I took my analog mobula7 1s out yesterday for my first real 8 pack session. Super fun to fly. 10+ hours of sim time paid off. Tried angle at first being nervous but it felt so janky. Acro mode feels wayyyy more natural. I got 4-5 minutes cruising on 450mah.

Thats good man I got bored of sim when I first started and went straight in to a 2inch then onto a 6inch but sim time definitely pays off get through as many races as you can I feel like muscle memory sets in much quicker

Thanks for talking about the settings in GyroFlow and what some of them are there for. I haven’t tried using GyroFlow yet, but now that I have a camera that can be used with it, I’ll definitely need to learn more about GyroFlow. I also didn’t know about ND filters helping with jello problems, thanks for that one also. You seem to be able to keep that small quad pretty steady and smooth while in the air, nice job. Thanks for another informative video.

I hope in the the future vtx recorders will be able to have integrated gyro data, just like the thumb for more ease of use. Pretty cool how we keep moving forward and hopefully move towards a future we won't need an additional HD camera (At least for fun fly stuff and not really production work).

With the flag waving, you get a good idea of how it handles wind. A throwback ND filter from the past. Never throw anything away with drones. You never know what will fit on what. The filter was great for jello reduction.

Good that the moved the sd card spot. The mobula 6hd, with the sd at the front always ended up with ejected sd card on the slightest front knock. Mobula 7 was always my favourite. Now with Gyroflow, heaps of options for stabling that sweet whoop footage 👌 Thanks for the review and stay awesome 😎👊

I like how we are able to put small hd cameras on small drones and have hd footage without needing really big drones. Although, it's not the best hd camera it's still better than analog dvr.

My TinyGo I picked up over a year ago has the Caddx Loris 4k that looks great. I don't believe you could use gyro flow with it. Maybe using Blackbox info...? This is very light 👏 Happy Model has been coming out with great micros

That gyro logger is where the blackbox data comes from. I think you can use that setup with any camera.

the problem with putting dampeners for the camera is that the openLogger wouldn't be solidly attached to it anymore. i feel that could cause some unwanted behaviours with gyroflow, you would need to softmount the logger on the top with the camera

Hey Albert great video man! Just wondering if you could shed some light on the BlackBox logging. I reformatted the BB's SD card to FAT32 and although I'm getting the .txt log files they are all empty!...I'm a bit confused as to how to get the data to get recorded in the BlackBox. Thanks!!

I think it needs to be formatted as FAT and the reader is very sensitive on what card you use so if you have write failures, try a different card. Also, large card may not work. I used a 2GB card, so smaller is better.

Hey Albert, thanks for all the helpful info. Would you recommend the Mobula 7 ELRS as an indoor whoop for a beginner? Right now I don't want to even try indoors so I am learning on the TinyApe Freestyle outside. But I am eyeing this for winter time when I should hopefully have more skill and can practice at home without hitting everything.

I like an underpowered 65mm whoop indoors. Slower and smaller makes it easier to hit those gaps. Acro indoors takes some skills. Simulator recommended.

@@saharmesri1810 ELRS is the wave of the future, so a good way to go. Most people probably like the Mobula 6, but I prefer the Meteor 65 (not the Pro). Watch some videos to make your own decision. If you have a hard time, flying the whoop, you can check out Albert’s video on “Tips for Smoother Cinewhoop Flying.”

"Good" is kinda subjective. It will definitely work assuming you know how to connect up and configure all the components to work together. If you're unable to do that, then this would obviously be a "bad" idea. As a first drone, you're gonna crash it a lot so I would suggest getting the non-HD version of this instead of the HD version. Sorry, maybe I missed it. How about the difference in agility compared to a lighter mobula7 clocking in at approx. 24g /wo batteries? How is your assessment. I am really, really tempted by this one but it will be my first fpv and I think I lack knowledge and experience to male a solid decision here.

If you are asking about responsiveness, the extra weight makes it less responsive since the power system is the same. Can it make the same moves? Yes, you can make it do crazy stuff but you have to fly it differently because the power system doesn't respond as quickly.

It should be set up out of the box unless you changed some settings or reflashed the firmware. If the card isn't saving data, try a different card. Also, smaller cards seem to work better. I used a 2GB card. The card needs to be formatted FAT.
