Eyelid Massage (meibomian gland expression) helps treatment with dry eyes, meibomian gland dysfunction (mgd), blepharitis, and can help get rid of an eyelid stye. You want to make sure you that you do it safely. Too much pressure on the eyelids and eyeballs after warm compress can potentially cause problems down the road. It may cause warpage to the cornea and lead to keratoconus, or the increase pressure can raise the eye pressure and damage the optic nerve, leading to glaucoma.
