Matt on controls, unequipping Scan, not having Cure in the shortcut menu and wasting Potions just after Donald heals him? 🎶 LET ME FACE, LET ME FACE, LET ME FACE MY FEARS 🎶
"I don't think I have the AP to Equip this" *2 AP available* "Let me equip this to Goofy" *Out of AP* Wha- But I- Just- *...BOI WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU CHILD?*
@@EmoRagDollz69 That's the second game. Atlantica is actually pretty tolerable in this game, if you know where to go it's one of the shorter worlds. So, in other words, expect 20 episodes of Atlantica.
Pat's impatience has caused him a bunch of his own reading failures. As Mark Twain said, "the man who will not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read."
At this point I kind of want a No Scan, No Cure run. Like, if Matt can somehow manage to bumble his way successfully through the game with a bunch of handicaps that would legit be impressive.
Realistically speaking, it would also negatively impact how he sees the game and its design considering he doesn't even know how hard he's handicapping himself.
Why is Matt confused as to whether or not skills can be equipped? Does he not realize that the giant AP gauge next to the skill list shows him how much AP he has left to work with? He acts like he's taking a shot in the dark every time he attempts to equip a skill and just has to remember for himself how much AP he has. Has he just not even noticed that each skill has an AP cost associated with it? Like, I'm not trying to be a shit right now. I just honestly want to understand what is happening.
He's really only half paying attention if even. Most of the dialogue going on isn't about the game itself if you haven't noticed. Really he's just button mashing his way through while having a conversation, much like the Minecraft LP.
Aladdin - "to the desert! Let's go!" 5 minutes pass Matt - " where are we supposed to go, maybe the desert?" Absolute gold. Also, obligatory equip scan comment!
Part of the reason that boss fight was so bad was because you kinda went at it wrong you could of gotten on top of the head by jumping on its nose when it buried its face in the sand
yes, they're supposed to be always a set distance behind you when you're standing still, and if something is there, they try to jump on top of it... but then they're trying to land on something too small for them to land on... thus the jumping
Besides the notable Robin Williams, they got everybody from the original film, so basically everybody from the shows and sequel films since Dan Castellaneta is here.
As of fighting the cave Donald deaths 15 Goofy deaths 7 Aladin deaths 0 I like that in this game rather than just adapting the movie and sticking sora and the gang in it they kinda just take liberties with the story. Like Jafar isnt just perving over Jasmine in this game, its part of his evil plan, Clayton doesnt go murder crazy for gorillas, he gets killed and turned into a heartless. Its kinda neat actually
You know what's funny? Woolie helps explain how to beat the Pot Centipede boss by reading straight from the guide, without Matt asking first. You telling me that guide doesn't say to get on the Cave of Wonders' face?
I don't get why people are getting so angry at Matt and Woolie. Yeah, they're ignoring game mechanics that would make the game easier on them. But they're still moving at a pretty impressive pace. The fact that they're already at Agrabah at part 14 means that they are at least making adequate progress. So long as they make it through the game at a reasonable pace, I see no harm in them playing it their own way.
thelordoflemonz I lol'd at "moving at an impressive pace." They're nearly 8 hours in already. These world's are incredibly short, and it's still taking them a long time to get through them.
Hearing Homer Simpson doing a portion of the movie spiel in a "I CLAPPED WHEN I SAW THE THING" moment (again) just about had _me_ T-posing with a blank face.
Matt and Woolie ranking the backup the different princesses have, saying that Jasmine's assists are the strongest contenders, and then saying "Belle's got nothing, she's just got silverware!" oh boy they're forgetting... forgetting a certain BEAST of a man...
Watching Aladdin as a kid, I thought "Why would no one use the wish to free the genie? He seems so nice." Watching it as an adult, i think "The genie is too powerful. It's too big of a risk to free him in case he turns evil."
Nowadays, genies are too much for me to believe.I mean, you're telling me i get three wishes from an all-powerful being and SOMEHOW no one's wished for anime girls to be real? That's bullshit man
The smart thing to do would be to wish the genie was a powerless human free of the lamp. That way you technically keep your end of the bargain without dooming the universe.
I think Matt might be under the impression that the skills which cost more AP are more valuable, which I guess isn't a bad rule of thumb for a lot of cases in games.
A _lot_ of people have, certainly. We'll just have to see how long it takes for the avalanche of "you're doing it wrong" messages to travel through time to reach them in the next recording session.
Okay, I've tried to be optimistic about Matt being on controls (and I'll keep trying), but if they're going to start calling the game bad when he's playing in the most illogical, clearly unintended way, maybe they should seriously consider handing the controls off to Woolie, since I'm sure he'll settle into these mechanics a lot better. Even if they just switch who's controlling each session or after every death, that'd be fine, maybe even better, as they can both get a feel for the game and give each other information that way.
