I've switched to something like this and its pretty nice. The armor doesn't make as much of a difference itself, but these heavy armor pieces actually have gameplay advantages that no other armor does, and that's where the meta is going I think.
Yeah I strayed away from calling it meta cause of the cost but other time like you said the benefits from certain armor pieces, definitely will become meta.
@@Mahazioth Also remember that because you're far past the point where armor scaling is throttled, you're better off with scoutwright and armor redux kit over anything else.
My original comment decided not to post I guess. Anyways. For siptah off the top of my head, I know you can delve for some interesting armor, we always used black knight and frost giant garb on thralls. You also have access to vault armors like the wolfmen. I chose not to say "meta" because the reason this set is special is the added benefits the armor itself gives you. Armor value, while high and looks nice really doesn't do much. Siptah offers a lot of unique options, aspect of the bat, that helmet grants 60 hp. If you want to go heavy just make sure that heavy armor has nice benefits, otherwise try to mix and match pieces that give you the best buffs and advantages for your build.
When I played on the training server I would use a heavy set to reduce dmg. Not tried on this new patch as I ain't played it....Dragon Bone Heavy chest and legs maybe a cheaper option??? As you said with Jhil gloves it made a difference, plus the Demon Spider Helmet from Siptah also worked. Boots I used Silent Legion or God Breaker for extra enc and switch out the helmet depending on what I was doing, so sometimes God breaker helmet, but the dragon bone heavy maybe worth a look as well as the executioner helmet. Glad to see heavy is an option now!!!
Demon Helm has been nerfed into the ground sadly. The point of the God breaker legs is the stamina regen and the champion chest helps cure poison. The build is aimed at the buffs it grants you. I won't be caught dead in heavy unless it's this build or armor pieces. Now medium on the other hand I may mess around with but I too am happy to see more builds able to be used.
@@Mahazioth Thanks for the response, I've tested further in combat. Opponent with venom pike poisons me almost every hit. Drain time is about 10 seconds with or without armor on. Boots however work a treat, they don't stop cripple but reduce it to barely 1 second timer. I'm defo going with the boots and probably leggings but for the cost I'll give the chest a miss. @@TheMonetary this. I noticed what SirDaveWolf originally said, but upon checking character armor type, it still correctly says heavy, and my character handles accordingly
It's a pretty obvious kit really. I still prefer the Redeemed Legion helm, since there are very few gas or sandstorm effects which will really pose a great threat to you. Godbreaker grips are the correct choice, but I never tried the Champion set really. I might give it a go
Yeah that's why I said it's my go to raid/defense kit. Gas mask, less poison, less cripple. The boots alone are A tier since stacking cripple is easiest it's ever been.
@@Mahazioth I didn't realize the boots had such an effect on cripple. Was using Redeemed SL for the extra stam, but I guess it's a negligible difference compared with the cripple nerf.
@@Mahazioth OH these boots both add encumbrance lol, but godbreaker gives a little less than redeemed. Might be worth it just to put armor reduction on these boots to make up for it.

If im kitted out with full god breaker heavy armor thats 75% damage reduction, i shouldnt be getting 50% of my health gone feom lv1 thralls. The combat rework makes authority pointless as thralls are too weak. I had a golem with over 20k health and itlost half of it fighting 1 guard in seprmeru. The games not balanced at all now
@@LocustaVampa i gotta doubt you. Ive got full god breaker gear, 76% damage reduction, only250 hp cause of corruption amd ive been one shotted by a berserker before. The combat is broken
the way you talk about "you have stuff from this time and that time laying arround" and "i have boxes and boxes of weapons so legendaries just get collected" .. makes me wana rush to a PVp server and compete with your 5 years of hording.. and you say they dont play their game.. I am sure of that. there is no reason for this game never having a 1 wipe, its retarded, have passed 5 years of bugs and exploits, and you people even talk openlly like.. "you should have, i have .. from that exploit, remember" .. yeah good game design.
