Correct, I'm not playing Gamma+Driver since Driver is a hard garnets, in a deck that already has multiple garnets. If i wasn't playing the Crossouts i'd play it, but the main deck is optimized for opening one of the 8 main "normal" summons, and reducing the chance of seeing bricks Even though its only 1 way to summon the meteor, its still easy to get out, since almost every combo line goes through romulus, and you can chain block romulus with Black metal

If you can shut down the Konkon you should be fine. Thats when i've had success

Anything in the side is dependent on your locals/meta in your area as mentioned in the video. My locals sees no Anti-Spell (other than me, as a way to stop Dark Ruler No more), and no one has played Floo since Tear format. I like your suggestions but it depends on the decks you expect to play in your area

yeah, it is a brick, but i play it without gamma for 3 reasons 1) Allows BMD to chain block Romulus 2) It can be summoned in almost every combo via Romulus and pairing it with a bystial accesses Atum to get any dragon needed 3) Adding in the driver and gamma, reduces the chance to open one of the first 8 cards i showed off to less than 60% and adds another brick to the deck, which is significantly worse than meteor dragon The lack of Gamma is the main thing people have been curious about. If i added in the Gamma package i'd also add it more dragon extenders to get to 51 cards But yes, youre 100% right, it is a brick

tbh, thats more than enough to still compete! The main deck has become a lot less expensive The extra can be focused mostly on the links, + savage dragon & scarlight which are all pretty budget IIRC

So yes, SP can banish their own cards. But to do that, they would have to use the IP to get SP on the field (or have it already), activate Evenly, they get rid of 2 monsters (likely SP +1) and then, the end result is you can still create a crazy end board. It has become less strong, but It still is very worthy to side in my opinion

Nah, I dropped Levi, it's a win more card right now in my opinion Gamma was in the deck but adding in the cards adds to the bricks and reduces the consistency even more. Already struggle with that since I'm playing the crossout package If you dropped the crossout + droll, I'd add it back in

@@mattybolts yep, its the only way i summon it out, but almost every combo line goes through romulus, so its easy to summon it. Also, having in the deck, can allow Black metal dragon to chain block romulus's search for Ravine, and as a worst case scenario, its free discard fodder for Ravine, Chaos Space, etc.

In this build I feel like it's a win more card, and the deck already has so much follow up and power I didn't find it necessary

Only way the deck dies is if they ban romulus or striker dragon, then it becomes something completely different

@@MattOsheaYGO Striker I can see since he's used in other decks but I don't think he's impactful enough on the meta to get the axe

Having the extra name is really nice, but i agree it is cutable (just wish i had another Druiswurm right now), Saronir at 3 is important, as youll see in the combo guide coming next week, its a great combo piece. While beast is a brick, the disruption it offers is really nice, as it helps with decks like Floo, Labrynth, Rescue-Ace and more. It is a card i side out often though. If they chain another droll, then thats fine, it means they have 2 fewer cards in hand, and there are more hands than youd expect that can end on 1-2 interruptions through droll

Most common question I get lol Yeah in this variant without a level 2 tuner I feel it's just a win more card. With the hits to chaos space and magna the deck has less consistency. Droll is also pretty good this format so the hand either needs to have many extenders or defensive cards like crossout to play through it. Levianeer is neither I don't mind seeing the card in the main deck but I prefer not to

beast, is bad against unchained, but against a lot of the combo-control decks of the format its very useful. Is it mandatory, no, but still has a lot of utility without being a hard brick. We're about to enter a format with a lot of Droll and Nibiru, if Dlink attempts to make a board that doesnt end on spheres, Nib will end it before savage can get a negate. Droll is a hard stop to dragon link. I basically just replaced the missing chaos spaces/magnas with crossout. No other cards do what Magna/Space did, so to keep similar ratios and to avoid drawing garnets, i added in an extra layer of protection to offset less consistency Basically, instead of hoping i draw the right extender to play through something, crossout lets me play through whatever i'm worried about, while being applicable in pretty much every single matchup I respect your opinion, since yeah, its not common to see crossout, but i'm confident with my list going up against any deck

@@MattOsheaYGO is it competitive to add the assault synchron, and revolution synchron to this deck

i dont think rev synchron makes sense in dragon link, and i think that assault synchron saw play early after its release, but it requires you to play more extra deck cards to make the most out of it, which you dont have the space for. The best case, is a similar board, so i would recommend not using them for the current moment @@user-ss3sl3ee4k
