G Gundam was the only Gundam series I really liked. The level of nationalistic stereotypes was so ridiculous and fun. Canada had a lumberjack Gundam, Holland's Gundam was a windmill and Egypt's Gundam and pilot were both mummies.. also, Chibodee Crocket. Good times.
Mother jokes aside, I really like how Trish looks when paired with Dante in this game. The long blonde hair vs the short silver, the red with black as a secondary vs the black with skin tone as a secondary - everyone in this game looks great.

I think the reason why Dante likes Nero isn't just because he sees Virgil in him, but also himself. He not only gets the chance to spend time with a living family member again, but also to be a father. This probably doesn't suit Dante's character, but I feel like he always yearned to have a family of his own since he lost his family. Yet he didn't pursue it because he feels like no one should fall in love with him since he thinks he is a monster.
He's also afraid of getting others into danger. His family was hunted down by Mundus, other demons hate his bloodline and his job as a demon hunter is dangerous by itself. If the history was to repeat itself and he had to witness death/loss of his loved ones for, like, fourth time, he may not be able to handle it. (Also, having someone on his power level go through a mental breakdown sounds like a recipe for disaster.)

I get why it's somewhat of a reluctance but I'd say to play on easy and use items and go slow if you ever get the chance to try em out. I totally used items and shit when I first played dmc3, and then I learned how to play that way so I didn't need them anymore.
@@matilyn_rf The worst part about character action games is how much is locked away when you first start. You basically start at 1% of the full move list. It's nice that you can get to 50%-70% pretty quickly though.
Just like with everything, a little practice and you can play decently if not fantastic. You’ll be like ‘one more mission’ if you’re having fun with them.
Really cool note, at the end of the Dante fight, Nero disarms Dante and goes for the impale, just like Vegil did on the top of Temen Ni Gru in the Vergil 1 fight, but this time Dante knows how to counter that move.
"I know he doesn't use Pandora before DMD." You think that. But when you do NG+ LDK as your second playthrough, try telling yourself that when Dante's first move in Mission One is the laser cannon.
@@VaSoapman I wouldn't consider LDK a higher difficulty than DMD, I believe it's SoS with more enemies, meanwhile on DMD they have more health, they are more aggresive and have DT.
@@VaSoapman LDK is not a higher difficulty tier than DMD, The enemy aggression and stats are that of SoS. Even with the higher enemy count it doesn't come close to DMD. Those DTed chimera assaults/fausts/altos will ruin your day way more than a hundred normal enemies can.
@@VaSoapman That's just incorrect. You can breeze through LDK no problem. There's a reason you can jump into it immediately and not have to unlock it like DMD.
To those who don’t know music history, kyrie is named after kyrie eleison, or a music piece that is played during church, that (correct me if I’m wrong) is played throughout church as an underlying emphasis on the worship. Basically it’s the background music in church

Dante is actually really susceptible to snatch into buster whenever he's in the middle of an attack, which includes when he uses Ebony and Ivory to counter your shots. Simply shooting at him to make him do the same and then immediately snatching him to you for an easy buster grab makes this fight into a total cake walk regardless of the difficulty.
Jose Ramirez I played DMC4 SE tonight and you can still mash grab to extend the grabs that allow it. Non mash with the lance guys last 2 revs and mashing goes to 4-5 revs
If you add another button to the light (jump), medium (attack), and heavy (buster) fighting stick that Woolie is using, his brain will literally explode.
Oh man a challenge with these flying enemies w/o much to do except dodge them...unless you had some sort of Charge shot to take them out of the air...if only.

the bias and love for Nero they have is so obvious and stand offish with Nero ACTUALLY screeching about his girlfriend all the time he is the cool one unlike Dante who really only has one line with and even then Dante makes it clear in DMC1 he has never considered Eva and Trish to be remotely the same person
The secret mission is extra bullshit cause when you switch to Dante in like the next mission, he can literally just airdash to the blue orb from the second platform rendering the entire thing pointless.
Since Woolie brought it up, remember how the Red Queen was said to have been modeled after the daughter of the Hive's head programmer who also created the T-virus to cure her illness, but then she got retconned as being modeled after the daughter one of Umbrellas founders who REALLY created the T-virus to cure HIS daughter who, by the way, was Alice the whole time? It's baffiling how a film series can have so many contridictions despite being made by the same guy.
I just remembered, you can actually cancel Nero's Devil Trigger during his long grab animations, and still receive the bonus damage and, I think, summon swords, while preserving his meter. There are layers to this punk kid.
@@PolarPhantom While I agree that this is factually what Woolie said, IT'S LITERALLY SWAPPING DT for GUN. Of all possible changes, this would take a few minutes/attempts to figure out. Hell, charging for charge shot 3 on the trigger while max-acting on the bumper is super convenient.
For Secret Mission 07, you can super cheese it. Walk just enough to trigger the 3 mephistos, then work your way back to the ground, kill them all and wait a bit for the platforms to finish their cycle. Then just trigger the platforms again and DON'T fall.

@@Kaliospectre donguri is damn good at playing Dante, but honestly there's so much cancelling happening that Dante isn't really getting to style on the enemies, so he isn't really my favorite to watch. Gonna have to check out the other guy.

Falling from a 9/10 for the last episodes of Beast wars to 4/10 episode one of Beast machines. Maybe it had an original source material I've never heard of and Beast Machines story was Original Content. Anyway, every show has to know when to stop before they taint their own content. Apparently the Beast Machines people didn't understand that though. Anymore whenever a show is on for more than a few years I would almost beg for them to stop and only come back to it if they really believe they have something special otherwise the quality WILL fall. Inevitably becoming a disappointment.
@@parker469a The dark, bland and boring cities in which Beast Machines took place also didn't help. Quite a departure from the far more lively, diverse and vibrant setting that was Earth.
parker469a I mean I enjoyed Beast Machines when disregarding that it was a continuation, but it had a bunch of plotholes and some really ugly designs, I was into the whole edgy aspect of it, but OG Beast Wars was indeed way way better just for having Dinobot
I feel like Dante wasn’t even out of breath at all, and was just trying to boost Nero’s confidence. Look how fast he just stopped being out of breath XD, meanwhile Nero sounds like he ran a fuckin marathon sprinting the whole time.
They did such a good job with that Dante fight, how he rolls your shit and stingers the fuck out of you or Trickster dashes through your swings and Stinger Million Stabs you. It's perfect.

@@HaitokuNoHonoo1000 Well if you think about it, Sparda used his own power to seal hell away from earth, which I guess his power flows through Yamato and the amulets as they are the keys to opening hell. Since Force Edge is the embodiment of Spardas power, we see this with DMC 1 where Dante turns into Spardas form using Force Edge, also Arkham changes into Sparda until his body can no longer control the power. I think if anyone is able to control Spardas power besides the Brothers, they will essentially be able to "call" Yamato to them. But this is just all theory not cannon.
tbh I had totally forgotten that Sanctus had Force Edge with him at the time so I didn't even considered that. But it kept bugging me after Vergil doing what he does in 5 to Nero. I'll just have to keep assuming that Vergil is going for maximum assholeness until the game comes out

Anyone notice that the move Nero uses at the end of the fight is the same one Veril uses to impale Dante in dmc3, only Dante is able to dodge it this time.

32:58 Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that’s a reference to DMC3 Vergil 1’s ending. By now Dante’s gotten disarmed by that sword and impaled so he knows what to look for.
That second secret mission what I do is I spawn in the mephistos then turn around to the start point and kill them. It's smooth sailing when the enemies are dead.
