This is why i love wranglers the most out of all the cars, its the most modifiable car to every exist, and its so so so popular in america and anywhere else on earth and everyone loves it❤️
Tanner Rienbolt Preach!!! I worked at an auto shop after I got out of high school to pay for college and one day when we lost power, one of the guys freaked out because we couldn't use the lift to change the oil and rotate the tires!!!! Drives me nuts!!
You want 35s and don't want to change your current ride quality? Teraflex 2in front and 1in rear leveling kit, Smittybilt narrow fenders (no longer for sale on Quadratec for some reason) and the proper backspaced rims and that is it. I'm running General Grabber AT2 35x12.50x17 (measure in at 34.1 or so inches sitting underneath the Jeep) and no clearance issues even when I have my JKS quick disconnects disconnected and flexed out and it still rides soft like stock. I order all my parts from Quadratec, even dating back to my old CJ5 and my current JKU. Great Company!
J Tereflex is POOP! They don't stand behind their warranty. Had some of their stuff 15 years ago with a lifetime warranty rear articulating trailing arms after a month when they broke then again second time they said they wouldn't cover the warranty so I rebuilt them myself and that lasted for 2 years I could never bring myself to buy another product from them again and their sway bar disconnects suck it's a good idea but you need a retarded backspacing to get them to fit and not hit first Jeep was a TJ second was a JK , both sets of sway bar disconnect sucked
I just got a '16 Wrangler Unlimited, 75th Anniversary edition - love it! I got the taillight guards, locking gas cap and the rubber mats already. Those are basic, low cost, great 1st upgrades in my opinion. I am however purchasing those front entry guards right now - those would be a great addition as well. Eventually would love to change out the wheels and tires but that will be down the road.
Ok I may sound a bit of a critic, but here in Europe, Best First Upgarades for a JK are considered as follows A) Recovery points in all cornersB) Mud terrain tires (not more than 33"if you want to overland) C) Winch with recovery kitD) Snorkel (got a lot of rivers)E) 2~2.5" lift or good friends with spade shovels Lights and other cosmetic upgrades can wait for later... PS: Love your other videos!!!
+Charalampos Sarantitis I would normally agree with you, but the stock headlights in the US on the Jeep JK SUCK. They are worse than filling a jar up with fireflies and attempting to use those as headlights.
We just bought a new 2019 Wrangler sport s , Its nice you show that they can be upgraded but the rapid fast forward of the installation doesnt really assist a new owner which would be the first upgrades as the video indicates.
how bout jeep just already build them with good parts and needed accessories. who wants to pay $40 grand for a jeep that needs simple upgrades. floor mats. really. jeep can't give us good floor mats out the door!?
The grille does need to be removed to replace the headlights. You cannot access the screws or the trim rings that retain the headlights in the bucket without removing the grille.
i bought a 2012 Jeep Sahara and it has some wide mudder tires on it very loud and bumpy if i put some bf goodrich all terrain i could keep the wide stans and maybe not as bumpy right? right i have 33" with 15 " rim i like the wide look just not the mudder tires. Thanks for any info.
The BFG all terrains will be a smoother ride for sure. there also might be some uneven wear on your current tires making them choppy on the road, that is something that can happen after a while if they are not rotated. so make sure when you do get new tires you keep up on the rotation.
Depends on the weight of the trailer. As for the wiring, you would need a 7 pin wiring harness here is the mopar version: www.quadratec.com/products/92015_111.htm and you will also need a brake controller: We have several options for those here is one of them: www.quadratec.com/products/72020_9003.htm
We didn't change the tail lights in this video. We simply had to remove the driver side to connect the trailer wiring harness, then re-install it. You can shop all our tail light options here www.quadratec.com/categories/lighting_lenses_bulbs/tail-lights
you would need to change over over to a CJ7 grille to use a round headlight on your YJ. we don't currently offer a square version of the Quadratec light, we do sell the Truck-lite version: www.quadratec.com/products/97061_9020.htm
It would be about $3200 for all of the upgrades that were done in this video. If you leave off the wheels and tires, it brings that total down under $900.
I cannot stand the look of the YJ inside or out. The hood latches and rear soft top windows mostly. But hey preference is everything I’ll stick to my TJ
