How about a video how you mount your GoPros to your sled? Out front recording back and from rear recording forward. And all your camera gear including drone, what you use to edit etc. would be great to see how you decided to run it all and why. Thanks 🙏

I messaged Matt and he messaged me back that he had to modify his bumper mount to his specs!!! Just sent him a message to do a video on the materials he uses to modify it!!! I think the rear bumper is the coolest shot!!!

For my AERO type helmet, it has a defined edge at the lower side of the helmet making attachment of a Sena communication system difficult with the provided mounts. I modified my mount a bit and used multiple layers of 2 sided gorilla tape to elevate and balance the Sena attachment. Then once it was attached I used gorilla goo, much like shoe goo to surround the levels of gorilla tape and make it nice and smooth. Very secure and looks rather professionally done if I do say so. LOL.

This was a great idea! I’ve been using the chesty mount but while leaning or doing dynamic off trailing, the view would be looking down at the sled and that caused a lot of lost footage. It’s a shame I have a modular helmet with no visor. Maybe I’ll look into the chin mount

Ah the media mod does work with lavalier mics. I thought the older GoPro mic adapter was the only one that worked with these non-powered mics. I guess Gopro support were wrong. I did ask them too. I just got a Gopro 10 and setting it up on my helmets so I've been researching for a few weeks now. Good setup!

I did the shoegoo thing, first ride when it was like -25 it broke. I just re shoegoo'd it, and then added some gorilla glue and haven't had it budge since!

Shoe goo is the best thing ever. I use that shit on everything. Fixed up my rain gear for work and never had a problem. And I was wondering when you were gonna get a 509 helmet. Nice

I’ve been wearing the titian for two seasons now. I don’t know if I could go back to a traditional helmet. I suppose you have to change with the 509 sponsorship but they couldn’t get you a helmet until now with all their supply issues. My buddy ordered new 509 stuff from head to toe. He ordered it in November and it came in last week. Everything but the helmet came in except the helmet.

Did you have to do anything special to get the mic to work with your GoPro? I bought exactly what you posted for the mod and mic and have Hero 9 as well. I tried both the external mic and external mic + setting but get a TON of static background and can barley hear me. Also I the 3-4 pin adapter to get any audio at all. Also any idea where to get a cold weather battery in Canada? Thanks bro

Thanks for the video. Just wondering what mic your using? I put mine in a similar spot on a 509 helmet but had some clearance and icing issues (condensation got trapped there and created an ice cube). Just wondering if you maybe found a smaller one that might work better, thanks again for posting.

Ok. So gave up on GoPro back with my hero 4 due to connectivity problems with the app and remote not connecting and all those troubles. Is connecting to the app or remote a problem with the new GoPros? I’m considering coming back to GoPro brand.

If your running power from your sled for your heated goggles you can run a voltage regulator to step down the 12 volts to power the go pro. This is how I run mine. Since I have a power cable from the sled to my goggles I also run a head lamp and go pro off the same power source. No more crap battery life.

@ElbowsInNumbers so since my skidoo (and most have a 12 volt plug somewhere on the sled) I have my goggles hooked to said 12 volt plug. Also on the same plug is a automotive cigarette plug in type USB charged. I dipped it in liquid tape and I use that for the power for the go pro. The wires for the power for the go pro running parallel to my goggle cord to my helmet. So not there is 12v for the goggles, and 3.5v for my go pro. I suppose one could run the power converter up on the helmet and run only one cord to plug in and "t" in to it at your helmet and now have the 2 different powers. I took the USB power adapter apart to make it smaller. So that's why I dipped the board to water proof it. It no longer looks like a cigarette lighter plug.
