Loving the content man!! Definitely just showed me what it is I need for my googles 2 setup. Was flying my Nazgûl the other day and nearly lost signal into some water. SIDENOTE: how do you like your evoque? Have you found yourself having to adjust any of the pid settings?

@@slapjack66any idea what the range is supposed to be on the bigger pair? Dji goggles v2 I guess theyre called, got 4 antennas and look like a halo mask lol. I think I set something up wrong or shi I don't even know anymore. I get like 200 yards of clear sight before I lose all video feed. I've got a nazgul5 HD v2 with cadx vista Radio master tx16s mk2 with built in elrs Dji goggles v2 I've tried 25mw and 700mw and it made the very slightest difference if any at all. Would 25mbps/50mbps change anything?

Battery only last for about 4 miles of total flight, so id rather have better penetration over 20km flights that wont be happening in the near future, I guess ill save the originals just in case!

can anyone confirm if there is a considerable signal loss between using these versus using the luminier goggles 2 adapters (MCX - SMA) with the sma version of this ? id rather wear out a set of adapters than the mcx on the goggles themselves. As it would no longer be feasible to store the goggle with the antennas mounted.

I just got my antennas today to test on my Long Range Chimera7 FRsky TD build, excited to test these out. On a sidenote how have you managed to get your OSD to get so wide on the Goggles 2, I cannot make mine go wider no matter what I play with.

Which polarization did you get? Does it matter? Seems that they only have RHCP in stock and not LHCP. Also, do you think the cosmetic defect pairs are worth the $20 discount?

@@table196 I'm running o3 too; it works with either I do believe but I went LH cuz lotta DJI stuff stock is LH. And idk anything about the cosmetic ones; I'd fire a message to em and ask. If it's just a scratch or something then for sure worth it.

@@TheTomJon They already wrote me back and they said that "Cosmetic on these is a connector that protrude a bit too much leaving a 0.5-1mm gap between goggles." So I would imagine that the 3d printed part makes them stick out further than the normal ones.

Not surprising 😅 I was curious because your original video showed really poor range with the vista and o2. So wandering if these antennas level the field for the vista, or just make a marginal improvement on the o3.

They help dramatically as long as your pointing them at your quad. Patch antenna vs. omni... If you wanna know more dive into some antenna theory and types of antennas; it's actually super helpful and important to know. I see A LOT of lost quads on Facebook that are due to people not understanding broadcast theory or antenna theory.

But i got an electrical engineering degree and majored in communications, so i reckon i got the theory part covered 😊 What bugs me is the polarization mismatch- the vista and OG air unit are lhcp. The o3 and goggles2 are dual linear polarized. In theory, it means you'll sacrifice a lot of signal by crossing the systems , unless you swap out the stock g2 antennas to lhcp. The polarization alone can explain your improved results... However, I've seen conflicting reviews, and only aftermarket patch antennas. No omnis. I fly all around, so i generally dislike patches.

That's good to hear. You can always swap the antenna on the quad too. We commonly swap polarization between races. As I'm sure you know but can have more pilots up if you coordinate the polarizations properly.

You'd have to google "polarization" to get the concept. I went with Left hand because Vista Stock antenna is LH; and O3 is "both" and can use LH or RH. By going LH you have no worries with stock DJI equipment.

@@TheTomJon both O3 Air Unit and goggles 2 have linear polarized antennas. The TrueRC are LHCP. That should give you better results with Vista but not sure about O3. The hodden antennas in the goggles are linear as well. It looks like there is no way to get the perfect match between goggles and transmitter antennas. Even so, I'm surprised your results with stock antennas were so bad. Others reported generally better penetration on O3 with goggles 2 vs Vista with V2 system.

it should yes; integra is just a cheaper version with built in battery and no diopter adjustment but the addition of GPS in headset for RemoteID

weird how you got a test result like that and i got no difference between stock and true rc patch even on my integra goggles the stock did better then the true rc. My thoughts are stick with the stock unless you have money to burn because there is not much of a difference except spend more money.
