A word of caution for users who reside in Oklahoma. Visible doesn’t have coverage between Shawnee and the Arkansas border on I-40 heading west. The service just goes dead right outside of OKC limits heading west and comes back online at the Arkansas state line.

They probably have coverage but your phone might not support that frequency.

@@CristianJ_Rubio this is not true. I've tried this on the unlocked iPhone 13 and the unlocked Samsung S22. Both flagship models with the latest modems. Visible doesn't have coverage by default wherever Verizon does. Visible doesn't have access to certain cell sites owned and operated by third parties whereas Verizon does. The above mention swathe in OK presumably falls into this category.

Great video! I'm on Visible now with the Party plan. Since that's going away what is the next option? I see for $45 on Visible I would get upgraded options but for the same $45 on US Mobile it looks like I can get a better deal/value. Any other plans you can recommend? I'd like to stick with T-Mobile or Verizon since I have an unlocked Samsung S22.

AT&T is going full support on cricket wireless that’s why they changed plans on both carriers on both brands so AT&T removed HBO max from postpaid and cricket wireless has HBO max with ads this is why AT&T allowed cricket wireless to have HBO max with ads because they are now pushing and backing up and going full support on cricket wireless that’s why plans are changing

please do a video for cellphone plans for rural areas or stress test these plans in crowded spaces. It's one thing to have coverage but it's another to have only one band of 3G when you're out driving in the middle of nowhere or need to catch an Uber at a football game

@@StetsonDoggett The only thing I didn't like about US Mobile is once the data is use up it shuts down. With PagePlus the data is unlimited and throttles down in speed but you still have data until the next billing cycle.

I went to look for us mobile in new york city but i could not find it nor could i find xfinity mobile so i decided to go with cricket and so far so good. Connection doesn't drop or anything and so far i am loving it compare to my previous career which was simple mobile.

Hands down Magenta Max is the best plan out there. Faster WiFi almost never slower speed since possessing the most towers across nationwide. Netflix for free and Tuesday’s deal are unbeatable. Could u ask for more.

but t-mobile purposely blocks connections needed for gaming or voice calls on discord when using hotspot, so its a massive deal breaker i got Magenta Max for the speed but cant even call my friends or game on it, unless i use PDAnet+ then it works, and tmobile will say that hotspot cant do things like that because its too slow and not made for it. but with PDAnet+, i can use my phone for internet on my pc and play games with almost no issues. and if anyone says anything bout me gaming on hotspot, its my only choice, unless i wanna game on satellite with 7000 ping

T-mobile is probably one of the worse plans available. They offer services they do not own because their own is lackluster. Beware of "special discounts" and "free" offerings with any merchant. Youre probably buying the bells and whistles while still lacking a product.

Great information, however I need more. My wife and I are on the Mint mobile $15.00 plan. The problem I have, well 10 ten days before the plan renews, were out of data an or the speed is reduced. Instead of spending $20 for 1g of data varies months, I need to change plans. Either move up to the Mint 10g of data or try the US Mobile 5g of data for $15. Or just go and do the Visible $25 plan since taxes are all included. Can you explain the U.S. Mobile pool plan for two. Would it be cheaper than the single plan with or without taxes included? I'm just confused trying to find the right two person plan. Help Please

Maybe I totally missed it in this excellent video, but I don't believe that you mentioned wearable add ons in your comparison. As add ons become more popular, that will effect the value of the plans. Visible for instants is only $5/month but other carriers are $15/month. Quite a bit of difference. Right in the catagory of the Hotspot cost. Could you include this in your comparisons?

So many good plans listed in this video Stetson! It really makes me think hard about my post paid Verizon plan. Wish their was a way to test the att network without paying an arm and a leg . I know it must have been hard to list the wireless plans in their video with such fierce competition in the mini space and it’s constantly changing. To test att network, get a Red Pocket free trial for a week, 3gb included. But need to punch in a credit card. Unsubscribe before the end, or get charged 30$ I tried it a couple weeks ago, esim worked flawlessly.