Man i cant wait to get to the end of the game where they talk about how this game would be better with shortcut buttons and a healing spell. And if it didnt require such CRAZY UNORTHODOX methods to fight bosses
For the record, the Cave of Wonders fight isn't supposed to be even half as annoying as you guys made it. You're supposed to stay on the ground and use "guard" to parry the lasers and knock them back until he puts his head down and THEN climb onto him. It's not that its a bad fight, it's that you haven't been using the parry mechanic. There's a lot of fights in KH1 and KH2 that are gonna be super annoying if you don't use the parry mechanic.
@@parker469a 11year old scrubby me couldn't beat clock phantom (so close so many times) and so I quit... I've been meaning to replay the game as an adult.
hell, if they just climbed the god damn neck, you know, the things that look like STAIRS, they would have been done in half that time. but nope, try to jump up a sheer surface with weird camera angles and then blame the bossfight. this lp is going to be a complete shitshow by their own intent just so they can go 'lololololol kh suuucks' like they have been meming since the start.
@@AfroMetalMizu Yeah, it's not as bad for me in this as it has been in a few past LPs but I'm still having some moments where I want to toss my shoes at the screen. I didn't think you usually got bothered by their bad playing though.
But in 2, isn't that same merchant running a store and being involved in cutscenes, and shown to be a total greedy jobber? Or is that a different merchant?
So the issue now is that this game is old enough, these guys are old enough, and they've been playing long enough that they should have a grasp of things. This game does have a few problems which are addressed in it's seven or so sequels, but for now let's try to equip Scan and read a couple of menus. Or they can stop playing and play Dante's Inferno. Just saying.
@@galgow Really? I'll watch it there, but I'd prefer it be here. This feels like they're a bit out of their element and I'd hate for it to turn into TMS where every episode has 100 or so downvotes because these two bumblekings are busy bumbling around talking about who's the hottest princess while getting lost in Neverland.
people who got to the end of TMS got to be a part of the FE13000 i think anyone who can muscle through this one deserves membership in the Order of the Parkinglot
And in this episode I guess Matt forgot that he can jump and attack because every single time the Cave of Wonders had its face near the ground he didn't jump up to attack it when it was within range, instead trying to climb on its back which is still a decent idea...WHEN ITS NOT FLAILING AROUND! This is why I get annoyed at LPs like this, they play like shit and for anyone who either hasn't played the game yet or its been a while and they don't quite remember it, they start to think the game is just really shitty and awkward with the boss fight, not realizing that Matt is just playing very poorly so it gives a good game a shit rep because popular internet personalities are making simple boss fights incredibly more complicated than they need to be. You can target the eyes and jump to attack them when they are close enough. With them being targeted, Sora will lock on to them so you will get hits. Scan will also show you their life so you know how well you are doing so equip it. Fire heat seeks enemies so it would be way better to use that than Thunder. You also now have Cure which can heal you as long as you have magic, you are wasting potions when you have essentially a free heal. You are making this game a LOT harder than it is and blaming it for your mistakes. So far this series has its ups and down, I am glad you are having fun but it gets kind of annoying when you just refuse to try new abilities. Hell, you've used thunder on the yellow wizard Heartless despite them being thunder enemies themselves, I think using their element on them actually heals them. Pay attention to the game, take time to learn it. It will make the experience for everyone, including you, a lot better because you aren't struggling with easy as shit segments for most of the episode and you can just sit back and have fun.
@@fakeigniz13 For cure and Scan, they tell you in the menus, all they'd have to do is read. For the fire thing and Sora going towards the targeted item, for the former, it'd be found out right away with just trying it, for the second its really obvious that the character would go for what is targeted so yeah, just paying a little attention would help. For fighting the Cave of Wonder, the fact that he is so close to he ground and you know you can attack in the air, maybe it would be easier to hit him now instead of when he's moving around quickly. For the lightning mage, I am pretty damn sure every game with element mechanics has it to where if you use the enemy's element on them, it has little to no effect so it should just be common knowledge, and given the fact that they are yellow and use lightning, you'd think lightning would be the last thing to use. Basically, all this info is shit they could easily look up in the game itself, shit they could notice just by paying attention to the game for two seconds, or should be obvious because the game spells it out for you. I am not asking them to be pro master elite gamers, I am not even that. Its just frustrating seeing them get baffled by such simple things and making the game harder for themselves. I watch this both because I like the game and I like them, so seeing them have fun on a fun game would be very enjoyable for me, but the way they are playing, they are going to have a rough time, likely be annoyed at the game and slog through it, take forever to get to different parts and from an outside perspective (people who haven't played the game), the game will look like shit. I am not mad because they aren't playing it my way or playing it like masters, I am mad because I feel they would be having a lot more fun with it and an easier time if they just took a second to breath and learn what the abilities do and just pay attention to the game a little more, that is it. As long as they are having fun, I am happy but it doesn't seem too fun struggling against a boss like they did.
Thunder isn't as strong as you think it is, fire is usually more useful one versus one. For example, shooting balls of fire into the tiger cave's eyes.
Pay more attention to your equipment. You've got a better accessory in your inventory, and an accessory that would allow you to equip more abilities, currently on goofy.
