Lola, you made a disclaimer that your sauce is not a traditional, authentic Italian pasta sauce. You're being much too modest. Your recipe is akin to a traditional, authentic Italian pasta sauce, and it's very good.
She had to add the disclaimer before the Italians come in here saying “this is not how we make” etc…!!! As with every pasta recipe. Don’t believe me just search 😂
I also added mushrooms, tried to get as many vegs in my kids as I could. Kids are all grown up, haven't made it in a while. It was a cheap & delicious meal.

My wife, who went to heaven 3 years ago, made a sauce pretty well identical to yours. Whenever she made it, I'll have 3 servings of spaghetti the size of what you served. She had to stop me from eating too much. She only put more mushroom in it, fresh or canned, it's just as good. You made me miss my dear wife more now and also the spaghetti sauce, in restaurants those are NOT spaghetti sauce compared to yours.
I Tried this for dinner tonight! OMG so good!! Cayenne added a little kick to the spaghetti. I added fresh mushrooms to mines and didn’t add the water because the tomato sauce was a good enough liquid alone. Thank you for sharing your amazing recipe!! 😍😍
That's close to how I make mine. I add the cooked spaghetti to the pan of sauce so every bit of spaghetti gets coated with that wonderful sauce!!!! MMMMM good!!!
This is exactly how I make mine, I add mushrooms to mine as well. I am making it as I'm watching this video. I bought a new instant pot so I decided to make it in there instead of on the stovetop.

I know this video is a year old. But I used this recipe because I wanted a fresh delicious pasta sauce, and I’m never going back! I used your exact same recipe and added sausage and spices to make it hot. Best spaghetti I’ve ever made, and now I am here again getting the recipe about to make another pot❤❤❤

I made a New treat for every one to try. with your spaghetti noodles! Once there done add salsa over them with some chopped sardines, can use cheese ~ ITS YUMMY You might not ever use spaghetti sauce again, on your noodles ~ It was really a treat

I have a family recipe that goes back to my elementary school in the fifties. I just made it last week and we all love it. It has no herbs but it does have chili powder along with the usual cast of characters.

Maybe a little bit of sausage with all that oil......? I know a great way to keep a lot of that oil out of there, also I always use a beef that's high fat

great recipe. i would only appreciate if the vegetables are added almost when the sauce is ready to maintain the flavour and texture. i think you added it way early and thus it'd become too soft
