are with the studio version - so, for getting yourself familiar with DR the free version is perfect. Only thing to consider: whenever you start doing massive node trees, especially with NR, you may need the studio version and a powerful graphic card - but this aplies to all that kind of SW.

@@joyoffilming9500 thanks man. Will most definitely keep this in mind. Gonna get the free version and start experimenting
