RU-vidrs react to Volo's betrayal. I'm honestly surprised you didn't have that before this.

At the very least, not consecutive stages. The closest before this point would be the raid battle against Zygarde, as it turns into 100% form which (as a result of having a higher HP stat) heals a good chunk of its health upon changing. Not all of it though.

I seem to remember Ranger having a boss fight in multiple stages.

@@zorack93 I had assumed that Bob was referring to instances like Giratina, where the stages of the battle occur within the same battle, as seen with how Giratina gets its turn immediately after it changes form. If we are talking in less specific terms, then yes that certainly does count.

I guess eternatus technically has multiple stages but it’s such a forgettable fight it barely counts.

I love the no healing. I might have complained if BW did it with N and Ghetses back to back, that would have been brutal, but this is awesome.

@@nousername191 speaking of BW, I hope we get a legends game for it AND we see the long-awaited hidden form of all three dragons combined. It would be cool to see another surprise 3rd phase with no healing inbetween

@@nousername191 at least with N and Ghetsis they don’t stop you, go “lemme heal your Pokémon up” and then continue, you just get to the next fight and they’re at 100%

@@CraigOrangeSoda some play with audio only being recorded, that way the audio doesn't get caught by the microphone. As a result, they might not hear music.

@The Devil is Giratina I can tell you what I felt because I already had two things spoiled: 1). The Final Boss was Volo, 2). He had a Giratina I was pleasantly surprised when he brought out Giratina as his seventh, then ultra giddy when the metal mix busted out and he transformed - the latter of which I had literally no idea about

Your right but also a decent amount of these people are on stream or they're filming so they probably have the actual switch volume down so they don't immediately notice or hear the music playing but at the same time I feel like that makes the reaction better when they start celebrating then they look back at the game and he's still there

Didnt they fix this in the patch though? I would need to recheck but I believe they had a patch fix for it, and he will still be able to do it.

There the best reactions ever has I bet we were all like that while battling it & great thing is for those struggling to beat it players can see which ones other players used to help them so it benefits us all by seeing what seems to of been the best pokemons to select in my view

I kinda was mid 80s when I fought Volo and Giratina, but that's on me as I was trying to complete the dex, which leveled my pokemon more. And then used grit items, making the battle extremely easy as all my pokemon were one shotting Volo's.

Same dude, i walked in completely blind and barely managed to finesse my way out of it while being on level and no having to heal spam or anything. In hindsight after realizing how insane the fight actually is, i definitely got extremely lucky

Now do it without Grit items

I also did beat Volo first time I only had my Ghost and Dark type Pokémon remaining when Giratina appeared. I defeated Altered Forme first try but Origin Forme destroyed me because Samurott was the only one left at that point and it used Aura Sphere. Second time I used items to keep Dialga and Palkia alivr

It’s wild lol but I don’t think any of them even expected to fight Volo let alone Giratina back to back

@@Unison23 Even still, it’s always wise to have healing items and healing item ingredients handy.

@@icarusuniverse2673, they didn’t want to fill up their inventories. They expected to obtain more than they needed, but at the same time, they put useful ingredients in storage.

@@Colby_Cheese you can still use items in the box to craft things, just only at base camp. Also, you think a boss fight with three phases in a pokemon break would heal your team at some point, but NOPE!

I beat them first try too but oh boy it was close. I beat his team with only my Porygon Z standing and assumed it would heal me while he was yammering, but NOPE. Good thing I had stocked up on max revives and had a Snorlax tanky enough to survive for a few rounds while I healed everyone else!

I managed it first try, but it was cuz I was a little overleveled for it and had just used up a bunch of the grit items on my team. When Giratina changed forms I only had an almost dead Braviary in the back and the full health Decidueye I took out just to do “the final hit” with a Brave Bird. Decidueye then proceeded to tank, like, 2 hits, while I revived Zoroark and Basculegion and then swapped to Zoroark to absorb the Shadow Force. Despite my advantage, it was still so clutch and it was the most fun I’ve had with a Pokémon battle.

Same thing for me. Three Pokémon alive after Volo (even if one was almost dead) and won first try. I only had one revive left at the end of the fight. My Walrein (dunno if this is the correct english name) earned mvp against Giratina fight, being able to deal great dammage and not die too quickly.

I got to the 2nd phase on my first try, but still didn't quite manage to win even though I'd known it was coming. I even remember that fight turn-by-turn and my slip up (I think) was not having anything on Goodra to hit the Garchomp super effectively. I swapped it out for something else in the second attempt and got by with little issue, but still such a pleasure to see so many people get caught off guard. Even knowing was what going to happen, being slightly over levelled, and with with most stats at 6 or higher, it was still a satisfying exchange on that first failed attempt

I beat them first try because I had a maxed out lvl 100 Umbreon, which ended up being the only surviving member

same though i admit i did stock up on revitalizers because i was terrified of any post game battle after some of the fights and didn't have the patience to level up more lol, my team was on same level and i barely made it out of the volo fight alive, then it was desperately clinging onto zoroark for dear life because i didnt have any fairy type

Same. I did a fair amount of dex grinding, so my main team was all in the late 60/early 70 level. Though they were all standard Pokémon because i dont like using legendaries, it feels cheaty to me. Still managed to beat Volo & Gira on first try with only a few potions in the Giratina phase. Even though I didnt struggle nearly as much as others did, it's still the best pokémon fight gamefreak has ever designed imo.

Same. I had level 70s for the fight, but combining Volo's fight where you will get revenge killed a lot with a two phases of a really strong Legendary that's almost impossible to take down in one hit is absolutely brutal. If I had been crit one more time, I would've been finished

I would like more of these battles just to see cocky players being destroyed, although what I would like is that they add an hard mode for experienced players, so they can show their skills... or the lack of them.

Also technicality, cause Giratina isn't one of his pokemon.

i expected an item for the second form after you catch giratina, but not necessarily seeing it during the fight itself xD
