Pizza dough crust is a yeast based dough which is the same as a glazed doughnut dough. Pizza place I worked at would cook a pizza dough and cut it then put butter on it and sugar and cinnamon mix. Vanilla icing to top it off. 😊

i'm italian and I actually eat nutella with chips (I mean the ones inside bag, does it make any sense??). I love it so muchhhh, they're salty and crunchy and nutella is sweet and creamy. Perfect combo!!

In my country, pizza hut did had a dessert pizza menu, and had berry jam topping with strawberries and... I loved it. The bread is also thinner and leaned towards to the sweet side too!

We've had dessert pizza in the US for decades. People made it at home before they started making it at pizzerias. We don't always use regular pizza dough, though. At home, we use cookie dough for the crust. You don't have to top it with chocolate, though. You can use sweetened yogurt for sauce and cover it with sliced fruit.

I used to make apple crumble pizza! Regular pizza dough, add some apples coated in cinnamon sugar and then oats with a bit of honey drizzled! It's amazing!!

You guys should make your own!! When we've done it (in Australia), we didn't just have nutella - we also put giant marshmallows and let them melt over the top, then when it was out of the oven garnished it with fresh fruit like strawberries. It was diabetes on a plate.

Desert pizzas have been around for a long time.... LONG time. I have had fruit and crumble or streusel and more and they are great. There is also giant cookies that are frosted. Pizza Hut has been serving them for something like 20-30 years.

I didn't know chocolate pizza wasn't a thing. In France it is rather easy to find desert pizza. It's delicious! Bread with sweet stuff is good already (nutella, jam, whatever floats your boat), but on a pizza base it's another level. My favourite is when they do it like a calzonne, and inside you have hazelnut chocolate with whole hazelnuts! So yummy! Chocolate with fruits in general is super good on pizza dough. There's nothing weird about that. x) Actually desert risotto is called "riz au lait" in France. Rice cooked in milk. Extremely common to find it in french restaurants. And before anyone asks, desert pasta also exists! x)

In America at pizza Ranch they have cactus bread which is a pizza with strudel topping and icing on it.

Easiest way to make really good desert pizza. Use infused olive oil. There's a great shop here that sells a wide variety of high quality infused olive oils. My goto when desert pizza is calling, blood orange infused crust with Nutella, blood orange sections, caramelized bananas and home made vanilla ice custard.