The cave of wonders fight would not be nearly as annoying of you just walked onto his nose when he buries his face, like your supposed to, I'm loving this playthrough, but as a die-hard Kingdom Hearts fan, it hurts
Matt doesn't appear to even understand what AP is. He has no idea why skills sometimes equip and sometimes will not and appears to be just taking shots in the dark at equipping skills. I got $10 on Episode 24.
Aladdin: Give em a little taste of the GOOD SHIT! **A massive beam of light shoots out, wiping out the Heartless. Sora eagerly turns around to face Aladdin.** **Aladdin is just leaning against the wall, picking something out of his teeth.** Aladdin: This ain't no free show, Munny first kid. Gotta keep one jump ahead of the breadline, and one swing ahead of the sword.
The best thing is that Aladdin's move in KH2 is you and him cutting the heartless but the camera fades to black and the cuts hit the screen itself. You basically don't see his move there either, hahaha
@@Valiant_Requiem I had forgotten about that, but you're absolutely right. Aladdin is basically the FFX Yojimbo summon, except it's actually impossible to pay him enough Munny to see his moves.
Daily reminder that this game that was made for children is utterly stumping these two grown adults, both of which were QA testers at that, I love these guys
When I was a kid, I thought the random guy Jafar got to go into the Cave of Wonders in the beginning of the movie was actually transformed into the Magic Carpet for trying to enter. It made enough sense to me.
"Iago is not a stealthy creature!" How can y'all forget that he stole the lamp for Jafar in the movie by imitating Jasmine's voice to lure Aladdin away and then stealing the lamp from under the pillow or hat or wherever he hid it? That scene was hilarious!
At least the random fireball hell that was Halloween town is MEANT to be a pain in the ass....the cave of wonders shoots at you so slow it's like it's begging to be parried or something....
Honestly that's the way I am taking it. Instead of only looking at what they are doing wrong it is quite interesting to see what they are doing right. Like despite everyone's complaining, Matt has been doing pretty well with blowing through the game.
@@frickthefuckoff Cure? Never heard of it. Maybe they'll get it in one of the coming worlds. Oh well, least they have potions that lock you in place and make it impossible to move or continue to mind your surroundings by moving the camera. Please kill me...
There's a little thing on the right side of the abilities screen that tells you how much AP you have available to use and how much you have in total. It is shown as "available/max" on the right side of the screen in a little box with the character's name and the letters "AP".
I don't know why everyone is complaining about the way the guys are playing the game. They are doing about as well as I was first time playing the game. It took me 4 hours to get of the first Island. To be fair, I was 8 at the time and hardly knew any English. But still.
last episode people complained matt didn't equip magnet and scan, and people got mad this episode matt equips magnet but not scan, and people got mad basically, people just want to be mad
@darklordster do you often come to this channel for quality gameplay? I mean after years of these guys failing to play children's games i would think people got used to the fact they fucking suck at any rate when did matt ACTIVELY push away the idea of being better at the game? whenever something like this happens in other LPs, they look at tweets or yt comments and go "okay so you guys have been telling us to to [thing] so we can play the game better" and then they do it
i was around that age too and did much worse than them even with the strategy guide xD but the issue is that they should just read their comments for simple effective tips
Jasmine doesn't just hide behind a couple boxes in a bright blue getup. She does that, then goes, "hello? who's out there??" to the first people who walk by.
Welcome back to Disney May Cry. Sorry to say guys, but you don't get your devil triggers until KH2. P.S. I am fully convinced that Matt was sent to punish us for our sins.
Kristen C Are they? 95% of the commentary is talking about Disney movies, and the other 5% is complaining about mechanics that are easily solved if you pay attention.
Matt bumble fucks on a tiger head; Navigator Woolie fails to tell Matt about any of the abilities, quick slots and healing spells he could be using right now. The audience continuously lose themselves to Darkness as their hearts are ripped from them one by one. Will our heroes find the light that is looking up basic menu commands? Tune in next time to Bumble Hearts HD Remix: Please use Cure and Put Scan back on Edition!
I have never been so excited for these guys to make more episodes just so I can read the comments of future episodes and see that they still dont know basic math skills for the AP, to equip cure and scan and just when they figure it out they get to Atlantica and the whale and just... strap in boys this is gonna be a 500 parter...
6:41 Excuse me, how are you gonna mention the efficiency of Lion King's cast without mentioning Rafiki? The mystic, life coaching, Bruce Lee mimicking, baboon is pretty top tier.
24:30 It was originally intended for the narrator at the beginning of Aladdin to be revealed as being Genie, retelling the tale of his friend for a new generation. Robin Williams even does the voice of the guy.
so they think, that they need to climb the head to hit the eyes when the cave's head buries his face in the sand instead of just hitting the eyes when they're down? boys, plz
Gonna have to do what I did for TMS and make this LP into a podcast until their next recording session. Anyone else feel a part of their soul die in those last few frames where matt's going for the potion at full MP?