I have a verizon prepaid plan but verizon prepaid doesnt offer a prepaid apple watch plan, but the rep told me I could get a post paid plan for the watch and it will still work with my verizon prepaid number. So my question is, if I were to one day port my verizon prepaid number to Mint, but Mint doesnt offer the apple watch cellular plan, would having a post paid verizon apple watch plan work/sync with my iphone if/when my iphone would be with Mint Mobile? Sorry for this long message; I just want to fully understand before making the decision or leap

I was just on the coverage critic site and it said Kellogg ID had 8 out of 10 for coverage on Verizon. It said it was the best option, yet I was just on vacation there and Verizon (well, Visible) was terrible. it was between 0 and 9 Mbps at best. My T-Mobile 4G phone on the other hand gave me 254Mbps.

Visible doesn’t access Verizon’s full network because it is prepaid. You also don’t get Verizon’s extended coverage.

Also ensure your phone fully supports all network bands. If it doesn't support a band, then your phone won't be using that frequency to communicate hence losing speed. Usually band 66 is for high speeds

I will say, T-Mobile Magenta Max does get more value, of course for additional services. With Max, you get $30 home internet vs the starting out $50 from other carriers, and also half off on RU-vid TV for a year, with both of those you can cut internet and cable bills over in half, yes you pay a little extra but with the Netflix being a higher tier and paid for along with these other benefits, its a pretty impressive price if you have the capability or have been with another carrier already paying $200 or so for a family plan. Another great video as always! Just some food for thought lol

Stetson, My wife and I got a lot of good information from your video. So she decided to jump ship from Verizon and go to US MOBILE. During the transfer process her phone WAS DEAD for 5 full days ! Is there a way to avoid this horrible wait with no service at all? I run a business with my phone and having it off for several days is unacceptable. Can I temporarily transfer the number to some other kind of service so that customers won't just get a recording from Verizon saying that the phone is dead?

I tried my Visible hotspot last night and the Speedtest said I was getting a little over 10mbps. I was surprised since it was supposed to cap at 5. I'm happy that they are delivering more than promised.

Do you have a 5G device? There have been anecdotal reports that hotspot is at 10Mbps on a 5G device, even though Visible says 5Mbps officially.

Visible was hit or miss for me. If I was in an area with lots of small cells and C-Band, visible worked great. If I was in an area that was not densified or upgraded, they were not so good.

Great video! Just wanted to point out that you incorrectly listed T-Mobiles Magenta plan having 720p video when it’s 480p when comparing the premium unlimited plans. Although at the end you ended up showing a chart that said 480p contradicting what you originally showed. Also I’m not sure when you recorded this video but starting on the 21st T-Mobile is doubling international data speeds and offering 5GB for certain EU countries

I updated T-Mobile's plan from saying "480p streaming" to "720p streaming" when they upgraded the video streaming throttle from 1.5Mbps to 2.5Mbps. From my testing, 2.5Mbps is fast enough to stream RU-vid videos at 720p.

guys help, i really wanna get visible 25 unlimited plan, but i dont know how to get into a party. also i have s21 ultra and it said it wasnt compatible with regular sim card but its compatable with Esim. and i dont know what that is. like it said it will use my actual sim but then change it..like wut. i wanna try the free trial but i can only do eSim option and how do i know they wont charge me again when trial ends. also how do i switch from esim back to normal Tmobile sim. sorry i just need help and am confused.

Nah, cellular wise Canada is lame. It looks like Canadian carriers copy-paste all plans from each other. Literally "spot the difference" game at its finest. Curious how much longer the Competition Bureau will look the other way.

For multiple lines and if you have att fiber the unlimited plan drops to $26.25 per month. With taxes and fees for 4 lines my dad pays $130 total. They also have the 16gb prepaid plan for $300 but personally I'm riding on the mint 10gb plan which has been working well

im trying out the us mobile trial plan period and it doesnt let me use personal hotspot on my phone that i need for work sometimes to send docs on my laptop. ALso i only have 2 bars and no 5g compared to mint mobile. but mint has a lot of dead spots for me with no bars at all for minutes. i used ur website and it said verizon was best for my area but the usmobile/verizon hasnt been good. help!

