Hey good review. Glad to see you pointed out the deck heights at the different elevations. I agree most abdominal work is not effected by it but some decline lifters do take the elevation to the point that some of the slight discomfort becomes noticeable. Some even to severe if they experimenting with the extremes but wouldn't expect that is a routine. Great review, and love REP benches. The Titan MAX adjustable frame looks to have been taken from the Rogue design with its double frame. That is one Titan Bench that there is an upgrade from the normal Titan line and it does come with the Leg attachment. I think Both Titan and REP are at about 449 now and the leg attachment from REP might have went up nine bucks to 89.00. Both of those are considerably less than the Rogue.
I personally would never decline bench at that much of an angle at least. Lol As for the different benches, for the money, Rep wins. Titan is too close in price to be a "budget" alternative in my opinion and the Rep bench is much better than the titan bench. Rogue is just too expensive for what you get. Lol Rep is both better and cheaper.
I wasn't aware of that bench at the time of making this video. I don't have any personal experience with that bench but based off of the pictures, it looks to me like it is of lower quality. The metal is thinner and the fabric appears to be the standard bench fabric that they use on their cheaper benches vs a textured, grippy fabric.
I just received the Titan FID bench last week and I love it, also, the leg attachment is included with the bench that's priced slightly cheaper. At $480, that's more than enough!
You can simply stand it up on its end against a wall. It's not marketed as being able to store vertically but it will stand up if you're okay with the pad touching the ground.
at around 9:50 you said that you feel that this bench is of higher quality than the rogue AB-3. It may be better value but as far as quality alone, I am not convinced. I will watch your other video and see. You have that bench so you may be biased and I have the Rogue AB-3 for direct comparison.
Yeah just watched your other video and ironically you had a quality issue. Some standout quality differences are that the rogue AB-3 is solid one piece welded frame and comes fully assembled, there is no way that this frame is bending similar to your issue. Also the paint, and feet on the REP bench are significantly lower quality compared to rogue powdercoat and actual feet, not just rubber covers. AB-3 has more adjustments and no issue aligning the headrest in decline. AB-3 also has higher quality wheels. AB-3 also uses thicker steel. AB-3 leg attachment appears to match quality of bench. REP may be better value, but not quality. Good videos, I also do not mind a gap in bench for centering yourself. The stainless steel wear strips and logo are nice on the REP bench, but let’s not get hung up on logos, and we all know about stainless steel quality from overseas.
Those are all fair points and I won't argue with you. I do want to clarify that I was not referring to quality control when I mentioned quality. I don't think anyone will argue that Rogue has some of the best quality control, period. When I say better quality, they are of similar functionality, plus REP has some nice bells and whistles on top of that like different colors, the steel cut logos, the wear guard with the degree numbers on it, etc. Those things aren't super important but all of them combined put the rep bench a little over for me, personally. I was not aware that the AB-3 lines up with the headrest in decline though.
Yeah I definitely agree the logo, wear strips and color options are positive differentiating qualities that the REP bench has over the AB-3. The AB-3 came with a stick-on logo that I immediately pulled off, it was a nice sticker, but still a sticker.
Yeah absolutely, it seems like the pretty much sat on the Nebula design without any improvements. This also apparent in the value of their specialty bars.
