Honestly even if fuel and parts weren’t a problem, a tank is probably not bright. But an infantry fighting vehicle is probably a good way to go. Much more nimble, so it’s easier to not get mobbed. But you still have relatively heavy weapons and can fire at small targets effectively. Still a bear without a team, but it think you’re better off.

If you're also proficient in firing it accurately and without hurting yourself or your hearing, a high calibre revolver gives you a degree on concealment as well as stopping power for monsters. A squad automatic weapon like an M249 would also be a solid weapon due to just how much raw firepower you would have with infinite ammo
This is what I'd bring, personally. It's concealable with a bag of holding, it's a high volume of fire so if you just lay on a monster enough it'll die.
But with a squad weapon like the m249 would you also have infinite barrels to swap out because if you go full brrrrt you're gonna need more than 1. (M240B is better imo, 7.62 FTW)
that would be the Gunner Feat, which also lets you not take disadvantage on firing on someone in closed quarters (5 foot rule), and i'd pick the FBR 40-75, stopping power in a revolver (unofficially it stands for 'f*cking big revolver' as it comes in other varieties like .500 S&W).
@@IllithaI'd take a browning, hurts like he'll but infinite 30-06 will stop anything short of a dragon. Plus its light enough to hide in a bag of holding so having to lug it around outside of combat isn't nearly as bad.
A Mark Twain book "Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's court" is pretty interesting, the main character just acts like a wizard while using guns he made, and explosives.
For low magic, 10mm pistol. For high magic, probably an AR with thermals sighted out to 100 yards. Because in low magic, concealment is key. In high magic, the common folk will think of you as just a fancy artificer. Your biggest issue is gonna be mages, who you absolutely wanna keep at range. Thermals are for invis ambushes
Could get the same effect with shotgun with a low powered scope, like an acog or something. Gives you versatility for range, numerous ammo types and stopping power across the board. Won't have the range of a rifle, but with slugs it can get pretty close.

Honestly i would like the potential adaptability a shotgun offers: birdshot. Buckshot. Big heavy slugs. Silver birdshot for stuff like werewolves. Salt rounds for unholy beings. Metallic K slugs for burning big monsters from the inside and perhaps some fleshy undead
honnestly this is super smart, especialy since we don't know the rules of the infinate ammo, is it just infinate ammo or infinate of the last ammo you fired, meaning you only need one (or two) of each shell AND it fairly concealbe, the only downside is Range, but a shell designed for range would fix that issue right up
i would probably pick a folding stock AK-saiga; it is reasonably concealable, but it being a 12-gauge (and thus having numerous infinite ammo options ?), it is also reasonably powerful against most foes that an adventurer would be facing off against, especially at mid-to-higher XP levels.

Depends on the edition of D&D you're sent to. 3rd or earlier: Protection from Normal Missiles, and Wind Wall, are both spells that will absolutely RUIN your ability to use a gun effectively.
Counter offer: do the opposite and get a flak cannon. Nobody can really get close to you to even bother and if they do get close it’s a simple congratulations and tell them it’s an honor to bestow the magic item or something. Then get rid of a vital component so it breaks apart on usage.

I would think combat superiority with infinite ammo definitely comes down to sustained rate of fire. You'd want a good machinegun or at least an automatic assault rifle.
Something with good range, yet crowd control, so modern with full auto comes to mind. Something you could, if need be, use to take out a target at longer range, preferably higher calibre to deal with high armor. Or, something more quiet, like a subsonic rifle firing through an integrated suppressed barrel
personally i would probably gravitate towards a shotgun. adventurers tend to get mixed up in a wide variety of situations and face off with a lot of different types of monsters, so i personally feel that having the ability to change load depending on what you're up against would come in handy. standard buckshot for most things, dragon's breath for trolls and the like, slugs for tough hides, etc.
I've also been thinking of an idea where an alchemist brews potions and makes them as different loads. Like Healing, a Raging, Iron Skin, etc. *Loads a healing slug into shotgun with malicious intent.*
I would go for the FN P90. It's small and compact but also has small rounds that are meant for piercing armor that normal pistol rounds can't peirce, especially if you had green tip rounds.

Would liquid nitrogen gun work? Usually it kinda bounces of your skin especially with quick contact Potion pellets seems too smal to carry any negative effect Lable maker sounds neat, but ar is probably more effective

Elaborate on “infinite ammo”. Do you mean you never have to reload and you can keep shooting forever? I assume not because that would sort of negate the ejecting functionality of a shotgun, unless you want to explain it away with magic which is valid. My initial assumption was that you would have a magic ouch sort of like a bag of holding that carried all the ammunition you could ever want already pre-loaded into the correct magazine. I am extremely biased, but I would pick the P-90. Not only do I love the weapon aesthetically, not only is it easy to maintain because it is so simple to take apart, not only does it have a genius feeding mechanism and a large ammo capacity, but I love it and will choose it over any other weapon.

Well, considering it has unlimited ammo, there has to be some sort of magic that would keep it from tearing itself apart from spamming without reloading forever, but some parts that you would have to fix yourself. That's the way I see it anyhow

When I think about this, it is the most concealable weapon, and the most deadly. Who the hell is gonna expect your attack to be essentially a strike form above that devastates an area
An MG3 with an infinite ammo belt? Sign me up! With a fire rate of 1200 rounds per minute I can pop off 120 attacks every round. (As long as I also have an infinite supply of replacement barrels or better yet an indestructible barrel) And, as someone else has pointed out: A bag of holding makes pretty much any man portable weapon concealable!
The AA-12. It's a fully automatic shotgun, can handle unusual loads like slugs, beanbags, and dragon's breath with no alterations, and as far as guns go, it's pretty straightforward to clean and maintain.

