Dry Wood and Oil are definitely the most efficient ones. You get tons of dry wood while farming insulated wood. For every resin you get out of your dryer, you get 2 insulated wood. However, as soon as you have a carpenter 3 or higher, you only need one to craft the insulated wood. So for every insulated wood you farm, you get an extra dry wood for fuel. Oil is a bit harder to come by but if you set up a huge fish trap base with fluid presses, you can easily get more than 10k a day. Even with a smaller fish trap base, you will have enough Oil.
Don't make the dry wood for fuel. It can be handy if you find it, but to make it in the dryer takes bark for fuel, 1 wood, and 40 seconds. Since bark burns for 40 seconds, that's 2 bark. In other words, you use up 50 seconds worth of fuel to get the dry wood that will burn for 48 seconds.
It amazes me when I see new Streamers using branches everywhere as fuel at the start of the game. When I hit level 60, I typically have 3× large chests full of branches (these are single resource chests, not mixed), so by then I'm burning branches everywhere. I hate branches, as much as, bark, and feathers. Their use in recipes is so low, as to feel pointless.
@@bloody_joker12bloodyjoker72 I get the bark from those and toss it in the dryer to make dry wood for everything that burns. The coal I throw in the press for the extra tar.
Coal can still be really good. since the silvermine gives you loads. sometimes its wise to not setup a fish base (in pvp) so that fish base wont giveaway your base locations.