Got att elite Verizon get more magenta max use a 1tb of data using speed test combined between 3 plans when I connected to mmwave I using like 6gb of a data per test

Important note about Xfinity mobile , you can’t sign up , unless you also have Xfinity home Internet . Meaning if you live in an area that Xfinity doesn’t service for home internet you can’t sign up for Xfinity mobile . Even though it’s on Verizon’s network. Source: I work for Xfinity .

Hands down Magenta Max is the best plan out there. Faster WiFi less almost never slower speed since possessing the most towers across nationwide. Netflix for free and Tuesday’s deal are unbeatable.

No Tello? Their $29 unlimited plan definitely belongs in the "cheap unlimited plans" category IMO. 25GB for $29, no throttle on hotspot, you can email them to remove the default 480p video throttle... The new $29 price point really shifts things around because it's more data than most would use while still being cheaper than the average. It's the cheapest plan with 25GB of data if you don't want to pay multiple months in advance, the next cheapest is Lively at $34.99.

Tello’s plan is great! The reason I didn’t include it is that Tello doesn’t support 5G on iPhones. In my opinion, that’s a huge missing feature. 5G on the T-Mobile network does a LOT to improve data speeds and coverage. So right now Tello is fantastic for Android users, but I wouldn’t recommend them for iPhone users.

For us that still use voice on the phones I found out that T-Mobile based service has the worst audio quality - may it be Los Magenta, Mint or Google Fi. Verizon based services like Visible or Spectrum were better, and AT&T has the best voice fidelity on my Sony phone, even when I am talking to Verizon based user! Weird, but true! Anyways, thanks for the rundown. I found myself on $25 8GB AT&T yearly prepaid plan as it hits the sweet spot with Mexico coverage, excellent voice quality and fast data (not as quick as T-Mo on 5G but because of substandard voice quality I just couldn't commit).

So here's why I go for GET more and not PLAY more (though I'm not calling you wrong. I'm the only one in my family with Ultra and only one other family member went for Play More). This will sound insane but...There are months I pull 60-70GB of data. Our wifi sucks (and I have no control) so it actually BETTER to use the 5G (which FINALLY came to my area...). And I use Disney plus and Hulu alot, already have Netflix through my parents, and I need more than 25 gigs hotspot (I rely on it for my PC. Our internet is the worst and my Dad won't fix it...) Finally, I think you failed to mention GET MORE also comes with free Apple Music FOR GOOD, not for 6 months like the others. And as someone who takes 4 hour drives (both ways) weekly and always needs new music...Kind of a no brainer. Also before anyone suggests Magenta Max, T-Mobile might be expanding and also have 5G at my house, but up in the White Mountains Verizon has 2 dead zones and T-Mobile has... Well, don't make me laugh. They might be improving and finally have a tower on the ski resort (My friend was thankful for that weekend he started skiing last year) but at my condo he always had to use MY phone because T-Mobile has nothing there yet lol. Maybe someday though. I AM TEMPTED to swap to T-Mobile, but one MAJOR THING YOU FAILED TO MENTION is contracts. See, I CAN'T leaves right now anyway because I still owe on the phone. And frankly...I NEVER want to own the phone. Just like leasing my car, I wasn't to give it back every few years for the latest and greatest...

Hey Stetson thanks for the videos, but there's one thing I haven't been able to find out about these companies anywhere, maybe you can help. I'm starting a business (a restaurant) where people would order food online from our website and get a order confirmation SMS sent to their phone. I know how to send automated messages for order confirmation, but are these companies (AT&T, T-Mobile ect) fine with me sending automated messages like that?

So on this note why is all these fees with metro. Like for example buy new phone and have to pay another fee for new number. Then on top pay monthly bill for purchase to change date of payment. So I guess my thing is wtf lol why.( Metro)
