Just FYI, the 8840u beats everything when properly setup. I have all the chipsets and it's ahead by 5 to 10 FPS on just about everything thrown at it, especially Intel. Emulators love it, and can play a lot of AAA's on high without any problems. If you try the onexplayer 2 pro 2024v and add all the newest AMD, studio runtime libraries, dx and vulkan drivers, debloat, etc., everything is awesome smooth. Of course it has 32GB that can be shared, so I put down 12GB on the GPU, works out fine. The best might be the battery. The 8840u optimization is absolutely amazing... 3-4 hours at 15w optimized! Nobody can touch that. Hope this helps :)

Great video! I think everyone's top priority when considering a handheld is what you plan on doing with the handheld. Do you strictly plan on using the device as a handheld, dock it at home to your tv/monitor or even a desktop replacement and if that's the case do you plan on hooking up an external graphics card for better performance? You need to consider how many ports and what kind are on your device as far as usb 3, usb 4, usb A and even oculink. These ports and the number of them could make or break your experience with your handheld and may even determine whether you want to keep it or sell it and buy something else, you are better off thinking about what you really want in your handheld before purchasing a product.

Love your channel, the handheld community on RU-vid is so fake with sponsored videos. I have no idea who to believe, but you always kept it objective and honest . Thank you

One question z1 gpu drivers need to be maintained by asus/lenovo. I feel the opposite of what you mentioned in the video is true. GPD has not too much to support. They can release bios update or two, then you have amd drivers and win updates. Last time I checked legion go support page there is graphic driver from dec. I wouldn't want that. Maybe Im wrong and it works differently, someone correct me

Keep it up, chap! I'm so confused about the MSI - why do you think did they went with Intel? Do you think it was based on the future promise of the power gobbling I7?

Intel sold them the chips for really cheap, because they want to get in the market

Ouch that sounds like a real bummer for the MSI Claw. You mentioned FSR was enabled, also on the Claw? How about the intel scaling AI (XeSS)?

You have not mentioned onexplayer. Recently they launched onexplayer x1: 3 in 1 handheld which houses intel ultra 155. What are your thoughts? Performance is being compared to that of z1 ex.