Kriss Vector in .45 ACP. It's biggest weakness is typically how quickly it empties its stock 25 round magazine, but with infinite ammo this is no longer a problem. .45 ACP is a very powerful round, and the Vector's internal recoil compensation makes it feel like a laser pointer compared to most SMGs.
What everyone doesn't understand is their guns fully automatic guns you would not be able to fire those things infinitely your arms would definitely be broken
See I thought about a heavier gun but I'd choose the saw, 18 pounds without the ammo weight vs 85 pounds of the mini. Idk how bullet weight will work or extra barrels and all that.
I've been debating repeating shot in my head about ammo like this, like would it make a perfect copy of the rocket or would it just make something that could be fired but does not have any special nonmagical properties?
@@councilofmuffins9738 this sounds like a DM decision thing. The problem with repeating shot is it doesn’t specify what ammunition it’s being loaded into the infused weapon. It just says “it produces its own, automatically creating one piece of magic ammunition when you make a ranged attack with it” No mention of whether the properties of weapon’s ammo (i.e. rocket launcher go boom) applies So if you’re a DM have fun with exploding repeating shot, if not maybe your DM may or may not allow it. I just mentioned my earlier comment because it’s funny to imagine 😂

Desert Eagle chambered in .50AE Bulky, yes, but it's still possible to conceal, will punch through armor, and also strong enough to drop a person with a decently placed shot, shound of the gun also has a fear/intimidation factor

The anti tank rifle would be a good primary weapon and the secondary weapon would be a sniper rifle and my small arm weapon would be a 45 caliber pistol
Honestly the best thing to bring would probably be an smg that has a suppressor. It’d be annoying to hide but become easier if you acquired a cloak and eventually a bag of holding. The only thing i’m unsure about is if you’d get infinite of the basic ammo, or any ammo you choose. Because if its the latter… you can have so many more options

I have no idea how to maintain a gun, and the scenario doesn't involve me spontaneously learning how, or even getting the appropriate tools. Maintaining a bow is something I know a bit more about, and I favour my chances learning more about how to maintain a bow than how to maintain a modern firearm, in a medieval fantasy setting.
@@mechanicalmoses9387 The point isn't to get as rich as possible. The point is to get enough money to live safely in a world full of monsters and evil wizards and shit. Modern arrows are just nice arrows, I'm not going to get chased down by ambitious conquerors, or power mad artificers for making slightly nicer arrows. Also, if I happen to *lose* my modern weapon, it's usage translates into something in that world. So I can still have a trade.
There's a rifle IRL, if I'm not mistaken it's an AR, that folds in thirds and is small enough to conceal within a decent sized coat or bag, or, in DND I'm sure you could just strap it to your side at that point.
A p-90. It's compact, easy to hide in a travel bag (unless someone casts Detect Metal), ideal for use in tight spaces thanks to the bullpup design, it can be silenced, and ideal for laying down suppressing fire to make a manticore duck, or mow down a swarm of goblins.

My top 3 would be 1.AA12 w/ explosives rounds 2.NTW 20 3.A custom AR ,integrally suppressed, 300blk sub sonic rounds, thermal/night vision optic and a canted redot etc.
Machine pistols and SMGs are actually extremely concealable especially when you take into consideration larger clothing like cloaks heavy jackets or robes making it much easier to conceal them
a B&T SPR 300 if I wanted to go the adventurer route (We have to Remember that guns are REALLY loud. We are used to it now, but when they were first used, they were the loudest thing). For concealability, probably something silly like the FMG-9 or Kel-Tec SUB2000 CQB. Both being foldable submachine guns, they have more firepower than you could realistically need, as well as an Integrated Silencer on the CQB

I just realized a weapon creation/inventory magic is kinda op. Imagine you can summon or create any weapon or vehicle you know especially modern stuff like M249 MG, F35B Vtol or M2 Bradley. use it to solo clear a dungeon or a invading army. And after clearing so many dungeon you find a skill book of "General's Corp" that can summon a Corp size humanoid summon that follows your order. ☠️
My 12 Gauge Remington 870 Shotgun with 9 +1 capacity. Assuming ammo is infinite, I’d have my pick of birdshot, buckshot, and slugs; which would make it excellent for combatting anything at any range under 150 yards. Birdshot/Turkey Loads for flying targets, Buckshot for mostly everything at medium range and closer, and Slugs for farther ranges or for a tanky target where ballistic penetration is key.
My first instinct was a tranq gun infinite use non-lethal weapon sounded great for most uses especially as it's not actually murder. my second and now favorite option is a t-shirt canon like they have at festivals or stuff. unlimited ammo means unlimited t-shirts. which means you could easily sell t-shirts cheaply as a job.

@@silverhawkscape2677 I think a clean shot to the head or two, piercing the brain, is still kinda enough to take out most things. Most D&D weapons don't have even remotely the same penetrative power that an m82 has for example. Even more powerful spells have their kinetic energy spread over a larger area making them less effective against single targets than a bullet
@@narkle9723 Even so, DnD isn't just limited to Physical Damage. A Golem would literally be able to Match a Tank in Durability. There are a lot of Monsters that Are highly resistant or immune to Physical. Unless the guns get enchanted, you still need magic. All the guns do is make it easy to deal with weaker enemies. The higher Tier ones have enough resistances to not make them a Push over.
